It was a nice show, and seemed WCW/WWFish. I must ask the point of changing the titles both times, but it is like what a real promotion would do. Gives the crowd the shock value of "anything can happen."

-After reading through, the show was good, but one location would have been better. Toronto just doesn't fit for GAB, but it was a nice try.
-Your writing made the US match look much better than it was, IIRC, 54% was the MQ, right? Even if it wasn't, your writing made the match look better than a 63 or 60.
-Putting the belts on Conway & Dinsmore. I voted for Palumbo & O'Haire because I don't think they (C&D) are ready for the belts yet, even if their overness in EWR says so, and judging from the titles losing overness, I think EWR agrees with me.
-Chavo injured?

Like I say sahyder, it is a new owner. News: Mike Modano has been confirmed as the captain for one of the teams. He will pick his players in April.

That's a pretty great roster, while the rules will be a bit of a change(especially with the wacky point system) It still looks really cool.

WHA originally came back with the plan that they'd be operating this season, but that owner sucked shit. A new owner is in, and they plan on starting in the 2005/06 season. Before that, they have Phil Esposito (sp?) running a tournament similar to the World Cup. Each player will receive $20,000 with the winning team splitting $2-million.
Only problem IMO is that games will be held in two cities, so there will be no "home" team. Old WHA jerseys will be worn. Rule changes galore, including an all new point system, which could mean 60 minutes of hockey.

I love this.
Over the last week and a half I was spending time reading this diary, every word, and I loved it. The last diary I read of yours was WWF/WCW 2001, and I loved that, but this beats it by 10x. As TAFKA said, this is hard to find faults. I'm definately coming back,

I read the show last night and am skimming through again right now. Very good, and interesting ending. I'll have to agree and disagree with what was just said, the Awakening vignettes are cool... but 0%? Unless you missed a number or something, YIKES.

Wow. I read part of your WCW 1995 diary, but never really got back to it. I'm definately coming back after this show. I do have to agree, however. I don't think you have all the characters nailed down, but it should come in time.

I really wish there was History or Geography amongst those categories, because those stats would have been hilarious, both Canadians and Americans are pretty much some of the most clueless people I've seen when it comes to those. It would have been nice to see who is actually worse.

Because of the huge snowstorm, the football (I think) arena in Grand Forks was lent for free to Canadians who can't drive home - the border is closed.
Glad they are playing it safe.Jerichoholic - the arena is full on the game right now.
EDIT - Lots of hockey insiders (The Hockey News is my main one, but others mentioned it) said USA need their goalie to play phenominal in the games that matter, and unless that happens they have no chance.

I am watching the Canada\Finland game right now - it is 2-0 for Canada in the first intermission. Dominating performance again, but the Fins look pretty strong in comparison to other teams.
Anywho, in the intermission it is also 1-0 Russia over Switzerland. Should the Swiss win and USA/CZE game to to a tie, Russia is eliminated! However, if Russia and Czech Republic win, then Russia gets first. Pretty interesting how one team can get first or not even go for a medal!

Yeah, I have to agree with TSN for USA to win Gold, they need Montoya to step up. He hasn't so far. But I'd also say for Canada to win Gold, they need Glass/Beauchmen (sp?) to steph up, or else it will be the same fate as the last seven years.
EDIT - Watching CZE -v- SUI right now. Swiss have a two man advantage and are down one nothing. Just for 30 seconds, but should be interesting. I think these guys are the cinderella story if they win this game, I wouldn't doubt better than fifth place.

Good couple of shows there. I think you should merge your two writing styles together; well just the opening. I like how Anderson and Hudson read out whatever at the start of the show. Seemed to add to it, IMO. But I really like the inclusion of the *star ratings.

Wow. Well worth the wait. I thought the whole show worked well, it seemed like a WCW show.
But I'm split on the decision to put the title on Venis so early. In my opinion, now you can't put a rematch at the next pay per view to have a credible main event. Either the fans know Venis will win, or Booker wins and deminishes credibility of the title.
As Spicedawg said, a six man match would be awesome - so I hope that is the main event of the next pay per view. Can have someone pin Venis maybe to make him the "number one contender." Like to see how you make this out.

I actually thought that was such a good deal to save the season. Players meet with Owners on Tuesday for a counter offer. 24% rollback is good, but in a way I agree with the owners, and with the players too. I'm 50/50, so I'm excited for Tuesday.

Another good show storyline wise. A lot of times though there were words that needed capital letters, and didn't have any. Keep it up!
