  1. The whole "we need a striker or we'll be shit" is definately an overreation, we do have a quality side, with the best defence in the premiership and some great attacking players as well and that email to SSN is absolutely absurd. I really want a striker but Fergie is quality and is normally spot on in the transfer market (ignore a few goalkeeping laps and the kleberson affair), and if he doesn't sign Berbatov it'll be because he's basically not worth that much money.

I still hope we can bring someone in though of good quality who can play upfront, as said though, if not then it's not the end of the world.

EDIT: Woooop come on Fergie! Don't let him out!

  2. Quoting like that is seriously annoying. Want me to pick apart your points? I won't.

What I will say is that I personally would like united to sign a striker because of what I said and that it will help the team. Obviously you don't agree, fine, end of.

Transfer news has been pretty quiet recently. Apparently a few rumours are veronin to Newcastle and Ashton to Villa...Neither of which I really see happening.

  3. Want a list?

    - He's coming back from injury and won't be straight back to the top of his game for a while.

    - The team shouldn't have to rely on one player who may not even live up to what he achieved last year.

    - Ronaldo's most likely leaving next year, so it'd be nice to find a top striker who can come in and fit in to united for a year and get used to the way we play.

    - Even though Ronaldo scores lots of goals we lack the poacher aka Ruud role and even though we won the league and champ leauge last summer we still lacked pentration at certain times.

    - Surely you want to improve on your squad? And with Chelsea and liverpool both significantly improving theirs, obviously united should be looking at doing the same.

And yeah I agree with you IaceI. Especially with the better teams, however with the lower teams in the premiership, or more tactical teams, the formations are still very important to the way they play. Look at Portsmouth for example with a distinct 442 formation when they play...so it is still important, but defiantely less important as it used to be.

  4. I don't think that's comparable because of the difference in money we're talking about. and the fact that rooney was such a fantastic young talent....I don't know...30+million is a hell of a lot of money.

And yeah Ronaldo will score goals, but it would be amazing to have a team that doesn't rely on a one player, and on top of that, one player that will be leaving to go to Real Madrid this summer. So yeah we do need a striker because Rooney won't get us many goals Tevez will chip in, but we need an out and out goal scorer.

  5. Chelsea full-back Paulo Ferreira is understood to be in talks over a possible move to West Ham.

The Portugal international, who joined the Blues in a £13.2million deal from Porto in 2004, signed a new five-year deal in February.

But the 29-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of compatriot Jose Bosingwa this summer, also from Porto.

West Ham are short of options at full-back with new Swiss winger Valon Behrami having had to fill in at right-back so far this season.

And Hammers boss Alan Curbishley has money to spend following Anton Ferdinand's £8m switch to Sunderland, according to Sky Sports News.

  6. Okay, I'm bored and currently applying for graphic design jobs and expanding the old portfolio.

So does anyone want to battle with some quite professional-esque rules.

IE: to result with a graphic that can be put on the portfolio (no wrestling, stupid ones :P)

Maybe a logo and poster idea job or something?

  7. Well nathan was shot, but it doesn't say he was killed. maybe he'll get to a hospital in time and survive? I started to really like his character. Nathan and Peter together rueld, although Peter does work so damn well as the loner who no one really understands.

The ending got me jumping around, absolutely fantastic television. Sylar has his powers back, AND has regenative powers!! THE SHIT HAS JUST HIT THE FAN!

Just read the post above after making that final part....So does that mean Sylar doesn't have her power? and it's just temporary? Because I like Sylar being human. Although the whole "shot in the head" will kill them thing just totally makes that power not seem as good.
