  1. It will be a long time before I get over Girardi not challenging that strikeout. Unbelievable.
  2. Nick Folk was so reliable for the Jets for many years...really sad to see him struggle so much last night.
  3. Yikes Trevor Bauer absolutely shut us down...and today's even tougher...Sabathia vs. Kluber is a mismatch for sure. Anything can happen though...if we steal it and head back to the Bronx split we could take this series. But that was a totally deflating game...reminiscent of our wild card game against Houston in 2015. As far as the Astros go...please just keep kicking Boston's ass.
  4. I still think the MLB All-Star Game is easily the best one and most fun to watch. It's the only All Star Game where they seem to try.
  5. I'm not saying that I think they will...but the Yankees can beat anybody. I felt if they lost this Wild Card game it would be disappointing...but from this point forward they are playing with house money. Granted I will be upset if they lose...but anything from this point forward is an excellent year regardless.
  6. Falling behind 3 runs in an elimination game is a situation worth freaking out about.
  7. I actually hate the change...I love East vs. West...I'm hoping this idea runs it course quickly.
  8. That Didi HR is the greatest Yankee moment in about five years. Unreal.
  9. Never assume the Jets will be able to do what's in their own best interest before a game ends
  10. That Patriots-Panthers game looked like it was following the same old New England rips your heart out script that's been the case for 15 years...but they lost? I'm confused now. What happens now?
  11. Josh McCown continuing to play adequately enough to jeopardize the franchise's future! Great!
  12. Here are my predictions for the upcoming season: East - 1. Milwaukee, 2. Cleveland, 3. Toronto, 4. Washington, 5. Charlotte, 6. Miami, 7. Detroit, 8. Boston West - 1. Golden State, 2. Houston, 3. New Orleans, 4. Minnesota, 5. Oklahoma City, 6. Denver, 7. San Antonio, 8. Los Angeles Clippers MVP - Kevin Durant (GSW) ROY - Dennis Smith Jr (Dallas) All Star Starters - Kyrie Irving, Lebron James, John Wall, Giannis Antetokoumpo & Joel Embid vs. Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis Conference Finals Cleveland def. Milwaukee in 5 games Golden State def. San Antonio in 7 games Finals Cleveland def. Golden State in 6 games
  13. Here are my predictions... Twins over Yankees Diamondbacks over Rockies Twins over Indians Red Sox over Astros Diamondbacks over Dodgers Cubs over Nationals Red Sox over Twins Diamondbacks over Cubs Red Sox over Diamondbacks -My logic is two-fold...playoff baseball requires no logic in your prediction, as there is no rhyme or reason why any team seemingly wins. Additionally, Boston wins every championship nowadays so why not another one here (and as a Yankee fan maybe this will jinx them)? I actually can win a decent amount of money if the Sox win because every year before the season I take the odds and put 50 bucks on the Red Sox to win the World Series and the Patriots to win the Super Bowl. That way my misery is rewarded. Granted, that being said, I'd rather give up all the money I will win if the Red Sox win the World Series just to watch them lose.
  14. I think you got to give him his arbitration money and hope for the best because that could lead to two potential positive things: Harvey has a bounce back year in his final year of his contract...which could either help the Mets in a playoff push or return assets in a trade. The Mets were devastated by injuries, but the team is not that far off. A core of Cespedes, Conforto, Rosario...with a rotation that beings with Syndegaard and DeGrom...there is no reason to give up on next season as well. Not doom and gloom.
  15. I think Green Bay wins in a romp tonight. Looking forward to another interesting slate of games this weekend. There is no team that is heads and shoulders above the pack (maybe Atlanta) as of right now...so it's making for an interesting start to the season as so many teams have realistic playoff chances.
  16. Every divisional series could have been a very good, believable championship series round... Boston/Houston, Washington/Chicago, LAD/Arizona or Colorado all are fantastic...and if it's Indians/Yankees as well that would be four fantastic first round matches.
  17. ...and there goes #50 as well! I am so excited for the Wild Card game and hopefully a playoff run after that. Yankees fans have been suffering for too long.
  18. Aaron Judge ties the all-time rookie HR record set by McGwire at 49. What an amazing year considering the expectations coming in.
  19. Why is it a foregone conclusion he leaves this winter anyway? Did he announce he's retiring? With guys like Donaldson, Tulowitzki, and Martin still there it's not like they are in a rebuild.
  20. Yea, but you can take some solace in seeing a couple Super Bowls! At least you're not a Mets-Jets fan. I have several friends (almost 30 years old) who love the Mets, Jets, Knicks and Rangers...and with exception to the Rangers winning when they were like 5 or 6 years old...they haven't seen any championships. It's sad.
  21. That was probably the best slate of 1:00 o'clock games we will see all year....while the results were tough to swallow, especially that Patriots win. Jets manhandling the Dolphins is OK with me if we only win 1 or 2 more games...but with Jacksonville at home and Cleveland on the road this Jet team might be 3-2 going into Week 6...and that's not something I'm happy about.
  22. Yankees clinch a playoff spot (a wild card game). If you told me in the beginning of the year, I would have been thrilled. Now I'm just bitter that we couldn't catch Boston despite how well we've been playing. The Wild Card game is a crap shoot...but I really feel like we can hang with any team in a Best of 7.
  23. I wonder why someone like Melo would rather go out and play in a crowded West where teams like GSW, SAS, Minnesota, Houston already have loaded squads (not to mention tough teams like potentially New Orleans, Denver, LAC) as opposed to asking to be traded to a team that is seemingly 1 Carmelo Anthony away such as Milwaukee, Toronto, or Washington...thus giving you a much easier run to the ring?
  24. As if Trump withdrawing his invitation to the Warriors wasn't funny enough due to Curry being "hesitant"...Lebron comes from the clouds today and responds something to the effect of "U bum. You can't withdraw an invitation when he wasn't going" Hilarious. Now with Cleveland most likely being bombed in the near future I wonder where the Cavs will be playing their home games this coming season?
  25. I actually think the Pistons are a playoff team in the East this year. I like the team...well-rounded.
