  1. I'm pretty much of the opinion that for the likes of the PED guys or a buffoon like Curt Schilling...let me decide for myself how I want to feel about them, how I want to talk to my kids about them. The MLB Hall of Fame committee are not my parents or my moral compass. I am capable of deciding for myself how to feel. Just let me see the game's best in there.
  2. For me it would be... Bonds Clemens Chipper Jones Vlad Guerrero Jim Thome Edgar Martinez Sammy Sosa Manny Ramirez Mike Mussina Curt Schilling
  3. I don't anticipate the Yankees will make a big move this summer...I do expect them to be all in on Manny Machado and/or Bryce Harper next winter though
  4. https://deadspin.com/roy-halladay-killed-in-plane-crash-1820229860?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow Ugh absolutely awful. At one point he was the best pitcher on the planet.
  5. I fell asleep last night after an exhaustive weekend, and when I woke up in the middle of the night I checked the score and couldn't believe what I was reading. Boy am I going to miss baseball come Tuesday or hopefully, Wednesday night when this all ends.
  6. For a few moments yesterday I was confused if I should change my Jet rooting interest from tanking to "oh hell this might be a playoff run"...but then the Jets did their thing and reassured me not to be confused...embrace the tank! Can't wait to see them ruin my tanking hopes again next week though when they beat the gutless Falcons. Seriously, Falcons...how can you not go into New England fired up last night? Gutless.
  7. Even though the Yankees got bounced I can't help but watch and love the World Series. While it's not as big of a deal as it once was there is something so special and historic to me about the World Series. These are two good teams...a lot of high quality players looking to get their first ring. I'll be watching...and I think it's going to be the Dodgers' year, but I'd prefer to see Verlander/Beltran/Altuve get rings.
  8. Porzingis had another awesome stat line...but sadly it's going to be a long, bland season for both New York teams. I'm hoping the Knicks are so bad they get a top 3 pick though...but competition amongst the bad teams in this league will be tough.
  9. Still heartbroken about last night...it must irritate everyone to see Yankee fans like myself say though that despite the loss I am so optimistic and happy about this team going forward (sounds like a cop out...but true). Everyone, except maybe Castro, had their moment in the playoff and got major experience. I'd like to see them add Jay Bruce for DH and maybe a utility infielder going into next year (Neil Walker)...let the Toddfather go as much as I loved him...and gear up for another postseason run. World Series should be great...it's cool knowing that in one scenario Kershaw gets a ring...the other scenario guys like Verlander, Beltran & McCann finally get one. I want the Astros to win, but I think the Dodgers win in 5.
  10. So much anxiety going into tonight's Game 7. Regardless of how the Yankees do I'm thrilled by what I saw this year...but I'm still confident going into the game.
  11. I personally want to see the Dodgers advance...but I wouldn't mind watching them sweat it out a little more.
  12. That win didn't really hit me until they said "The Yankees are now 1 win away from the World Series" Wow. I figured I would need to wait until 2019 to hear that again. The offense has been rolling! One more to go!
  13. For me it's my favorite athlete as a kid...Ken Griffey Jr. I honestly feel like in the mid-90s, Ken Griffey Jr was as big of a deal as Michael Jordan. He had it all...the swing, the stats, cool, amazing catches in centerfield. Griffey was the best. It's a shame he never had a World Series moment.
  14. What a game! What a comeback! Hopefully that was the confidence boost Judge and Sanchez needed to get going.
  15. We got ourselves a series in the ALCS. Hopefully this wakes up the Yankees bats going forward and most importantly gives Judge confidence as the series continues.
  16. If The Jets lose this game...I'm just going to choose to remember it as one of the countless times Tom Brady marched down the field and beat us in the end. That will be the only way I could cope with it. Maybe THE DUMBEST call I've ever seen.
  17. I didn't really think of the Eagles as Super Bowl Contender...thought they were a potential playoff team, but last night showed an extra something. Without Cowboys having Ezekiel for a few weeks they have an opportunity to distance themselves and get as much NFC homefield advantage as they can in the playoffs.
  18. I can't stand these replays where a guy is clearly safe, but his hand or foot comes off the base for a split second and he's then called out. It just seems like such a cheap out based only off technicality, not common sense whatsoever. I wish MLB would come up with a change of that replay rule, but I don't know how they can do it without leaving it vague. At least here it's not vague...it's just stupid.
  19. Yeaaaaaa! Unforgettable performances by Didi and CC....HUGE hit by Gardner. Unbelievable. Onto Houston we go! Lets go Yankees! And now hopefully Aaron Judge's at bats can stop looking like me in Little League where just contact = success.
  20. The stress I'll be going through Game 5 tonight will be very unhealthy for me.
  21. Bye Bye Boston! Three hours of bragging rights...hopefully more...for Yankees fans this year!
  22. I assume New England will come on strong any week now...pick up momentum, and if they get control of home-field they will go to another Super Bowl this year. If KC plays them at home, though, I think the Chiefs will beat them.
  23. It's funny how the NFL is hyping Monday Night Football by selling that they will be revealing the next Star Wars Trailer...as opposed to saying anything about the Vikings-Bears game.
  24. Intense Yankee win tonight...bats really need to wake up tomorrow though against Tomlin.
  25. Figures the year I actively root for the Jets to lose every game...they sit at the top of the division after Week 5. Now I'll root for them to beat the Pats, so safe to assume they will lose.
