  1. Madden is still > ESPN. But ESPN's a very good game. Just has too much of arcade feel for me.
  2. GEORGE: Awesome avatar. Cliff's my idol. Anyway... 10. Danzig 09. The Doors 08. The Beatles 07. Creedence Clearwater Revival 06. Black Label Society 05. Godsmack 04. Iced Earth 03. Government Mule 02. Corrosion Of Conformity 01. Metallica
  3. I still consider Pantera groove metal. Nothing will change my mind. I really don't like Pantera all that much.
  4. KEA is nowhere NEAR their best. Mustaine's overrated. Metallica's stuff got better after he was kicked out. And as far as him writing the best songs off the album...he wrote the music to The Four Horsemen, but listen to his shitacular version of it called "The Mechanix" now you tell me who's responsible for it being good. And Dave didn't write Seek And Destroy, Hit The Lights, Whiplash, or No Remorse. He just wrote the main riff to Motorbreath, the riff to Jump In The Fire, and a couple of riffs in The Four Horsemen. He hardly was the driving force behind the album.
  5. I think Metallica HAS been great lately. St. Anger is bashed and bashed but I love it. And their live show is still the best out there. As for best album, I think each one is so different it's hard to say, but my favorite(s) would have to be... Ride The Lighting ...And Justice For All but every week my favorite Metallica album changes. But those two remain on top most consistantly.
  6. The trailer is supposed to come off as creepy and weird. Tim Burton is making a darker movie. And looking at the trailer I think he nailed it PERFECTLY. The music fits EXACTLY. The whole feel comes across really well in the trailer.
  7. Darrell was shot point blank in the head. No one else from Damage Plan was hurt, but Vinne Paul was shot at. The shooter, Nathan Gale, took a DP crew member (not Vinnie) hostage and had him in a headlock when the Officer Niggemeyer shot Gale in the head with his shotgun. Reports say that Darrell died instantly as a fan in the audience tried doing CPR which he didn't respond to. Try reading Blabbermouth.net and you'll find out the REAL story. Not just the silly rumors.
  8. The guy is just lucky Zakk Wylde didn't get a hold of him before he died. Or else Zakk would've ripped him apart limb from limb and maybe gutted him like a deer.
  9. The only information in an actual article is the NBC News item I already posted. The information I'm getting is coming from the webmaster of Zakk Wylde's website, the guy who runs SiN's Metal News, and various people close to the band themself who were at the show. Reliable? Yes. But there's no one particular article.
  10. Sadly it's true. Darrell and the band's tour manager were killed. As was the shooter. He ran up on stage, started yelling at Dime, then grabbed him and shot him point blank in the face and continued shooting him as he laid there. Security tackled him and it's unclear who exactly killed the gunman. But I've heard everything from security killed him, to the cops did, to he turned the gun on himself. Vinnie Paul, Bobzilla, and Patrick Lachman are all safe and on the tour bus. That asshole who shot Darrell is just lucky he got off the planet before Zakk Wylde could find him.
  11. Just on KISW, some guy just jumped up on stage at a Damageplan in Columbusconcert and shot Dimebag and he's passed away. And, Vinnie Paul and one other member was shot. The gunman was shot and killed. Details to come. Here's link with an update!! http://www.nbc4i.com/news/3983630/detail.html COLUMBUS, Ohio -- At least three people died and four others were wounded after a shooting at a Columbus nightclub on Wednesday night, NBC 4 reported. The shooting took place shortly after 10 p.m. at Alrosa Villa, located at 5055 Sinclair Road. Two members of the heavy metal band Damageplan were reportedly shot and killed, including Dimebag Darrell, formerly with the band Pantera, NBC 4's David Wayne reported. The alleged gunman also died at the scene, Wayne reported. Shortly after the band began playing its first song, a man reportedly ran onto the stage and began shooting, according to a witness who identified himself as Sean. Some members of the audience reportedly thought the man running onto the stage with a gun was part of the band's act, NBC 4's Erin Tate reported. Witnesses said that several shots were fired at the band. Witnesses said that a bouncer at the club tackled the alleged gunman before that person was shot and killed. It was unclear as to whom shot the alleged gunman. Alrosa Villa is a popular north Columbus nightspot for young adults, featuring rock and heavy metal bands, NBC 4 reported. According to the band's Web site, Damageplan was touring nationally. It performed in Buffalo, N.Y., on Tuesday night and had a concert scheduled in Flint, Mich., on Thursday. Damageplan featured former Pantera artists Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. The pair were joined by vocalist Patrick Lachman and bassist Bobzilla, according to their Web site.
  12. None. But I can tell you of 2 CDs coming out in early 2005 that I am looking forward to... Corrosion Of Conformity - En Los Brazos Del Dios (First Quarter 05) Black Label Society - Mafia (March 8, 2005)
  13. Now THAT is why the Steelers are the team to beat. Screw New England.
  14. It just goes to show you that the Vikings = overrated. Just like always.
  15. My absolute favorite is "Something" with honorable mention going to... Here Comes The Sun Help! Dear Prudence (but the cover by The Clarks is way better) With A Little Help From My Friends (Joe Cocker version is even better)
  16. So I checked my digital cable viewing guide...and listed for MTV it said "America Or Busted"... So, knowing the reality tv trend, I assumed it was a reality game show about Mexicans trying to cross the border. But instead I get that shitty English band Busted and their quest to make it in America. Thank God for the man who invented the remote.
  17. Steve Urkel was screwed! Those dinosaur slippers put him into the top 10 alone! Jack Tripper and the Bundys deserve to be higher too. But I agree with Archie being #1. EDIT: My own personal Top 10 would be... 10. Dan Connor 09. Carlton Banks 08. Archie Bunker 07. Cosmo Kramer 06. Woody Boyd 05. Bart Simpson 04. Jack Bauer 03. Steve Urkel 02. Al Bundy 01. Homer Simpson
  18. 24 is such an awesome show. I'm already counting down the days until Season 4.
  19. Yes! Great movie, one of my favorites. WOLFMAN'S GOT NARDS?!?!? Awesome movie.
  20. I'll give you that about Dani Filth. I just don't like him. And Sebastian Bach, I consider him one of the best singers in metal. You can never have too much Bach. But he's not all that great of a writer.
  21. You like Korn. You can't talk about pussy bands. Just my opinion. ←
  22. Watching the game reminded me of a question I had...does anyone know if there's a particular reason Jim Nantz and Greg Gumbel switched places this season? IMO, Gumbel and Simms make a much better announce team than Nantz and Simms. I hate Jim Nantz.
