  1. ESPN reporting Texans have reached contract negotiations with Mario Williams to be the Number 1 pick. Wasn't expecting this, but I think this is a MUCH better football move than drafting Bush. As for the fan-base and merchandise, Eh.
  2. Why all the Simms hate? Everyone seems to think hes the same as he was in college. Hes done a hell of a job after the first Panthers game, improving his decision making a lot and showing a lot of poise. Hes been a beast in the clutch too. Leadin 3 come back drives late, would be 4 if a 29 yard field goal kick was made gainst the Bears.
  3. Didn't Oklahoma have a good defense last year? They tore them apart however. Defenses aren't too prevalent in the Pac-10 however.
  4. When was the last time USC played a great defense? Last one I can remember is like Virginia Tech opening game last year.
  5. It was the right call, just a fucking terrible spot. Ball should have been atleast 1 yard back from the 1. Fuck USC.
  6. Yeah, the flight scene was pretty poorly done. And, what was the second song played in the episode? Tried to look on WB.com, but when I got to Smallville, I got a bunch of bullshit.
  7. I only caught the last 30 minutes of this episode, but wow, that was some fucking great television. Best thirty minutes of Smallville in recent memory.
  8. Not familiar with Yahoo groups and such. How do get to the group to join?
  9. Soldier X-Don Wulffson All Quiet on the Western Front-Eh, Can't remember the author.

After watching the season finale. All I have to say is What The Fuck.
  11. From my understanding, the Owners in England play a much larger role than in the NFL correct? Anyways, Glazer as an owner for the team is reasonable good. He does whatever it takes to win. And will most likely go after the latest fads of your free agent market. In 2001 he traded a large amount of our draft picks over the next two years(2 being first rounders) and a large amount of cash, I think 8 million, for our current Head Coach Jon Gruden. Jon won us the Super Bowl the next year, but we've went down pretty fast. Point is, he get what he wants, no matter what he has to give up. Although, all things mentioned in what naiwf posted is sadly true.
  12. Because A-Train's a young back who's shown the potential to be a starting back. In a Bill Parcells system in which he had Curtis Martin, I thiink it could benefit both parties. Because, frankly, behind Julius Jones, there's nothing. Like you said, George isn't that great of a back anymore and they need a back in case Jones gets hurt like he did last year. Insurance policy more than anything. ←

Raiders have agreed to a contract with Lamont Jordan.. Damn, they're really going at it this offseason. And the Bucs signed Griese to a 5 year 32 million dollar contract. Although the contract gives the Bucs every possible way to get out of the deal, Griese is still the guarenteed starter come next September. Bullshit.

And? So what if it is by an average of 3 points? They still won the game to simply even go to the Superbowl 3 out of the past 4 years is an accomplishment, but to win them? Even more. Like naiwf's saying, the Cowboys wouldn't be able to last with the salary cap today. Besides, the dominance was solely based on the skills of that O-Line. I'm not saying that Irvin, Smith, Aikman, etc. weren't awful players, but let's put it this way. Irvin was a good wideout, but he also had his flaws (like his uncanty knack of finding cocai...I mean, trouble ). And Aikman was horribly overrated. Don't get me wrong, he was a good Quarterback, but probably wouldn't have done as well as he did if he hadn't had weapons like Smith and Irvin and the best O-Line in football. Smith as well. I think Smith's a good back, don't get me wrong, but to say he's the greatest and that he deserves the rushing title is wrong, because somebody up north in Detroit did more than Emmitt and he didn't have any talent around him. I just feel that the management team of the Pats and the coaching staff deserve some baddass recognition. If the Pats stay consistent and get to at least the AFC Championship next year, I'm calling Belicheck the best coach in NFL history, because to do that with all the stuff that's going to be happening, and all the stuff that's happened these past few years, you'll be hard pressed to find a coach that did that well with all those problems. And this is coming from a 49ers fan who thinks that Bill Walsh is the greatest coach of all-time lol. And don't even get me started on Tom Brady. The guy's just amazing and for anyone to say he sucks, I would love to suck that bad and win 3 out of 4 Superbowls. ←

Meh. As a Patriot Hater, the game dissapointed me a bit. But I really would have wish Tom Brady would have won the MVP. Wonder how that would have gone down, General Moters giving Tom Brady a car while he's in the process of suing them. Sean Salibury is a fucking douche, Patriots winning next year?? Patriots being a better team then the 90's Cowboys because they won by less? Somebody really needs to slap some sense into him.
