  1. of course, they still had opportunities to win the game, but didn't. so are you saying that they needed that call to win the game ? what exactly does that say ? Tell your quarterback to throw the ball into the endzone, not to the 4 ...
  2. Just search Mirko Cro Cop at dailymotion. It's on there.
  3. Light Heavyweight is one of their bigger divisions, he'll have plenty of challengers. I bet he'll get dethroned by someone that goes on short notice...that's the only thing that MMA and boxing have in common. Other than that, Brandon Vera won't have to worry about dropping weight when he beats Monson/Sylvia for the title. It's bound to happen. That guy's gonna become hot shit soon....Frank Mir better go for the kill in round one or he'll be too gassed to do anything against him. This'll be the pose he makes over Frank Mir's concussed body.
  4. There's an interview up on Sherdog with Chuck that has him pretty much saying it's off. In Meltzer's newsletter, he said the deal went down because UFC was under the impression that by having Silva come over, they were going to take over the rest of his contract with Pride. There's not really any competition left now for Chuck. There's the obvious Tito match. (Which Chuck said he is hearing December 30th in the interview) But what the hell would the UFC do if Tito loses(very unlikely) to Ken. That would be a predicament. But anyway, the only legit contender I can see in the UFC after Tito for Chuck is Vera if he drops down. I figure he'll stay in Heavyweight for a while though. He has a match at 65 with Mir, which is rumored to be a #1 contender shot. And anyone caught the Bushido results? Henderson lost, which makes having the champs participate in the GP's look fucking retarded again.
  5. Last night? I think you are a week behind on this one.
  6. And in more Brock news. He came on a K1 show last night and announced he was going to fight at the LV Hero's event. And to add on to that, Royce Gracie came out and said he was going to train him. It's a one fight deal I'm pretty sure. So basically, Brock is training with one of the best camps in MMA, acclaimed Boxers and Kickboxers, and now with one of the best BJJ specialists. He's really not pulling any stops with this one. All of that training + a NCAA Div 1 Championship background + a physical specimen like Brock Lesner is just scary. If he has a good chin, I fully expect him to live up to the hype.
  7. Holy shit, what a fucking fight. Fight of the year so far IMO. I had 10-9(maybe 10), 9-10, 10-8 Diego. The 30-26 score was fucking ridiculous though. Still, hats off to both. And damn, Diego made Karo's tooth fly.
  8. Gradkowski. And Simms'll keep his job because Tim Rattay's the next best quarterback they have, pathetic. Simms can't perform under pressure, doesn't have a particularly great arm, and isn't agile enough to avoid sacks. I'd see him as a decent back up, but not a long term starter.
  9. Did you watch any of the game? He had some great passes that his recievers dropped. One was a perfect bomb. He didn't play great though, but not bad considering the circumstance. Campbell looked good tonight sides the INT. Any Redskins fans wanna fill me in on why the hell Todd Collins was put it before him? That was just awful. And any Bengals fans, where was Chris Perry?
  10. I believe the Cro Cop situation is almost(if not already) resolved. Brandon Vera vs. Frank Mir has been added to UFC 62. Credit-www.brandonvera.com. This makes the card much more intriguiging to me. I love watching Vera fight. He's no doubt the future of UFC heavy, and probably one of the best well rounded fighters around. If Mir shows up like he did at 61, Vera by murder. But IMO, Mir at his best still can't beat Vera.
  11. Cro Cop took himself out of the OWGP, money issures. EBG, might want to switch the sig. Possibly Pride is in much more trouble than previously thought?
  12. More Brock news. "Former Gophers NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion Brock Lesnar has been vigorously training near his home in Independence for an "ultimate fighting" match in October in Las Vegas. Former heavyweight boxer Scott LeDoux is training Lesnar, a former professional wrestler, for boxing, and Lesnar also has a mentor to help him improve his kicking skills." http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/s...se/15184463.htm Pride's US debut is in October, right? Intresting then who he'll be fighting for. UFC must know the kind of publicity Brock will give them. If he's fighting for Pride, that would be a great way to introduce them to the US audience.
  13. Rhett Bomar was dismissed from Oklahoma, after being found to have recieved 18 k from a booster for work he didn't do. Guard J.D Quin also. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2537332 Darren McFadden(Arkansas), fucked up his big toe royally after getting into a fight outside a club round 4 a.m. The story is some one was trying to steal his stepbrother's car. Darren fucked up his toe after his shoe fell off and he stubbed it. Estimated time out is 4-6 weeks, USC game is unlikely. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2533575 Miami suspended 4 players from their came with Florida State. Tyrone Moss, Ryan Moore, James Bryant(LB), and Rashaun Jones(WR). http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2536340 Auburn has suspended Trey Blackmon(LB) and Kevin Sears(TE) for the first 3 games of the season. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2537412 Basically, Oklahoma's fucked. Bomar was coming onto his own last season. Yeah, their D's good, but now teams will be able to focus on Peterson, more-so than they already did. On top of that, they lost a stud off their already shake line. The loss of McFadden hurts Arkansas, he's a fucking amazing player. Watching him burn SEC defenses like he did last year was just scary. On the good side, there's still a possibility he may be back for USC(I actually predicted them to win). If not, Felix Jones is a hell of a back, and Michael Smith was rated above both before his injury at camp last year. I hope to God he's back for the game, as I'll be there. The loss of those players for Miami may look real bad, but it's not as bad as it looks. Tyrone Moss was probably unlikely to play anyway, and Charlie Jones proved he can carry the load from what I saw of him. Ryan Moore, eh, he sucks anyway. So yeh, pretty eventful week in College Football.
  14. Assuming Brock doesn't up and quit like he does with EVERYTHING. Well to be fair, Brock was cut in the NFL and then was left with nothing to do because of his contract to Vince. hence NJPW and he didn't start the MMA training until after he settled the contract, did he?
  15. Pat Militech talked up Brock pretty nicely on Dave Meltzer's show. Even went as far to say, "In a year, there will be nobody in the world that can beat Brock Lesnar."
  16. I like Diego as well, he doesn't get respect from a lot of people. But no matter how you put it, he's undefeated and always gives it all he's got. This fight vs. Karo is something I'm looking forward too, maybe more than Chuck/Babalu 2, and it's rumored that the winner will face Penn in October. I saw a thread on Sherdog with some guy claiming he saw Brock Lesner training at Militech this week. Guy seemed legit, and was pretty informal so I found no reason not to believe him. If true, great choice by Brock. MFS is one of the top tier camps in MMA.
  17. I felt the Shamrock-Ortiz fight was ended early as well. If the shots were that hard, Ken would have been a bloody mess. or at least had a couple scratches. Arvloski/Silvia was one of the worst fights I've ever seen. Arvloski fought like a pussy cause he knew his chin was shit. Silvia only pressed once. Neither fighter ever hit the ground. We left Hooters before the the fifth round cause none of us didn't even give a shit who wins anymore. The only moment of the night that meant anything to me was the Silva-Liddell moment. I knew Silva was going to be there, didn't think anything of it. When Dana called him up I was thinking WTF? I'm not expecting Chuck to lose to Babalu anyway, but now Chuck BETTER fucking win. Overall, worst UFC show in recent memory. No fights stuck out.
  18. Isn't Essein going to be suspended for the next game? That's all the announcers talked about for a good five minutes.
  19. Wow, I think this is the most shocking first round I can remember. Hadn't really heard of Joseph before the Bucs picked him; Thought for sure we were going to take Justice. But I've come to trust the Bucs Scouting Department after the success of our recent drafts. Like I stated eariler, I think Williams is a GREAT move by the Texans. I've never really been on the Bush bandwagon, and Davis is a Top 10 back when healthy IMO. If the zone blocking scheme succeeds, will put up atleast 1500 a year barring injury. And elite Defensive Ends are way more rare in the NFL than elite running backs. I know there is the consistency question mark on Williams, but he seems like a hard working guy, and he will be in Training Camp from Day 1, doubt Bush will be. Anyways, I've always thought Young and Davis are the top offensive players in the draft. Young may be as dumb as a sack of bricks, but he flat out can play football. The fact that he will sit at least a year on the bench will do wonders for him IMO. Surpised Ko Simpson hasn't been picked yet. He is the best Safety talent in the draft, just raw. Cost himself a lot of money from coming out so early. Whoever takes him is going to get a STEAL. Love that Addai got picked by Indy, he'll fit well there. Also adds to the streak of LSU players taken in the first round. No doubt in my mind that streak will continue for years to come.
  20. No, The Texans have already signed Williams. He WILL be the Number One pick.
