I love this diary. It's not one that jumps right out and punches you in the face, but once you get into it, it's a great read. I also wouldn't say it's the greatest diary I've ever read. But the way it has gone, with your writing style and your top-notch storylines (which, the way you write everyone, even a subpar storyline would be good), it's just solid.
-
Oooo, Bret and Raven, that should be good. Could we see the ultimate upset, and get RAVEN with the WCW World title?! I kinda doubt it after all the build that Hart had running up to this point, but only you know for sure.
I'm not really sold much on Sanders as the Commissioner. I mean, I love Mike Sanders's work and that's especially on the mic, but in 1999 he wasn't even out of the Power Plant yet I don't believe. If he was, he was jobbing on Saturday Night. No one would have ANY clue as to who that is and WHY he's getting such a high role in the company. Personally, I would have expected someone like Steamboat coming in to be the new boss.
But again, it's your universe and not the known universe, I'm just here to enjoy it. And aside from that little thing, I am still enjoying this as much as I did when I started reading it.

The Flatliner/Downward Spiral/Complete Shot isn't the Stroke. It's like it, but different. Your body is on the side facing the opponent rather than beside and behind them.
Just trying to help.
-
That....was....awesome!
Dude, SIGN CORINO. He can be the heel backbone of Raw, sign him!
-

I love the way that Bischoff is on top of the world, while other forces are conspiring to take him down.
-
Well I really liked your TNA diary, and this is just as good if not better. Here's hoping your technical difficulties don't continue.
-
I had no problem with the Pillman thing, I apologize if you thought I did; I was just pointing it out, and waiting to see a show.
You have Flair down pretty good, which is a good thing because he seems to be over most of the show. There are a few random things here and there that don't really amount to anything (Ultimo didn't debut the Dragon Sleeper until 97 I believe, and WCW's January PPV wasn't Souled Out until 1997), but as suicide said: it's your diary and you can run it how you see fit....and like I said, it was things that don't really amount to anything. You have good grammar and have a good grasp on writing the matches, as they're not too long and not too short. I don't know if you did diaries before this one, but apparently I was missing out.
I'm interested in seeing what you have cooked up for crazy Pillman.
-
Pillman was actually a Horseman until Superbrawl VI.
-
Wow, I'm really sucking on my predictions this month thus far.
-
Cool. Nice to see that we're out of reposts.
I'm thinkin that before long, Stacy will end up with ECW.
-
1. Pick the winner: Chris Benoit v. Molly Holly
But the only way that the Molly push will truly die is if she has to retire or the contract runs out.
2. Pick the winner: Matt Hardy v. Eddie Guerrero
I'd love to see Eddy get it. But if we're building to Matt vs Edge, then there is that.
3. Pick the winner: La Résistance v. Booker T and Scott Hall
4. Who pins whom? Dupree over Hall.
5. Pick the winner: Ron Simmons v. Nathan Jones
6. Who, if anyone, will be Simmons's manager? Paul Heyman.
7. Pick the winner: Alexis Laree v. Jackie Gayda
Please.
8. Pick the winner: Ron Killings v. Jose Maximo
Jose is in this simply because Joel was a whiny bitch.
BONUS MOMENTS
9. When someone retires, either they pass the torch or they get beaten up as a goodbye. Which will happen? Beaten up.
10. Who will be involved in it? Who else? Randy Orton.
11. Of the following three options, which will describe the outcome of Kidman's decision:
A. He joins Undertaker to be reunited with Torrie
B. He recovers Torrie from Undertaker
C. He leaves Torrie and goes on his own
I too can feel this being farmed out until WM, so I'll say that he joins with them for now. But he'll turn on them later.
THE ROYAL RUMBLE
12 and 13. Who drew #1 and #2? (Answers will be considered interchangeable.) Michael Shane and Rob Van Dam.
14. Who drew #30? Tracy.
15. Who wins? Well it wouldn't have to be Edge, because that's getting it's own buildup, so I'll guess someone from Raw. And that Raw person would be Chris Jericho.
16. Who is second? Edge.
17 and 18. Who finishes third and fourth? Christian and Randy Orton.
19. Who will spend the most time in the ring? It's usually someone we really don't expect (like Backlund and Martel), so I'll say Michael Shane.
20. Who will be credited with the most eliminations? Batista.
21. How often will only one person be in the ring (apart from, obviously, the very end)? Twice
22. One person advertised for the Rumble will withdraw. Who? Kidman
23. Who will be picked to replace that person? I'll say Tajiri. It's not like he'll have much of a chance.
-
Oooooo, drama. Does this mean that Bret Hart may get a raise to put Hogan out legit? Now y'done got me all intreguied and stuff again.

::Cruiserweight Title Match::
Chavo Guerrero © Jr. vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero
Just have a feeling.
**Last minute addition by Pres. Ric Flair to Spring Stampeed!
::Television Title Match::
Curt Hennig © vs. Kanyon
As much as I love Kanyon, having Hennig lose the belt now would be a bad thing.
::Special Guest Referee: Arn Anderson
Chris Jericho vs. Booker T
I got a feeling Arn's gonna either get knocked out, or else he'll inadvertantly screw Jericho, or he'll screw Jericho on purpose and turn face.
**Last minute addition by Pres. Ric Flair to Spring Stampeed!
::Tag Team Title Match::
Saturn & Rick Steiner © vs. The Giant & Bam Bam Bigelow
::US Title Match::
Diamond Dallas Page © vs. Scott Steiner
I really don't see Steiner getting the US title here. I may be crazy.
::Steel Cage Match::
Sting vs. Raven
If not, then all the buildup for him has been for nothing.
::World Heavyweight Title Match::
Hollywood Hogan vs. Bret Hart
Hmmm. Well, we know what the ending will likely be. But Hogan could still try and get screwy....but then again, Hart may put him in the Sharpshooter until Hogan gets hurt legit. Eh, I'll keep figuring on the draw.
-
I dunno man. I like how the show came out, but I'm not sure about Savage with the nWo.
It'll be better than Hogan, I'll give it that. But....Savage? He kicks ass and all, but still.
-
This only means one thing.
We won't see the Hartkiller Kick here
-
9. NWA Heavyweight Championship
Jeff Jarrett © vs. “The Macho Man” Randy Savage
7. Abyss vs. “The Alpha Male” Monty Brown
If Abyss wins, Monty Brown will never get another title shot in TNA!
If Monty Brown wins, He is the number one contender!
8. Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun – 6 Man Tag Team Elimination Match
The New Flock (Raven, Slash and Sinn) vs. Jeff Hardy, BG James and Ron Killings
3. NWA Tag Team Championship – Four Team Match
New York Connection © vs. American Patriots vs. America’s Most Wanted vs. Kazarian and Shane
1. Christopher Daniels vs. Elix Skipper
6. TNA X-Division Championship
Chris Sabin © vs. Petey Williams
2. New York Streetfight
Glenn Gilberti vs. Johnny B. Badd
At least I hope so. This feud must end!
4. Konnan vs. Diamond Dallas Page
5. Tag Team Grudge Match
Kid Kash and Dallas vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka
Show Questions:
Will the person Jarrett called show up at Final Resolution? Yes
If Yes – Who is that person going to be? Steve Corino!
What will be the worst match – rated due to overall match rating in %? Jarrett vs Macho
What will be the best match – rated due to overall match rating in %? Daniels vs Skipper
Will Final Resolution see anyone debut? No (Corino wouldn't necessarily be a debut)
Will anyone turn at Final Resolution? No
What will be the elimination order for the Clockwork Orange match? (1 point for each correct)
Slash, BG, Killings, Sinn, Hardy
What will the overall PPV be rated – as a %? 75%
What will the buyrate be for the show? 1.23
-
I like Simmons with the US title. Here's hoping that they have a presentation on SD with a different design belt, because the real WWE US title sucks. Bring back the old school design, Dukes!
But I really hope that it won't turn into Bradshaw defeating Simmons for the title. But what would DA2k4 think about yet ANOTHER big guy holding the US title now? Either I think too far into it, or you are damn good at producing the unforseen drama!
-
Scott Hall & Malice vs. Jeff Jarrett & Ken Shamrock
By cheating, over Hall. That gives Jarrett more claim to the World title.
NWA X-Division Championship Match
Low-Ki © vs. Prince Siaki (w/The Island Boys)
Siaki has NEVER fit in the X Division. Unless you want it to be more of a midcard title rather than a specialty title, then go ahead and give it to Siaki. But otherwise, Ki should kick his ass.
NWA Tag Team Championship Match
The New Church (w/Rev. Mitchell) vs. York & Matthews (w/Alicia)
Why? No reason. I just really wouldn't think changing the titles this soon would be good for them.
AJ Styles vs. Devon Storm
As much as I like Crowbar, AJ is a better representative for the X title. And besides that, AJ has stuff he could go into with Jarrett and Awesome. Having him lose to Devon Storm would make him look somewhat weak after that.
Brian Lawler & BG James vs. The West Hollywood Blondes
For one, it's the West Hollywood Blondes. And two, Lawler is in a feud. Why make him look bad by losing to WHB?
-
Spring Stampede was possibly the real WCW's best show in 99, but I got a hunch that you can do better than they did with it.
I'm still waiting for when Stevie attempts to join the Extreme Group, and an Evenflow. Just because, it's Raven, and, y'know, he's Stevie.
-
I could see Molly getting about a 10-minute reign by a fluke pinfall and then Benoit pulls his rematch clause immediately and wins it back.
I'd say "great show"....but I'm sure you already knew that.
-
Ah, alright.
Really, I've only heard so many Corino promos - but I figure if I could picture him saying something, then it's pretty good. And I can picture Corino saying all the things you've had him say.
-
Great stuff and all (especially loving your Corino promos), but I'm curious. Did you just pick the timeframe of five years out of the blue, or is this a game that you've played and are just doing a diary of now?

Damn, I liked this a lot.
Ah well, it happens, I guess.
