  1. Not a full on status update just a small grrr.

    Final Dungeon

I expected Tiamat to be near the next set of stairs like the rest, but it was a far few steps from them. That's okay, fine. Killed it and decided to backtrack to see if I missed anything. I'd missed a sword for my Knight. Wandered back over to the stairs and encountered Tiamat again. What the hell? I assumed once it was dead it wouldn't crop back up. Ended up with three people dead because of Scourge. Oh well, on to the final boss.

Done with the final dungeon now, so I guess this is my last main game status update at least. May go on to the extra dungeons in a bit.

    Status Update

    J (Knight) Level 54

    Benji (Ninja) Level 53

    Ollie (White Wizard) Level 54

    Ruki (Black Wizard) Level 54

    Time: 11:49

    Gil: 550001

This is saved just in front of Garland. It was a heck of a fight. Used Full Life twice, and kept up Hasted attacks and Flare, and it finally killed him off. Going to use an Emergency Exit and go to the bonus dungeons now.

I have to say, the main game has been fun, even though half the time I haven't know where I'm going or anything.

  2. So, I have been playing a fair bit, so let's get in a:

    Status Update

    J (Knight) - Level 45

    Benji (Ninja) - Level 45

Ollie (White Wizard) - Level 45

Ruki (Black Wizard) - Level 45

Gil - 273722 (Holy crap, big difference from last update)

    Time - 10:24

So, I figured out what to do with the Levistone, and went to the Citadel Of Trials (by accident) and got my rat's tail. Then found Bahamut's islands, and gave that to him for the class change. Got the faerie bottle, got some Oxyale and then went off to the Sunkern Shrine. Got very lost in there. Defeated Kraken pretty easily, and then found out I needed to take the stone I got to Unne in Melmond. Did that, learned Lufenian from him. Then went to look for the town I couldn't land by earlier and by chance it was Lufenia. Someone there gave me something which they said would allow me in to the Mirage Tower. I assumed that was the tower I coup tuld see and walk up to, but not in earlier. Wandered up there and got to a second dungeon to fight Tiamat and gain my final crystal.

I assume I'm nearly done. I'm just wandering around buying magic as I should really get an Undead killing spell and some other things. Also someone told me there was a hidden magic shop in Lufenia. Gotta find it as it apparently sells Flare.

  3. Another section done, so another update.

    J (Warrior) Level 28

    Benji (Thief) Level 28

    Ollie (White Mage) Level 28

    Ruki (Black Mage) Level 28

    Time: 06:12

    Gil: 63361

Beat Kary (okay, not called that but is in 8BT and can't remember the name) in the volcano. Benji died just before the following blow knocking the levelling out of whack. First KO in the game. So, two more crystals to go, but I'm not sure where to go for the next one. Got my canoe, so I'll have a look around.

Keep getting poisoned, so might nip back to Cornelia briefly and get Poisona, or stock up on Antidotes somewhere as the nearby town doesn't stock them.

  4. So, before I start playing again, I'll give a:

    Status Update

I'm on GBA, so can't provide screenshot. :(

    J (Warrior) Level 24

    Benji (Thief) Level 24

    Ollie (White Mage) Level 24

    Ruki (Black Mage) Level 24

    Time: 05:00

    Gil: 89696

I have the Earth Crystal and am apparently in the right place for the Fire Crystal. Crescent Lake. Healra has been very useful. I also have Firaga which I keep using to take down groups of enemies, though I probably don't need to.

  5. GBA version >>> NES Version.

So much so that it's not even funny.

So, what, I can't bring anyone back to life without a pheonix down? Lame. Inn doesn't work.

There's a church type thing in each town. Take dead party members there, and they charge you a fee to bring them back to life

  6. What does the Lock spell do? I bought in an ill-fated previous game but I could not get it to work on anyone. :(

Focus is a Level 1 Black Magic spell. It lowers an opponent's evasion stat by 20. It was called Lock in the original NES version.

In the NES version, the spell is bugged, it always misses.

So if you're playing the NES version. DON'T BUY IT!

  7. Okay, I'm starting on Final Fantasy I: Dawn Of Souls. My team is:

Warrior - J (PkmnTrainerJ or even PkmnTrnrJ doesn't fit)

    Thief - Benji

    White Mage - Ollie

    Black Mage - Ruki

Was basically looking through the thread to see people I recognised from the FF thread, so that's how we got that. Might do it for each game where you can name characters. Right. On that note, let's go save the world.

  8. Also, bring back Claire, I miss her :(

Emile de Ravin is off for almost all of season five (she should appear in the finale), but back as a regular cast member for season six.

So...might have read some spoilers and need to blab about them somewhere.

Major (?) Spoilers for The Little Prince/This Place Is Death

Ellie, whom Dan seemingly knew, is in fact Eloise Hawking (the old woman Ben speaks to). Also in the next episode, despite being credited as something different, we'll see young Rosseau, Robert (Alex's father) and Montand. Miles & Juliet get nosebleeds too
  9. But by seeing themselves, they already have changed something. For example, we've already seen the scene where Sawyer tries to get revenge on a boar, and a second Sawyer didn't come along and say "Hey Wassup?". If we were to see him do that on a future episode, he'd have changed what we originally saw in that scene. I think you're only counting "change" as certain events, and not everything.

I think it will mainly be the whispers that people heard that are actually our Losties talking elsewhere.

So in case you're wondering about the people who threatened to cut off Juliet's hand, this sneak peek answers it - http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2009/01/e...eak-peek-3.html
