  1. Shadow & Metal Sonic. Why did we not get them as costumes, maybe Knuckles & Silver too? They're not all that different. Syntax Error made some great ones. Unless Nintendo is planning on adding DLC to it themselves, I don't see why they're closing the sites down. Demand is obviously there.

  2. It's pretty awesome. I have the whole series on DVD, and it awoke me to Dylan Moran's awesomeness, so now I go and see him whenever he tours here. Bill Bailey too, but I was aware of him before Black Books.

  3. Where do I get the Versus Seeker in Fire Red? I just got the Marshbadge after beating Sabrina, my current team is:

    Blastoise

    Jolteon

    Fearow

    Vileplume(HM Slave)

    Mankey

    Butterfree

Blastoise,Jolteon and Fearow are in good levels but I need to train up Mankey and Butterfree so the Versus Seeker would be useful.

Vermillion Pokémon Center. Girl by the counter.

  4. Must-have

    Legend Of Zelda: Minish Cap

    Pokémon Emerald

    Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

If you're in to the series

Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn Of Souls

Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World

Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past

If you can find it/have spare cash for it

Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town

    Sword Of Mana

  5. So my buddy finally bugged me enough to pick up Wild World....and it's already frustrating. We're both trying to visit eachother via Wi-Fi friend codes and what not, but it won't let me generate mine. After going through the proper routine(talking to Copper, connecting to Wi-Fi, etc etc), he gives me a reply saying "I'm terribly sorry...For some unfathomable reason, you can't visit that town right now". Granted, this message is given after I'm trying to get my own friend code.

Any idea what's up? Or am I just stoopid? :mellow?

Nintendo WFC itself has been a bit buggy for DS WiFi-ing for the past few days. I think a lot of people have wifi Wii games for Christmas (like Brawl or Animal Crossing) so it's overloaded the WFC servers or something along those lines.

  6. I play, and set my DS up with my wireless net, but im not sure how to work friends and friendcodes. So if someone (J, looking at you) could teach me, we could sort something out.

You just need to register each other's friend codes in the Pal Pad (key item you get in Jubilife), and then go downstairs in the Pokémon Centers for WiFi trading/battling. You issue an activity, such as level 50 battle, and the other person applies to join that activity.

  7. I've got Let's Go To The City now...haven't played it yet, but once I've figured it out a bit I'd be up for indulging in some WiFi nonsense with some of you lot. Haven't got the mic yet, though. Assuming you can buy it seperately? I've not seen it for sale without Let's Go To The City anywhere...

I'll import my WW character later on. My brother imported his, and then we can wifi. By the way, I have peaches, so try and get some different fruit so I can nab one of yours and vice versa. ^_^

  8. WiFied with some people on an Animal Crossing forum about four hours ago as I was bored. First time I've done so in ages, had forgotten how nice it was to skip to a time when Nook's is open elsewhere due to time differences. Upgraded someone's Nook's to the final expansion and chatted to all the villagers. As we had three people all visit one another's town, I'm not sure which resident will replace Mint when she moves.

Also, I will have Let's Go To The City tomorrow, which should be all kinds of awesome.

  9. 10. Damages season two

The second season of this FX gem adds William Hurt to the mix as a person from Patty Hewes' past. Season one started with Ellen walking down the street covered in blood. How will season two start? And how is this all the way down at number 10?

    9. Reaper season two

Some say that Reaper was the best new show of 2007, and we can buy that argument (even though it was almost canceled). Mixing sci-fi, comedy, drama, and most importantly, Satan, Reaper is one underdog we hope lasts a long time.

    8. American Idol edition eight

How can we not have American Idol on this list? The reality phenomenon is pop culture and dictates water-cooler discussion as long as it's on. Besides, don't you want a preview of who will be singing next year's top-selling Christmas album?

    7. Dollhouse series debut

Two words: Joss Whedon. Wait, make that four words: Eliza Dushku. Whedon is a masterful story-teller, Dushku is a sci-fi geek's dream, and the plot is wide open for all sorts of settings. Early bad buzz knocks this down to number seven, but we still think it'll be just fine.

    6. Flight of the Conchords season two

Bret and Jemaine are hilarious, talented, and let's face it--adorably cute. A year-and-a-half ago, no one knew who they were; now tickets for their shows are selling out in minutes. The funniest thing on HBO since Mr. Show.

    5. Kings series debut

We have our fingers crossed so tightly for this one they're broken. A preview at Comic-Con left our jaws on the floor, and NBC is very high on this modern-day take on David and Goliath. And with Ian McShane on board, we know it's going to be intense. Can Kings save NBC? We'll be tuned in to find out.

    4. 24 season seven

It's been too long since day six ended, and with the year off, producers were able to go back and make sure season seven was top notch. 24: Redemption was an appetizer for what's in store: no more CTU and the return of Tony Almeida.

    3. Breaking Bad season two

For seven gritty, peek-through-your-hands episodes, strike-shortened season one of AMC's Breaking Bad totally caught us by surprise. Bryan Cranston delivered the performance of the year as Walter White, and Aaron Paul became one of our new favorite faces. And what's not to like about a chemistry teacher making crystal meth to pay his oncologist bills?

    2. Battlestar Galactica finale

Haters will say, "I don't like science-fiction," but they're missing the point. Battlestar is one of the best dramas--spaceships or no spaceships--to come to television in a long, long time. The series ends in March, and we're still waiting for that one last question to be answered.

    1. Lost season five

Ahem, pardon me while I ask, "WHERE and WHEN is the f%@*ing island!??!?!?!?"

    http://www.tv.com/story/12035.html?ref_sto...;ref_name=story

So, that's TV.com's lot, but what TV shows are you looking forward to?

I'm quite psyched for Lost. When Heroes returns I'll be happy too. Erm...are there other TV shows?

  10. I got the game from J.

I must admit my heart has never been in quite a frenzy when I've been playing a game. Yeah there are some parts that were frustrating (working my way down and around the storm drain in level 3 for example) but nothing beats running for your life when chased by a bunch of cops you've got NO CHANCE of taking on. Bullets flying around you and risking crazy jumps to reach safety. Amazing.

Level 4 though so I guess I'm about half way through :P

Cool, I was just wondering whether it would be there today. ^_^

  11. I'm getting quite excited about The Sims 3, despite uninstalling all of my previous Sims 2 games and data. I just wish they had released the specs already, otherwise I might have to reinstall everything and get sucked in to it again.

  12. Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, God of War...

    I think it's sillyness. It's a power button logo.

Oh yeah, I forgot God Of War. Uncharted and LBP don't have sequels released yet, so don't register for me as a franchise yet. Last I remember the Heavenly Sword 2 thing seemed to be going down the pan.

  13. nextmetalg287633l.jpg

Konami has teased the next Metal Gear game with a mysterious image over on its Japanese website.

There's not a lot to go on. Just an equation that reads "¡ + ! = (power button symbol)", followed by the phrase "A NEXT METAL GEAR IS..."

It's about as enigmatic as a teaser image can get, but the colouring of the equation looks reminiscent of Xbox 360 branding - particularly with the power symbol. Unless the colouring around your 360 power button is red, that is...

Of course, the power logo itself is used on a wide range of consumer electronics including, of course, the PlayStation 3.

Rumours have abounded that Konami is looking to stick MGS4 on the 360, but it seems unlikely that the publisher would call it the "next" game. That said, the use of the word "A" suggests there could be more than one new game in the pipeline. Or it could be bad use of English, given that this is Konami's Japanese site - a possibility that throws all kinds of confusion into the mix.

In case it helps in your rampant speculation, SPOnG pulled the Konami's Flash file location out of the web page's code. It ends: /mgst/images/mark.swf

We get an added 's' - probably for 'Solid'. We also get a 't' - more than likely for 'teaser' and the word 'mark' - probably because of the exclamation marks.

There was a spot of Apple branding in MGS4, with Snake using an iPod. Maybe an iPhone entry to the series could be on the way with a version of Metal Gear AC¡D?

Whatever it is, we have to admit that a bit of pre-Xmas teasing certainly gets the juices flowing.

The teaser thing is here - http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/mgst/?ref=kjp_jp

As me and Benji were discussing, if it does head to 360, what franchises does that leave Sony with that are just their own?

  14. Where the crap do some of these fan theories even come from?

Simone will return, alive, with the power of cloning, revealing that the Simone that died in Unexpected was actually one of her clones because she was warned of her upcoming death —possibly by Angela who saw it in a dream — and was captured by the government and used for testing, trying to use her blood to make soldiers clone themselves to make a massive army.

Anyways, next episode, Our Father, seems like it wiil be the end of

Arthur, as the episode afterwards refers to "the aftermath of the showdown" with him, and the blurb makes no mention of his actions, suggesting he simply appears as a corpse, or in a dream.

Also some characters return for 3x14 "Duel" which was originally called "War" and then "Duality", now they have settled on "Duel". Anyways

Usutu and Eric Doyle are guest stars for the episode. There's also the kid that played Kyle in 4400 as a new character. IMDB also thinks Monica and Echo will appear too.
