Even if they have, they shouldn't. When New Zealand is the hardest game you have to play, you don't deserve getting into the World Cup straight away. Playing a South American or Asian team is the right thing to do.

Sepp Blatter has been talking about giving Oceania an automatic place for years. Whether it's happened or not, I don't know.

Oceania is a bunch of tiny countries with little talent to get anywhere special. They shouldn't be given special exemption, because they'll just get wiped out quick from the tournament anyway.

And another question. Germany has the 06 World Cup. I remember reading in the paper some African country got it in 2010 - not sure if it's South Africa. Anyone?

It had to be an african country cause in 2006 South Africa was supposed to get the World Cup. Losing the organization to germany was a big surprise and was also seen as a bit of racism from the organizers....therefore It was established the next world cup (2010) would be organized by an african country... Nigeria, Cameroon, Morocco and South Africa were the Countries that applied, IIRC.
