Iceman & Michael Robinson vs. Tony Zaretti & Paul Johnson

- Iceman is the only foreigner and should stay strong while facing the lower card guys. I see him getting the pin over Zaretti.

NFA Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Final: Keiji Sasaki vs. Thomas Moore

- Moore will get the upset victory and prove himself as a pure wrestler.

NFA Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Final: Tito Gonzalez vs. Keiji Sakoda

- Even though Sakoda is super over compared to everyone else I see Gonzalez picking up the win for a MMA vs. Pure Wrestler final.

Different Style Fight: Alvin Jones vs. Dwight Douglas

- Jones owns...that is all.

Bas Rutten & Chuck Howard vs. Rico Constantino & Josh Harrington

- Harrington has suffered a couple of defeats recently and this match will be the "turning point" of the wrestlers fighting back against the MMA guys. It will not be the end by a long shot.

NFA Heavyweight Title Tournament Final: Tito Gonzalez vs. Thomas Moore

- Gonzalez beats Moore so that the MMA squad holds NEO-GEN at the palm of their hands.

Finish: KO

"Dueling Destinies"

Attendance: 36

Overall Card Grade: F (56%)

Four Men, Three Matches, One Destiny. This was arguably the biggest show that NEO-GEN has put on to date. In its short five month history, NEO-GEN has gave us some of the most intense action found on the west coast. This show continued the trend of fun shows.

The show began with Josh Harrington coming out and welcoming the crowd. After speaking for a few moments, Bas Rutten came out flanked by Howard, Robinson, Jones, Iceman and Gonzalez. Rutten made one last offer to join the NEo-GEN Fighting Elite. Then Harrington interrupted and took out a pair of Open Finger Gloves. He said: "I would never align with someone who could never respect another's abilities", before throwing the gloves at the Rutten and saying: "I AM NOT ONLY A MIXED MARTIAL ARTIST, BUT I AM ALSO A PRO-WRESTLER AND TONIGHT I WILL SHOW YOU THE SPIRIT OF ONE" Harrington threw the mic down and Rutten ordered his troops away to prepare for thier matches.

Promo Grade: F (59%)

Michael Robinson & Iceman vs. Tony Zaretti & Paul Johnson - Time Limit: 15 Minutes

- The first match of the night was a tag match between four men that could be considered: "Young Lions." The four men showed an incredible amount of fire and passion in the ring. The focus of Iceman and Robinson was simple: Isolate Johnson. The plan was going successfully, but following a miscommunication between the partners that brought Zaretti in the ring, The strategy changed to hitting and running and wear down the bigger opponent with sharp kicks to the knees and submissions. Then in a moments flash, Iceman found a way to trap Zaretti in a Cross Kneelock and Zarretti had no force but to tap out. Iceman grabbed the mic following the match and challenge any one in NEO-GEN to a fight in any code and said he was there to dominate NEO-GEN.

Winners: Iceman & Michael Robinson at 4:49 via submission ()

Workrate: C- (71%) Heat: F (25%) Overall: F (48%)

The four semi-finalist in the NFA Heavyweight Tournament all entered the ring and listened to the title proclamation and to take promotion photos. Gonzalez grabbed the microphone and started to talk about how he will win the NFA Heavyweight title in a spectacular fashion by knocking out both of his opponents. This provoked the Pro-Wrestlers to come out and confront Gonzalez. Rico grabbed the microphone and told Gonzalez to watch out, since it is not only one man who is gunning for him, but an entire stable of Pro-Wrestling assassins and to watch his mouth and his back.

Promo Grade: C (75%)

NFA Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final: Keiji Sakoda vs. Tito Gonzalez - Time Limit: 30 Minutes

- Gonzalez remained in the ring, as did Sakoda. The bell rang and the two men wasted no time exchanging strikes. It was Gonzalez's punches vs. Sakoda's elbows. Gonzalez got the upper hand early in the fight, quickly taking down Sakoda and getting in a dominant position. Despite being in the top-guard, Gonzalez could not find a way to lock in a submission or even do a substantial amount of damage to Sakoda. The referee informed both men to stand up in order to envoke action and he got it. Once again, the two men charged with Sakoda getting the upper hand with his elbow attacks. One elbow attack managed to cut Gonzalez's right eye and Sakoda attacked with a furious vengence as if he was going in for the kill. Sakoda shot for a takedown and managed to takedown Gonzalez and then he attacked. Elbow after Elbow after Elbow, the attack to Gonzalez's eye continued. The referee stepped in and broke up the two men and told the ring doctor to check the condition of Gonzalez's eye. The doctor told the referee to stop the fight. The referee obliged, and Gonzalez was not happy. Gonzalez stormed out of the ring with his seconds, as Sakoda celebrated his victory. Following the match, Gonzalez said that he would get his rematch and completely destroy Sakoda.

Winner: Keiji Sakoda at 15:21 via TKO (Doctor Stop)

Workrate: C (76%) Heat: F (34%) Overall: F (55%)

NFA Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final: Keiji Sasaki vs. Thomas Moore - Time Limit: 30 Minutes

- The rematch between Sasaki and Moore was just as exciting as the first. Moore quickly went for the quick pinfally, trapping Sasaki in precarious pinning predicaments. Sasaki managed to survive the initial attack and the two fought an excellent match that could have gone either way. The match proved that Sasaki was mortal in one of his matches as Moore troubled him with his lighting quick takedowns and excellent ground technique. In the end, Sasaki would gain control and beat Moore at his own game, by eventually taking down Moore and trapping his arm in a Kimura Lock forcing a tap out. Following the match, the two men shook hands as a good show of sportsmanship.

Winner: Keiji Sasaki at 7:12 via submission (Kimura Lock)

Workrate: C+ (79%) Heat: F (30%) Overall: F (54%)

There was an intermission to change the ropes for the next match. The rules of the match were given. It was going to be a three round match, with each round being five minutes long and there would be no pinfalls, rope breaks and any other pro-wrestling rules in this match. This was interesting, was it going to be a work or a shoot?

Different Style Fight: Alvin Jones vs. Dwight Douglas - Three Five Minute Rounds

- Jones came out with his seconds. It feels like a big match, Jones looks as intense as ever and he looks to completely focused. Douglas came out with his cornermen, and looked intense as well. Both men wore open finger gloves, which also gave another impression that the match was not a work, but a shoot. The bell rang and Douglas charged quickly and started unleashing a flurry of punches and Jones covered up before coming back with his own punches. Douglas looked lost in the ring and was soon taken down by Jones. Douglas intelligently trapped Jones in a guard. Now Jones had the difficult task of having to pass the larger man's guard. Eventually, Jones passed the guard and move into a full side mount and started going for an armbar, but was unsuccessful. The referee eventually pulled both men back to stand up after a long stalled moment. With a little under 20 seconds left in the round, Douglas went for a right hook, but Jones ducked and trapped Douglas in a Shoulder hold and took him down with it. Douglas fought hard, but had no choice but to tap out. Douglas did well in the match, but in the end was taken down by the more experienced man. Was this a work or a shoot? It didn't scream work, I guess we'll never know.

Winner: Alvin Jones in R1 4:53 via submission (Shoulder Hold)

Workrate: C (72%) Heat: F (30%) Overall: F (51%)

Another intermission to change the ropes back. This is interesting process, if this is a work then they're doing an excellent job at making it seem real.

Bas Rutten & Chuck Howard vs. Josh Harrington & Rico Constantino - Time Limit: 30 Minutes

- Two of the trainers at the NEO-GEN Dojo were finally going head to head, albeit in a tag match. Bas Rutten and Rico teased the fans of a fight through the first four months and finally it was going to happen. Harrington did not wear open finger gloves to the ring, accepting the Pro-Wrestler's ideology. The match started off with Howard and Harrington. The two men did not waste any time, and Harrington attacked Howard with open palm strikes. After taunting Howard a little bit, the tag was made to Rico and Howard did the same to Bas. The trainers went head to head and exchanged kicks, with Rico getting the better of Bas with a spinning heel kick. Rutten ran back and tagged Howard. Rico showed the youngster why he was a trainer, withstanding Howard's lighting quick takedowns and avoiding being taken down. The match would go back and forth. Then 15 minutes into the match, Harrington and Rutten met for the first time in the ring and Rutten took the youngster to school and following a huge left hook that sent Harrington to the mat, Rutten pounched and started dropping bombs on Harrington, and the referee had no choice but to step in and stop the match. Harrington needed to be helped to the back, but got a standing ovation for the effort he put into the match.

Winner: Bas Rutten & Chuck Howard at 16:10 via TKO (Referee Stop)

Workrate: D+ (69%) Heat: F (48%) Overall: F (58%)

NFA Heavyweight Tournament Final: Keiji Sasaki vs. Keiji Sakoda - Time Limit: 30 Minutes

- It was now time for the main event. Battle Keiji as the fans around me were starting to call it. It was now time to crown a NFA Heavyweight champion. Sakoda came out first, with Rico and Douglas in his corner. Sasaki came out second with no cornermen, and seemed to be focus to win the title. In a shocking move, Sasaki removed his Judo GI and removed his open-finger gloves and said he would fight in a pro-wrestler's manner. The two men started jocking for position, with Sakoda's experience getting the better of Sasaki. Sasaki seemed like a different man without the GI and was more content with striking than going for judo-style moves. Sakoda would prove to be a difficult opponent for Sasaki, as Sakoda knew a counter to most of Sasaki's trademark throws and takedowns. Sakoda dominated Sasaki, like no one else had been before. Sakoda would connect with a Rolling Elbow that sent Sasaki crashing to the mat. Sakoda pins and the crowd counted along: 1....2....KICKOUT! Sasaki managed to get his right shoulder barely off the mat. Sakoda climbed the top rope and went for a Spilt Legged Moonsault and MISSED! Sasaki saw this as his only moment to strike and quickly pick himself up and lock on a Rear Naked Choke on Sakoda. Sakoda fought and fought and fought towards the ropes, but had no choice but to tap out. Keiji Sasaki had WON THE NFA Heavyweight title. Sasaki ran to each corner estatic that he had won the title. The crowd cheered him heavily. Sakoda was helped up by Rico and the young lions and Sakoda stood up to Sasaki and shook his hand in a show of sportsmanship.

Winner: Keiji Sasaki at 11:11 via submission (Rear Naked Choke) to become the first champion.

Workrate: C (73%) Heat: F (36%) Overall: F (54%)

Following the match, Sasaki was read the tournament proclaimation and rewarded a trophy, a big check for $50,000 and the NFA Heavyweight title. Following posing for pictures, Sasaki told the fans that he would be a fighting champion and bring value to the title.

The show was incredible. It felt different from the previous events, as this one had more emotion than others. NEO-GEN is really becoming of the better feds on the West Coast. I look forward to the next NEo-GEN show and the reign of KEIJI SASAKI.

WOW~!

That was a great show. I really enjoyed the little touches, like the rope changing, the introduction of the players, and the title proclamation, and the end with the trophy. That stuff there makes this stand out to me... Also Sasaki won!!!!!

I love it :)

Dojo Try Out Results

The first open dojo admission try out was held today and following a grueling series of tests to gain acceptance into the NEO-GEN dojo, four men survived the difficult admission process and gained entry into one of the West Coast's most prestigous training centers.

The men are:

Derek Riggs, 24, Las Vegas, NV - A local boy who stands at 5'10".  Riggs has experience in amateur wrestling and some underground shoot-fighting.  He is a natural competitor that has decided on also become a Pro-Wrestler in his quest for fighting knowledge.  Riggs' talent can be seen as he is anticipating learning pro-wrestling and becoming a more sound MMA competitor.  He has the ability to become a heavyweight, but seems destined to become the junior heavyweight ace of NEO-GEN in every fighting code.

Luke Carter,  20, Phoenix, AR - Before deciding to become a pro, Luke Carter was an amateur wrestler in High School. He has shunned all of American wrestling in favor of High Spurt action such as Toryumon/Dragon Gate, and highly technical masterpieces that wrestlers like Osamu Nishimura use in the ring and desires to one day work the style he so loves.  He has devoted himself to learning pro-wrestling and does not plan on advancing into MMA, but that can always change.  He is the smallest of this Dojo Class, and seems destined for the junior heavyweight division.

Mat Valentine, 20, Seattle, WA -  A professional wrestling devotee, Valentine spent a year training at the ICW Torture Chamber before coming to the NEO-GEN dojo. His love of pounding sparring partners with stiff kicks and forearms is exceeded only by his fondness of devising submission holds to test out on any willing subject. His brash, cocky attitude makes for good mic appeals, but also means that he's easily distracted in matches.

JT Nelson, 19, Chicago, IL - JT is the youngest of 3 children and the youngest Dojo Boy. JT played many sports in his early years but slowed down right before going into high school. JT has been a wrestling fan since the age of 12 and started taking Judo lessons at 19. JT is a fighter who goes 110% into any challenges that come across him in the world of fighting. He is destined to become a heavyweight due to his size and looks to be one of the solid foundations of NEO-GEN.

The next open try out is in 6 months, when more people will be accepted.

Fallout from Dueling Destinies

- Following Dueling Destinies, Bas Rutten announced that NEO-GEN plans on running a half-MMA and half-pro wrestling show.  He said that the concept was that of NJPW's Ultimate Crush, but plans on using small name fighters and NEO-GEN fighters.  He has put out an open invitation to any fighter that would like to participate.  He also talked about Josh Harrington and said he had much to learn before the two could meet in a one on one bout.  As for Rico, Bas said that he was nothing but an old pro-wrestler and will no even bother with him.

- New NFA Heavyweight Champion Keiji Sasaki said that he would defend the title in any promotion around the world.  His plan is to become the true World Champion and has said that his goal is a match against some of the young aces in Japan such as Nakamura, and Tanahashi in Pro-Wrestling and also has interest in fighting Naoya Ogawa and Hidehiko Yoshida in a MMA fight.

- Following his match with Keiji Sakoda, Tito Gonzalez demanded a rematch under Different Style fight rules.  He said that Sakoda's elbows would be banned in the match and that Sakoda has no shot in the ring against him if the rules were to his favor.  Gonzalez was also furious that the doctor said to stop the fight, as he could clearly continue the fight.  He also put out another challenge to Josh Harrington, and mocked Harrington for being KO'd by Rutten.

- Alvin Jones said he has three goals in the next couple of months:  1) To become the #1 fighter in NEO-GEN 2) To Defeat Josh Harrington One on One and 3) Advance on UFC.

- Iceman said he is wanting to fight Josh Harrington in a singles match and hopes he can get it.  He said that he shouldn't be stuck in opening matches, and should be fighting with the heavyweights and big names of NEO-GEN.

- Harrington was gracious in defeat and promised the fans to improve himself and eventually rid NEO-GEN of Bas Rutten and his MMA influence.

Michael Robinson vs. Paul Johnson

Michael doesn't tend to win. I dunno why, but he doesn't.

Iceman vs. Tony Zaretti

Iceman's push continues with good reason.

Thomas Moore vs. Alvin Jones

Alvin's tending to fail a lot in non-MMA matches. It's disappointing.

Josh Harrington vs. Dwight Douglas

Josh is Josh. Dwight's not on his level.

Keiji Sakoda & Keji Sasaki vs. Tito Gonzalez & Chuck Howard

Sakoda takes the pin, of course. Tito and Chuck should both be set up as challengers to Sasaki's belt, so I think they'll get an (indirect) tag victory over him.

Michael Robinson vs. Paul Johnson

I'm not sure, but I'm just saying this to be different.

Iceman vs. Tony Zaretti

Iceman seems to be being pushed as an outsider threat, but Zaretti seems to be a bit of a jobber.

Thomas Moore vs. Alvin Jones

He's just come of a win in a match which was built up quite a bit, so in what I think is the only point I've differed with GoGo, Jones wins.

Josh Harrington vs. Dwight Douglas

Harrington is "The symbol of NEO-GEN," and isn't losing here.

Keiji Sakoda & Keiji Sasaki vs. Tito Gonzalez & Chuck Howard

As much as I want to see Team 2K [or whatever they're called] win here, it makes more sence for there to be more than Josh as a contender for the belt.

"VERTIGO"

Attendance: 42

Overall Card Grade: F (53%)

NEO-GEN gave us a simple card and not major surprises took place. It is amazing the progress that NEO-GEN has made in recent times. As a packed crowd of 42 came to the show to enjoy some top-notch entertainment.

Michael Robinson vs. Paul Johnson - Time Limit: 15 Minutes

- A pair of the "young lions" of NEO-GEN went head to head in the opening contest. The gap between Johnson and Robinson has apparently closed, as Johnson proved to be stronger than the last time the two met. Johnson troubled Robinson with his quickness and high flying moves. Johnson's move set improved a little more, hitting a plancha to the outside on Robinson. Both men showed fire and unrivaled hatred for one another. With the time limit dwindling, Robinson had Johnson trapped in the rookie killing crab hold, but Johnson held on and forced the time limit draw. The two have set a solid base for future junior heavyweight matches in NEO-GEN and the time limit draw proves that these two are evenly matched.

Time Limit Draw

Workrate: C (77%) Heat: F (27%) Overall: F (52%)

Rico came out and announced that at the next show that there would be an one-night tag tournament and the winners would receive $6,500 each. He also brought in dojo boy from ringside Derek Riggs and said that at the next show, he would be making his debut. Riggs, dressed in Dojo Boy bowed to the audience, and announced his plans to further expand the influence of NEO-GEN's junior division in both wrestling and MMA.

Promo Grade:F (45%)

Tony Zaretti vs. Iceman - Time Limit: 15 minutes

- The "Junior Killer" Tony Zaretti met his match in the second match of the night in a more experienced fighter, Iceman. Zaretti and Iceman produced an awesome match due to the both of them having similar styles that blended extremely well. It was a fairly short, and Zaretti dominated Iceman with his size advantage. Zaretti almosted had Iceman following a lariat that nearly took Iceman's head off. Zaretti signalled the end, before setting up Iceman for a powerbomb, but on the way down Iceman trapped Zaretti in a triangle choke. Zaretti tried desperately to break the hold, slamming Iceman against the mat, but Iceman would not let off and would force Zaretti to tap out.

Winner: Iceman at 6:53 via submission (Triangle Choke)

Workrate: C (72%) Heat: F (30%) Overall: F (51%) Minutes

Josh came out first and went on the mic and told the fans that he is still hurting from his recent losses and that he is not ready for a title shot, but he has something more important business to get to such as winning the Tag Tournment and then taking care of his rivals Bas Rutten and Tito Gonzalez and challenged Tito to a pro-wrestling match and he would be waiting for Gonzalez's response eventually.

Promo Grade:F (59%)

Dwight Douglas vs. Josh Harrington - Time Limit: 20 Minutes

- Harrington finally got back on the winning track following two consecutive losses. Douglas was going for a flash victory and trying to take advantage of Harrington's slump and was starting to show signs of improvement and almost defeated Harrington following a chokeslam. Yet Douglas has much learning to do as Harrington clearly outmoved him here. Despite having many near falls, Harrington's ability proved to be the deciding factor as in the end, Harrington would pin Douglas with a German Suplex Hold.

Winner: Josh Harrington at 12:46 via pinfall (German Suplex Hold).

Workrate: D+ (68%) Heat: F (34%) Overall: F (51%)

Thomas Moore took the mic and hyped up his quest to become one of the best in NEO-GEN and said his match against Alvin Jones would be his first step on route to a match against Bas Rutten and ultimately becoming the NFA Heavyweight champion. Moore gave some info on his background and said that he comes from a state where many greats have come from: Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham, Stan Hansen and The Funks, and he wants to add the name Moore to that list. He also asked Josh Harrington, if he could be his partner going into the tag tournament next month and promised that together they would win the tournament.

Promo Grade:F (57%)

Thomas Moore vs. Alvin Jones - Time Limit: 20 Minutes

- Sadly, Moore's desire was not enough to defeat Jones, who has been in good form in recent times. Alvin Jones made it perfectly clear that his ambitions on challenging for the NFA Heavyweight title and made incredibly short work of Thomas Moore. Moore attempted to get offense in, but Jones was like a possessed demon and charged quickly and unleashed a punch and kick flurry that quickly knocked down Moore. Moore didn't even had the opportunity to get up and Jones unleashed more kicks to Moore's face before one soccer kick to the face KO'd Moore. Jones got on the mic and appealed heavily for a title shot.

Winner: Alvin Jones at 1:14 via KO (Soccer Kick)

Workrate: C (77%) Heat: F (30%) Overall: F (53%)

Keiji Sasaki & Keiji Sakoda vs. Chuck Howard & Tito Gonzalez - Time Limit: 30 Minutes

- Following thier match at Dueling Destinies, the two Keiji decided to unite and become a regular tag team. Thier first match was against arguably the best tag team in NEO-GEN. Gonzalez and Howard took control early, dominating Sasaki in surpring fashion following a low blow. The two used dirty tactics to maintain control, illegal double team moves. The tide of the match would turn, following a miscalculation and made the hot tag to Sakoda. Sakoda came in and brutally attacked Gonzalez in a similar fashion to which he caused the TKO last time the two met, but Gonzalez was ready this time for the attack and countered with his own flurry of strikes. Gonzales would take control of the striking battle, before hitting a familar pro-wrestling move a DDT, and then clamping on a front sleeper with body scissors. Howard restrained Sasaki and forced him to watch as Sakoda tapped out.

Winner: Chuck Howard & Tito Gonzalez at 17:41 via submission (Front Sleeper: Gonzalez over Sakoda).

Workrate: B- (80%) Heat: F (37%) Overall: F (58%)

The card was simple as stated before and mostly served as a set up to the next show. I look forward to this Riggs' debut as well as the tag tournament and "special rules" that may be implemented for it. See you around.

Quick Results

Paul Johnson drew Michael Robinson

Iceman defeated Tony Zaretti

Josh Harrington defeated Dwight Douglas

Alvin Jones defeated Thomas Moore

Chuck Howard & Tito Gonzalez defeated Keiji Sasaki & Keiji Sakoda

Enjoyable show there, defining the ranks very well amongst the guys.

I hope you do build up a strong Junior Heavyweight division, and hopefully introduce some Tag Team Titles soon enough.

Tito truley is a monster, and is performing well. Sasaki's V1 defence should be strong against Jones, who was made to look brutal with the quick KO.

Nice :)

RICO HEADS TO JAPAN

Pro Wrestling NEO-GEN wrestler Rico Constantino has gone to Japan to visit old friend Brock Lesnar. He is also going to scout talent from various promotions and see if they would like to go work in America for NEO-GEN.

Josh Harrington recently commented about his tag team partner Thomas Moore. Harrington said that: "Even though Moore still has some ground to make up, he is happy to have Moore as his partner going into the Tag Tournament.

1. Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Paul Johnson

Interesting having Taguchi here. Should be heaps of fun. There is no way he could lose though. Taguchi via Missile Dropkick. :)

2. Tony Zaretti vs. Dwight Douglas

This match really doesn't interest me. Douglas is strong, but still... i don't know.

3. High Roller Tag Cup Semi-Final: Keiji Sasaki & Keiji Sakoda vs. Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson

Interesting this. Jones should take it over Sasaki here, but be careful. A wrong finish and Sasaki could look weak. Jones needs another solid win, to make him a strong contender, and a win over Sasaki or Sakoda here is what he needs.

4. High Roller Tag Cup Semi-Final: Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore vs. Chuck Howard & Tito Gonzalez

If Jones/Robinson win, then Harrington/Moore have to go through. This should be a fluke win over Howard for Harrington.

5. Derek Riggs Debut Match: Derek Riggs vs. Iceman

KO THE ICEMAN~!

6. High Roller Tag Cup Final: Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson Vs Josh Harrington & Michael Moore

By having this final, it builds up all the other wrestlers, while Tito and Sasaki still look strong, and are the strongest in Neo-gen. This would make Jones a viable contender for the Title here.

Great looking show, and let's see how all the wrestlers interact with one another...

No way Taguchi isn't taking this.

Tony Zaretti vs. Dwight Douglas

Zaretti will be never-say-die, but it matters not.

High Roller Tag Cup Semi-Final: Keiji Sasaki & Keiji Sakoda vs. Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson

Robinson takes the fall and gets a shitkicking from ALVIN~!

High Roller Tag Cup Semi-Final: Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore vs. Chuck Howard & Tito Gonzalez

Another win for the regular team.

Derek Riggs Debut Match: Derek Riggs vs. Iceman

Goodnight c-heat.

High Roller Tag Cup Final: Keiji & Keiji vs. We're Totally Ortiz and Liddel! Totally!

Call it a hunch. I dunno.

Sorry I don't have any interesting insight in the way of feedback, but hey, good stuff. ^_^

Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Paul Johnson

No point bringing in Taguchi just to job, and I think Johnson has the lowest rank out of all of NEO-GEN

Tony Zaretti vs. Dwight Douglas

After losing to Alvin, Douglas needs to rebound.

High Roller Tag Cup Semi-Final: Keiji Sasaki & Keiji Sakoda vs. Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson

I can see a Misawa vs. Kawada style rivalry between Jones and Harrington, with Harrington as the golden boy Misawa, with Kawada/Jones constantly trying to beat him. Maybe it's just the kicks...

High Roller Tag Cup Semi-Final: Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore vs. Chuck Howard & Tito Gonzalez

It's Josh's night I think, for the reasons I outlined above.

Derek Riggs Debut Match: Derek Riggs vs. Iceman

A strong debut showing, for Riggs, but Triangle Choke at 6 minutes will be all.

High Roller Tag Cup Final: Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson vs. Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore

I said a Misawa/Kawada rivalry, which entails the guy in Misawa's position to be a bigger star. It starts here, Harrington beats Robinson, and Alvin gets a bit riled that Josh couldn't beat him personally.

"Enter the Moving City"

Attendance: 43

Overall Card Grade: F (53%)

Pro Wrestling NEO-GEN presented a solid card that saw a Dojo Rookie debut, a up and comer from Japan make his NEO-GEN Debut and an impressive tag team tournament.

Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Paul Johnson - Time Limit: 15 Minutes

- The opening match featured NJPW Young Lion Ryusuke Taguchi make his NEO-GEN debut against fellow Young Lion Paul Johnson. The experience level was clearly seen as Taguchi dominated Johnson from bell to bell, with Johnson refusing to quit. Taguchi impressed me in this match and has one of best looking drop kicks around. Johnson seems to be struggling for results with yet another opening match loss. Taguchi finished off Johnson with a Cross Arm Suplex Hold for the three count.

Winner: Ryusuke Taguchi at 5:11 via Cross Arm Suplex Hold

Workrate: B- (81%) Heat: F (10%) Overall: F (45%)

Rico came out following the opening match and said that his trip to Japan was more than successful. He had discovered a fed that impressed him greatly and has invited one of the owners to view a NEO-GEN show.

Promo Grade: D (66%)

Tony Zaretti vs. Dwight Douglas - Time Limit: 15 Minutes

- The second of the "young lion" matches featured Tony Zaretti and Dwight Douglas. Douglas has taken a deep from near the top of the card down to Young Lion level. On the other hand, Zaretti has been having a successful run on the opening match level. Douglas' slump seems to continue as he would be defeated by the smaller heavyweight Zaretti and fell to the rookie killing crab hold. Zaretti appealed for an opportunity to take on Josh Harrington following his win claiming that he can give him a good fight. Douglas walked to the back with his head down in shame.

Winner: Tony Zaretti at 7:20 via Crab Hold

Workrate: B- (81%) Heat: F (10%) Overall: F (45%)

High Rollers Tag Tournament Semi-Final: Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson vs. Keiji Sasaki & Keiji Sakoda - Time Limit: 60 Minutes

- The first match in High Rollers tag tournament featured a rejuvenated Alvin Jones and junior heavyweight Michael Robinson took on Team KEIJI. Jones and Sasaki started off the match and Jones attacked Sasaki as soon as the bell rang unleashing a furious rounds of punches. Sasaki fought back with strikes of his own, and eventually get the better of Jones who tagged out to Robinson. Robinson was outmatched by Team Keiji due to his lack of size. Despite the size difference, Robinson would fight hard, troubling Sakoda with his various submission techniques. The match ended when Jones isolated Sakoda and connected with a devestating right hook that sent Sakoda down to the mat and the referee counted the 10 and declared victory to Jones and Robinson. Jones taunted Sasaki after the match continuing his appeal for a title shot.

Winner: Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson at 10:45 via KO (Jones beat Sakoda)

High Rollers Tag Tournament Semi-Final: Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore vs. Tito Gonzalez & Chuck Howard- Time Limit: 60

Minutes

- The second semi-final was between Harrington and Moore against Gonzalez and Howard. This was mostly a continuation of the Gonzalez - Harrington feud and the two became the focus of the match. Moore was isolated by Howard and Gonzalez and was attacked with punch rushes and various double team moves. Eventually, Moore would get the hot tag to the Harrington and turn the match around. Despite the rush, Gonzalez stopped it with a vital part attack and almost had the match won, before Moore broke up the pinfall. Yet in the end, the pro-wrestlers would prevail over the mixed martial artist as Harrington stunned Howard with a right high kick and followed it up with a German Suplex Hold, while Moore restrained Gonzalez to move on to the finals.

Winner: Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore at 14:33 when Harrington used a German Suplex Hold on Howard

Derek Riggs Debut Match: Derek Riggs vs. Iceman - Time Limit: 30 minutes

- When NEO-GEN opened its door and presented its first card, the second Dojo class entered without any major fanfare. The first of the second class of Dojo Entrants Derek Riggs made his debut against the powerful and undefeated Iceman. Riggs showed impressive technique and resembled someone with shoot fighting background. Iceman was troubled for a short while with the aggressive nature of Riggs, but experience would prove to be the difference maker and managed to trap Riggs in a front sleeper. Riggs showed unbelieveable strength managing to pick up Iceman, but in the end found himself tapping out to the Iceman.

Winner: Iceman at 9:51 via Front Sleeper

Workrate: C (74%) Heat: F (25%) Overall: F (49%)

High Rollers Tag Team Tournament Finals: Alvin Jones & Michael Robinson vs. Josh Harrington & Thomas Moore- Time Limit: No Time Limit

- The finals of High Rollers featured two men who wanted a shot at the NFA Heavyweight title and a win here would put one man in prime position for the title shot. Jones continued his mean-streak once again attack Thomas Moore aggressively. Moore was busted open due to the attack from Jones. Robinson faired a lot better in this match attacking Moore's knees with a myriad of low kicks and the attack on the knees started ot take its toll on Moore and soon the Texas was limping around the ring. Once Harrington got into the the momentum changed and the pace quickened. Jones and Harrington would trade kicks back and forth with neither man getting a real advantage. Harrington managed to spike Jones with an exploder suplex before tagging in Moore. Robinson ran into the ring and distracted Harrington, which left Moore alone against Jones. Moore would pick up Jones and try for a German Suplex, but Jones rolled through and locked Moore into a kneebar. The pain was too much for Moore and he had no choice but to tap out. Following the match, Jones and Robinson were awarded their trophies and checks for $10,000 and after the media photos, Jones made another appeal for the title shot.

Winner: Jones and Robinson at 12:44 when Jones used a kneebar on Moore.

Workrate: C (74%) Heat: F (25%) Overall: F (49%)

- Solid card that advanced feuds. Jones is looking like a monster and making heavy strides to a potential title shot. Riggs did a lot to impress the NEO-GEN crowd giving the much hated Iceman a challenge. Taguchi is a great young prospect and I look forward to more of this kid.
