Ra's album is called "From One", I used to own it, but borrowed the CD to a friend and he lost it. I really wanna listen to it too.

I agree wholeheartedly on what they've both recommended to you. Also check out:

Dry Kill Logic

Memento

Strata

Unloco

Taproot

Planet of 9 (A kickass local band)

All bands that I enjoy quite much. If you want to get into really unknown bands, check out www.garageband.com and it'll help you.

I third the recommendation to check out Ra's - "From One" album. Very, very good stuff.

As for other bands to check out....most of the obvious ones have been named. There is an awful lot of nu-metal in your band list, so check out some of the bands like 36 Crazyfists (very good) and Killswitch Engage (preferably the earlier stuff). Also, if you'd like to get into (IMO) better music, check out Tool and Pearl Jam (both recommended by others in this topic).

Thanks for all the help guys, got a huge list to check out now although I have already checked out Nonpoint, 36 Crazyfists and a few others - good stuff so far. So thanks again

And I'd better check out Ra especially if they are that good.

To be honest, I'm annoyed waiting for the follow up from Ra. They've been recording stuff for ages, but still haven't released thier second album...buggers *shakes fist*

I need to get my hands on their first album again, ugh. I love it.

Check E-bay or Amazon...should be able to pick it up cheap these days (well, relatively).

I was just blown away by how different it was...it was Nu-Metal if you want to categorise (which I usually don't like), but with a fresh and different approach.
