Mikey Whipwreck and Tajiri vs. Chavo and Rene

Another pretty easy bout for the tag champs this week. Chavo gives Tajiri come stiff competition on the outside of the ring, leaving Rene and Mikey Whipwreck in the ring alone. Tajiri is able to get back up to the apron and superkicks Dupree, as Whipwreck grabs him from behind with a rollup and gets an easy pin. Just as Whipwreck and Tajiri were celebrating their win, The Dudley Boyz made their way out as part of that blockbuster trade involving Chris Masters and Sean Morley over to smackdown. They ran down to the ring and attacked Whipwreck and Tajiri, slamming both of them onto seperate tables with two 3Ds and leaving through the crowd.

Eugene Dinsmore vs. Kenzo Suzuki and Snitsky

Eugene got a huge standing ovation as this match started up, but wasn't able to carry his momentum onto the match. Kenzo Suzuki dominated him early on, almost getting three counts on various occasions with variations of superkicks and spinning heel kicks that knocked Eugene out cold. Snitsky also worked on Eugene's head, nailing him with a big boot and almost getting a three count on that. Eugene gaines some momentum late in the bout, but was nailed by Kenzo with a faceclaw STO, setting up the end of the match. All of a sudden, the crowd goes wild as "IF YOU SMELL.. WHAT THE ROCK.. IS COOKIN'" is heard throughout the arena. Rock makes his way down to the ring and slides into it. Snitsky goes for a big boot, but misses him and nails the referee to the ground. Rock gives Snitsky a rock bottom as he turns around, then throws Kenzo off the apron, throwing Eugene on top of Snitsky for the referee to make the three count! SINGLES MATCH

Edge vs. The Big Show

This match is somewhat of a preview from the fatal four way match for the number one contendership at unforgiven. Edge tried to gain an advantage on Big Show, working on his legs and trying desperately to get the big man down, but his size was overwhelming. Show continue to dominate the bout, nailing Edge down to the mat with a big boot, and setting him up for a chokeslam. He gets him up in the air with one hand, but Edge lands on his feet behind Show, and dropkicks him to the turnbuckle, then trying to dropkick him to the ground but being unable to get the big man off his feet. He runs towards Show again, but gets caught with Show's massive hand on his neck again. Show gets Edge up for the chokeslam and knocks him right down on the mat! He goes over to cover him 1...2...Edge puts his foot on the bottom rope at the last second. Show takes off the straps on his shirt and turns back around, but Edge is already walking his way up the entrance ramp, getting counted out and laughing all the way to the backstage area. Kane vs. Chris Jericho

After the commercial break, the other two competitors in the fatal four way match made their way down to the ring for their match. Just like the Big Show/Edge bout, Kane held the advantage early on, almost getting a three count on two occasions with a sidewalk slam and with a vicious big boot right to the chin of Y2J. About three quarters through the bout, Jericho is able to turn the momentum around completely as he nails Kane with an undetected low blow and nails a lionsault for the 1...2...shoulder up! Jericho can't believe it. He makes his way up to the top rope and waits for Kane to get back up, jumping off but getting caught in mid air by Kane's hand wrapped right around his neck! Kane gets Jericho up to his feet for a chokeslam, but Y2J lands on his feet behind the big red machine, pushing him into the turnbuckle and getting him down for a school boy 1...2...kick out! Jericho gets pushed so hard by Kane's leg strength that he nails Earl Hebner and forces him down on the mat. Kane gets back up behind Jericho and grabs him by the neck with his hand again for a chokeslam. Y2J then looks around and gives Kane yet another low blow, putting the big man in a bad position. He runs towards him from behind and nails him to the ground with a facebuster, then running to the ropes and hitting the lionsault again. He hooks the leg and waits for Hebner to come over for the count 1.....2.....3! Jericho cheats his way to victory and quickly runs away from the big red machine.

He tells him to look over to the entrance ramp and The Rock's music hits on the PA, making Eugene go crazy for The Rock! Carlito then gets back on the mic and screams "SURPRISE!" nailing Eugene over the back of the head with his intercontinental championship belt as the music stops. HANDICAP MATCH

Kurt Angle vs. World's Greatest Tag Team

Angle wasted no time as the match began. He attacked Charlie Haas first, throwing him to the outside and going to work on Shelton Benjamin. He held the advantage early on in the bout, working on both members of the world's greatest tag team and proving that he actually is the superior wrestler. Mid-way towards the match, Haas and Benjamin used their old double team manovers to take control of the bout. Haas held Angle by his legs against the ropes, and Shelton leaped over him to nail Angle right on his back and almost get a three count. The climax of the match comes about as Charlie Haas is able to make a tag in to Shelton Benjamin. Angle knocks him down with a clotheline, then runs over to Haas and gives him a forearm smash, throwing him to the outside of the ring. Shelton then waits for Angle to turn around and nails him with a superkick right on the chin, hooking the far leg 1...2...shoulder up! Shelton tries to grab Kurt by his ankle to apply his own ankle lock, but Kurt rolls over and sends Shelton flying into the turnbuckle just with his leg strength. He then grabs him from behind and nails him down to the mat with an Angle Slam, taking off his shoulder straps and screaming "WOOO!" He walks over to Benjamin's ankle and begins twisting and turning, until Charlie Haas is able to springboard himself from the top rope onto Angle with a missile dropkick! The match continues on for another three or four minutes, until Shelton and Haas get Angle down with some sort of double german suplex and both take off their shoulder straps, grabbing each of Kurt's ankles and twisting them as hard as possible, forcing him to tap out with both hands. Benjamin and Haas walk up the ramp with two big smiles on their faces, while Angle looks on with an expression of anger as raw goes off the air.

SMACKDOWN PREVIEW - September 08, 2005

- Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon has a shocking announcement to make this thursday night on smackdown.  What will the boss have to say this week?

- Last week, Theodore Long announced that MNM would have to defend their tag team title belts against Danny Doring and Roadkill this week in a match with Melina banned from ringside.  Will MNM be able to retain their belts without their sexy valet at ringside?

- Also, Kanyon made his return to velocity defeating Stevie Richards this past saturday night.  This thursday on smackdown, he takes on Rey Mysterio in one on one action to try and make an impression on Theodore Long and on Vince Mcmahon, who will be in attendance.  Who betta' than Kanyon?

- Eddie Guerrero and Christian seem to be obsessed with making Chris Benoit's life a living hell.  After getting screwed out of his match with Eddie at summerslam, Benoit looked for revenge last week teaming with Booker T to take on the two, but came up on the losing end of that battle as well.  What will Chris Benoit do to get his revenge this week?

- Also, John Bradshaw Layfield's challenge to The Undertaker was issued and accepted last week.  This week, in the main event, The Undertaker goes one on one with the United States Champion, Orlando Jordan, and JBL will surely be lurking around the ring for this one.  Can the deadman overcome the odds once again? Or will The Cabinet make it 1-0 with the phenom?

Confirmed Matches:

MNM vs. Danny Doring and Roadkill

Kanyon vs. Rey Mysterio

The Undertaker vs. Orlando Jordan

Kanyon vs. Rey Mysterio

The fans were incredibly happy to see Kanyon back on smackdown, and they showed it by giving him a huge reaction as he made his way out to the ring to face Mysterio. Unfortunately for Kanyon, Rey Rey didn't have anything other than winning on his mind on this night. He runs right towards the ring and springboards himself on top of Kanyon with a cross body to start the show, getting a quick two count. Rey continues to hold the advantage for most of the bout, until Kanyon is able to reverse a west coast pop attempt into a powerbomb which almost gets him a win. Kanyon then decides that he's gonna end this match. He grabs Mysterio up and goes for the Flatliner, but Mysterio kicks him in the gut and dropkicks him, making him nail the referee right on the head. Mysterio quickly turns towards the entrance ramp, thinking that Hassan is ready for a sneak attack, but just as he does that, Muhammad Hassan appears from behind with a steel chair wrapped around his fist. He punches Mysterio right on the back of the head and locks in the Camel Clutch, leaving the ring in a hurry when the referee regains his senses. Kanyon quickly runs on top of Mysterio and hooks both legs as Dave Hebner counts 1...2...3! Kanyon celebrates, while Hassan walks back up the ramp with a cocky smile on his face.

Christian and Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit and Paul London

The match started out with Benoit and London incredibly pumped up and beating the hell out of Christian and Eddie, but quickly became a beat down on the cruiserweight champion as he was cornered by Christian and Eddie and was unable to tag in Chris Benoit. Benoit ran in to break a few close two counts a couple of times, and the fans could see that London could no longer participate in this match, he was exhausted. He digs down deep though, and dropkicks Eddie Guerrero into his corner. Eddie runs towards London, but the cruiserweight champion ducks a clotheline and superkicks Eddie right on the back of the head, sending him flying into the corner with Benoit on it. The Rabid Wolvering punches him on the head on the outside, and London grabs him up for a school boy 1...2...kick out! London is then able to tag in Benoit, and havoc begins. He runs into the ring and nails both Eddie and Christian with running clothelines one at a time, sending Eddie to the outside and focusing on the man who has screwed his life up since summerslam. He begins nailing him with some backhand chops, then putting him down on the mat with a trifecta of german suplexes and climbing up to the top turnbuckle. He then jumps right off and tries to nail Christian with a swandive headbutt, but Eddie Guerrero quickly runs onto the apron and dropkicks Benoit to the outside, making his head hit the fan railing. London is back in the ring, leaning against the ropes to check on his partner. Christian astutely takes advantage of that and grabs London from behind, holding his tights for a pin 1...2...3! Christian and Eddie walk back up the ramp quickly.

" THE SIGNING "

SEGMENT 1 - THE SIGNING

The show begins with Vince Mcmahon, Eric Bischoff, Theodore Long and a huge desk in the middle of the ring. Vince put sa microphone up to his mouth and stares down Theodore Long.

Vince Mcmahon: LONG.. The only reason why YOU'RE here tonight, is because I have a message loud and clear for you. You see, not only are the smackdown ratings the worst possible ratings I could see on upn network, but you've let Batista and Randy Orton take over your show without doing ANYTHING about it. So I have taken action and I have decided that I'd do what was best for the company and what was best for smackdown, and with that said, Theodore.. YOU'RE... FIRED! NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF MY RING BEFORE I CALL SECURITY!

Long hesitates, but walks out of the ring shaking his head in dissapointment. All of a sudden, a very familiar theme song plays on the PA and the fans go wild as Paul Heyman makes his way out of the raw entrance ramp! He stares down Theodore Long on his way down, smiling, and enters the ring. He then grabs the microphone from Vince Mcmahon and speaks.

Paul Heyman: Now as much as it hurts me to say that Theodore Long has been fired, it makes me even more happy to say that I have FINALLY RETURNED TO SMACKDOWN!

The crowd erupts for Heyman's return.

Vince Mcmahon: Yes indeed you have, Paul, but there will be plenty of time for celebration on smackdown. What we need to do RIGHT NOW is bring out one of the most controversial superstars in the history of this busines.. OH YEAH.. ARE YOU READY FOR THIS!? I would like you all to please welcome one of the greatest wrestlers in the world today.. BROCK.. LESNAR!

HERE COMES THE PAIN! Lesnar stands around on the apron listening to the fans cheer for him as he slowly strolls down the ramp and climbs the steel steps, entering the ring while Bischoff applaudes in one corner, while Heyman only stares Lesnar down in the other.

Vince Mcmahon: Now Brock, I know you're already overwhelmed by the fact that you've just been re-signed to the company as a whole, but there's one more decision I ask for you to make. You see there on your right, there's a contract with the logo of RAW on it.. and you see there on your left, there's a contract with the logo of SMACKDOWN! on it. Now you know the procedure, you make your pick.

Eric Bischoff: Hold on just a second here, Mr. Mcmahon. Now I respect your decision, and you know that I find you to be a very astute man when it comes to business.. but don't you think it's our right to give Brock what we've got to offer?

Vince Mcmahon: Yes I suppose you're right.. go ahead.

Eric Bischoff: Thank you, Mr. Mcmahon.

Bischoff slowly walks over to Lesnar and stares him down right in the eye. He grabs the raw contract and shows it around for a few seconds, smiling.

Eric Bischoff: You see this, Brock? I worked hard on this contract.. I worked hard because I knew that the moment you would walk into that ring, I'd have to make you the best damn offer on the planet to compete with that idiot over there.

Heyman raises his hand, getting a few laughs from the crowd.

Eric Bischoff: Now this contract right here says that if you join me right here on raw.. LIVE ON SPIKE TV, then you will get EXACTLY what you deserve. Not only are you going straight to the top my friend, but you'll receive title shot after title shot, until you finally get that belt around your waist, I promise.

Mcmahon now hands a mic over to Heyman.

Paul Heyman: Brock.. I know we've had our differences in the past, but if you're willing to put all of that aside, then so am I. I'm not like Mr. Bischoff over there, I don't have these incredible offers that'll blow you out of the water.. you know the way I work and it's up to you to decide where you want to go. There's my contract, right on the table.

Lesnar takes the mic away from Heyman and stares down both men before speaking.

Brock Lesnar: First of all, I just wanna' say that it's GREAT to be back!

The fans go wild.

Brock Lesnar: Now let's get right down to business. Bischoff.. I like your offer. On a business stand point, I'm all for it.. the title shot, the guarantee of greatness, it couldn't be any better, so give me that contract.

Lesnar grabs the raw contract which Bischoff hands him in a matter of nano seconds due to his excitement. Lesnar looks at it and nods a few times, then suddenly BREAKING IT IN HALF!

Brock Lesnar: What the hell do you think I am Bischoff? No wonder I wasn't on raw the first time around, you're actually stupid enough to think I'd rather have a handed title shot than work hard for one? Do I look like Triple H? Hand me that contract, Heyman.

Heyman slowly grabs the SMACKDOWN! contract and gives it to Brock with a big smile on his face. Lesnar shakes Heyman's head, surprisingly, and turns around, kicking Bischoff right in the gut and getting him up over his shoulders, nailing him down with an F5! The fans give him a mixed reaction, just because he did not choose to go to raw. Heymand walks off with Lesnar as raw goes to its first commercial break

Overall Rating: 82%

SEGMENT 2 - WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH

Trish Stratus vs. Molly Holly

Trish Stratus was already in the ring when raw came back on the air, and Molly Holly made her way out there as well. The Coach went on saying about how great of a GM he was last night on heat, and how Molly Holly is back in the wwe only because of his contribution. Molly dominated the match early on with some of her mat based technical wrestling style that is very uncommon in the women's division. She almost picks up a three count on a fisherman suplex attempt. Molly continued to put out a great performance against Trish, but just as she was about to pick up the women's title on her return to raw, Trish nailed her with a chin kick and pinned her grabbing the tights, running away after the match.

Winner and still women's champion: Trish Stratus

Overall Rating: 75%

SEGMENT 3 - SECOND CHANCE

Mr. Mcmahon is walking backstage in the parking lot until interrupted by Kurt Angle, clothed with his entire wrestling gear and the mentality of a man who wants nothing but a fight.

Kurt Angle: Mr. Mcmahon I have to say it's great to have you around here, we rarely we a chance to see you and I just wanted to tell you how much I..

Vince Mcmahon: Cut the crap Kurt, what do you need?

Kurt Angle: A match.. a handicap match against The World's Greatest Tag Team, please Mr. Mcmahon, PLEASE.

Vince Mcmahon: Well I don't really understand why you'd want that match, but alright, you got it.. now get out of my way.

The cameras zoom in on Angle, with his happy expression plastered on the screen.

SEGMENT 4 - SINGLES MATCH

Bubba Ray Dudley vs. Mikey Whipwreck

This was Bubba's first match on raw against one half of the tag team champions, Mikey Whipwreck. Bubba held the advantage early on due to his size, but Mikey quickly took control of this bout mid way through with a dropkick and a reverse DDT that almost gets a three count. The two continue brawling for about two and a half minutes, until Bubba finally tries to grab Whipwreck in position for a one man 3D type manover, but Whipwreck reverses it by throwing Bubba into the ropes and going for a whippersnapper. D-Von runs down to the ring and runs up on the apron, distracting Whipwreck and not allowing him to hit his finisher. Whipwreck nails D-Von off the apron, and Bubba grabs him from behind with a hand full of tights as the referee counts 1...2...3! D-Von runs right into the ring and begins destroying Mikey Whipwreck down with his partner, and going outside to grab a table. Tajiri makes his way down to the ring and sprays both of them with green mist, sending them to the outside before they could act as we go backstage.

Winner: Bubba Ray Dudley

SEGMENT 5 - THE MASTER PLAN

Edge is being followed by the cameras as he and Lita enter a locker room with the big letters "Y2J" on it. He walks in and sees his buddy for the past few weeks in his wrestling attire.

Edge: Hey man, I gotta' talk to you about something.

Chris Jericho: Alright..

Edge: Well.. Kane and The Big Show pulled a couple of fast ones on us last week, but I have plan, my friend.

Edge whispers the plan to Jericho, as the cameras fade to the next scene.

SEGMENT 6 - THE SHOWSTOPPER

Shawn Michaels is shown sitting on a seat in a closed environment with a big poster of Unforgiven in the background. He stares deep into the lense of the camera and speaks.

Shawn Michaels: You know it's quite interesting the way life turns out sometimes. I still remember when I leaped off the top of the ladder and landed right on Razor Ramon in not only the first ever, but also the BEST ever ladder match in 1995. I still remember the legendary encounter with Stone Cold Steve Austin at wrestlemania fourteen for the world heavyweight championship.. I even remember my matches with Chris Jericho just a few months ago, fueled by his jealousy of me.. but this, this is beyond belief. Van Dam, I respected you, I respected you back from your ecw days and THIS.. this.. is the way you thank me? I'm a legend in this business, A SHOWSTOPPER.. and I still have to listen to someone like you run his mouth about how much better than me he is? Now I'll agree with you on something, we are similar in a lot of ways. Our wrestling styles, our career.. they've taken the same turns almost step by step.. but it seems to me that you're just a bit bitter because of the fact that I made it to the world heavyweight championship.. and you didn't. I worked damn hard to get to where I got, pal, and I ain't just gonna' let somebody deminish my achievements 'cause he's hung up that he just ain't good enough to be the champion. Now you wanna' put the heart break kid's career on the line in two weeks at unforgiven? .. YOU'RE ON! I'm not afraid of you, Van Dam, never will be, but I've got plenty of advice to give to you pal, oh-ho yeah! 'CAUSE TWO WEEKS FROM TONIGHT.. YOU.. ROB VAN DAM.. WILL FEEL.. THE POWER.. OF THE SWEET.. CHIN.. MUSIC-AH!

Michaels kicks the camera over and brings us back out to the ring.

SEGMENT 7 - HANDICAP MATCH

The World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Kurt Angle

Before the match could begin, Kurt Angle made his way out to the ramp and announced that this wasn't a 1 on 2 handicap match, but instead a 3 on 2 handicap. He then announces that his partners for this match are.. SNITSKY AND KENZO SUZUKI. The three men run down to the ring in a hurry and take advantage of the bout early on, destroying Haas and Benjamin. Angle then gets out of the ring and watches as Snitsky and Kenzo beat the living hell out of his former stable mates in Team Angle. Kurt watches for another few seconds, until entering the ring and locking a huge ankle lock on Shelton Benjamin, forcing him to tap out. He then walks over to Haas and does the same to him, watching him tap out as well and celebrating with his buddies.

Winner: Kurt Angle, Snitsky and Kenzo Suzuki

SEGMENT 8 - THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH

The Rock is seen hanging out backstage with a few members of the crew, drinking his coffee, until Eugene joins him. He begins jumping up and down and clapping his hands while smiling.

Eugene Dinsmore: OH WOW ROCK YAY ROCK! I just wanted to say.. wanted to say thank you.

The Rock: Well The Rock's glad to help ya' Eugene, and I hear you got an intercontinental title match against Carlito now at unforgiven, huh?

Eugene Dinsmore: YEAH! Eugene's gonna' go out there at unforgiven, and the fans are gonna' be like "EUGENE! EUGENE!" and I'm gonna' grab Carlito.. and I'm gonna SLAM HIM ON THE GROUND WITH A ROCK BOTTOM! CAN YA SMELLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN'!?

The Rock: Sure can. Glad I could help ya' buddy, see ya' around.

Rock walks off and Eugene begins biting his thumb again.

SEGMENT 9 - TAG TEAM MATCH

The Big Show and Kane vs. The Heart Throbs

This match was a complete squash, as predicted. Antonio and Romeo tried to get some offense in early on, but Kane and The Big Show destroyed them with a pair of clothelines and some more double team manovers. They then turned the two around and grabbed them hard by their necks, slamming them down to the ground with two chokeslams and both covering them at the same time as Hebner counts 1...2...3! Kane and Big Show celebrate their win, but all of a sudden Edge and Chris Jericho come running into the ring with two steel chairs. They wait for Kane and Big Show to turn around and WHACK them right over the head with them, making some kind of double con-chair-to, E n C style. The two continue to beat Show and Kane down with their finishers, then walking off and celebrating their work.

Winner: Kane and The Big Show

SEGMENT 10 - THE WHOLE DAMN SHOW

Rob Van Dam is standing by the interview set with Maria.

Maria Kannelis: Rob Van Dam.. in two weeks, you take on Shawn Michaels in a match that puts the heart break kid's career on the line. What are your thoughts?

Rob Van Dam: You wanna' know my thoughts, dude? I'll tell you my thoughts. My thoughts are that Shawn Michaels is stealing my spotlight. I mean.. what happened when HBK was ready to take over for The Nature Boy, huh? I think Ric Flair got out of the way and let Shawn Michaels do his thing.. but noooo, HBK's too good to retire even though he's old enough to be my grandfather. It's time Shawn Michaels retired, and I'm the only one that's willing to do something about it, and if you're too dumb to understand that.. then I really don't have time for this.

Van Dam pushes the mic back on Maria's chest and walks off.

SEGMENT 11 - SINGLES MATCH

Carlito Caribbean Cool vs. John Cena

This was the main event of the evening, putting the wwe champion against the intercontinental champion. Cena started this match off incredibly well, taking advantage of his experience over Carlit owith some early combinations of rights and lefts and a few power moves that get close two count. Carlito is able to sneak in a low blow mid way into the match, which gives him the chance to take control of the bout and start working on different body parts of John Cena with a few puerto rican submission manovers that his father must've taught him. Carlito then powerslams Cena down to the mat and hooks both of his legs, but gets a very close two count. Despite the fact that this is a non-title bout, Carlito would love to get a win over the champion to bring him up the ranks. Cena is able to reverse the momentum towards the end of the bout, as he begins nailing Carlito over the head with a series of right hands, then sends him to the mat with a forearm smash and runs to the ropes. He brushes off his shoulders and nails the five knuckle shuffle, which only get a two count. Cena then gets back up and pumps up his shoes, getting ready to nail the FU. Carlito gets back up to his feet and Cena grabs him over his shoulders, but Carlito slides behind Cena and pushes him into the turnbuckle, squashing the referee. Carlito then low blows Cena again, sending him down to the mat. He then looks over to the entrance ramp and points to Cena, as all of a sudden Triple H makes his way down the isle with a sledge hammer. He slides into the ring and destroys John Cena with the sledge hammer, then hitting one of the best looking Pedigrees he has hit in a while and leaving the scene while the referee is slowly getting up. Carlito just throws himself on top of Cena as Hebner makes the count 1......2......3! Carlito and Triple H walks back up the entrance ramp celebrating, as Triple H screams "YOU AND ME CENA, YOU AND ME" and raw goes off the air.

Winner: Carlito Caribbean Cool

the new style i s much better

- i loved the begininning and the big announcement but it sorta seemed obvious Lesnar went to Sd. You dont need to do that on RAW ! that peeves off fans since his supposed to be a face.

- Angles match was a suprise when it ended up 3 on 2 !! That was a neat suprise

- Im Intrigued by this master plan Edge and Jericho are on about

- The two RVD and HBK interviews were brilliant... fantastic work

- The Eugene thing was pointless in all honesty and i think i know what its hyping up to .... but more of Carltio v Eugene would be nice not Eugene licking some Rocky ass.

- The mainevent seemed a bit out of nowhere ... Trips coming down made it better.

Overall good RAW and i LOVE th enew style its much better so cant wait for Sd!
