I think we (Villa) have a great chance of being Manchester United, I doubt Man Utd will put an even half-decent side out for this match, especially because it's before the FA Cup, Man Utd's only chance of winning anything this season. And if Newcastle fuck up against Southampton and Liverpool, we'll snatch that 5th place. My predictions for this weekend:

Arsenal 2 v 2 Leicester City

Aston Villa 2 v 1 Manchester United

Blackburn Rovers 0 v 0 Birmingham City

Bolton Wanderers 1 v 0 Fulham

Charlton Athletic 3 v 1 Southampton

Chelsea 4 v 1 Leeds United

Liverpool 1 v 1 Newcastle United

Manchester City 0 v 0 Everton

Portsmouth 2 v 1 Middlesbrough

Wolverhampton Wndrs 2 v 2 Tottenham Hotspur

Bit of a meaningless weekend considering that everything is sorted such as champions, relegation and liverpool will probably get the last champions league place. I just hope Spurs can managet to beat Wolves and not make themselves the laughing stock of the premiership, even though they pretty much already are.

Question for the true EPL followers...can Bolton still get 5th and a UEFA Cup place? If so, what needs to happen? I'd check the standings, but I can't be arsed to do that right now. :P

5. Aston Villa - Played 37 - 56pts (GD +6)

6. Newcastle - Played 36 - 54pts (GD +12)

7. Bolton - Played 37 - 53pts (GD - 6)

Answer = Yes. But you'd have to be very, very lucky.

Edit: To be more precise:

- Aston Villa have to lose to Man Utd at home. (Preferably by about 12 goals...*cough*)

- Bolton must, of course, beat Fulham, also at home.

- Newcastle must not gain more than 1pt from their last two games - away to Southampton (tomorrow night), and at Anfield. If they got 2pts then their goal difference is far too better to contend with.

I hope Newcastle don't win tomorrow and save me a few days worry before Saturday, but even if they do win, we should hopefully do enough on Saturday.

Gerrard to hopefully get a goal in front of the Kop to cap an amazing season for him.

Not with our goal differential :(

*sigh* Next year is Bolton's year, don't you forget it! :P

And when we beat United, and Liverpool beat Newcastle.. we'll happily take our much deserved 5th spot, thanks. :)

Like I said, the only way we can get 5th, is by beating United, while Liverpool beat Newcastle, OR Southampton beat Newcastle.

If Newcastle lose one of their games, then the other wont matter... IF we beat United.

Simply, we HAVE TO win.

I hate this time of year. When the football season ends, it is such a sad time. Thank god it is only 30-odd days until the Euro Champs, and we still have the play-offs to watch. *Sniffle* :'(
