IGN's Preview

This game sounds awesome. All the stuff you do off the field is wicked cool, and it makes it sound like a gritty and dark game. If the game play is different then the old Blitz titles and is at least a little on the more realistic side, I will be buying this game.

I am going to try it out....I am all out for football lately. I just hope the gameplay is better because the last time I bought a Blitz game (20-03 I think) I ended up playing once or twice and trading it in.

Its going to be a rental for me before I decide to buy it

I liked the N64 Blitz games more then the PS2 one that I played. This does look great, too bad it doesn't come out this month. Then I could get it for my B-day. I guess I'll grab it with B-Day money or gift cards though.

People seem to think the last couple blitz games weren't as good because it somewhat became more tamed and the hits didn't seem as hard (not sure if this is true last blitz I played was for N64 and PS1) but it was because the NFL told the developers to tone it down and make it more like Madden... go figure.

I am looking forward to this game. Because Ron Mexico is in it :shifty: . Plus I think it had the writers of Playmaker help with the game.

Yeah, if you check out the producer interviews one of the guys talks about the ideas they wanted in the game and the NFL just plain said no to.

I think i've become the new biggest fan of this re-born series :P

Sorry for bringing this topic up, but I thought it would be better than creating a new one.

Anyway, I'm stoked for this game after seeing some gameplay elements and the TV spot. Tackles look wicked awesome and the story mode seems like it will kick ass. I shall definately be buying it this week, along with cashing in 11 winning caps for 1-liter sodas.

Blitz is the Playmaker's game. The game you guys may be thinking of is Road to Sunday which was being developed by 989 Studios.

I grabed the game today, just about to pop it in, anyone have any questions they want answered about the game? I'd be more then happy to answer them...

What I find helps to dirty hit is holding onto the R2 button at the line of scrimage (if your playing the d-line) holding the button doesn't do any damage and it allows you to hit it good, rather then hitting and holding quick before the hit doesn't.

I haven't played that much yet, I'm 1-0 and in the middle of a game versus Cinni now, up 28-21 at the half.

Thats not enough though, I have 10 g's on me winning by 11.

(BTW - I love the point spread in the betting, it's great!)
