Yeah, so I've been getting into SYL lately, but haven't got any idea on which album to get...so help me on that, will you? Specific songs will be good too, and also what bands sound like SYL?

The self titled album is good, as is Devin Townsend's own album "Terria", which is a little different, but still worth checking out.

They do. "Life" is on "Ocean Machine".

They might have 3 then, as I think they have one called "Accelerated Evolution", or something like that.

Admittedly, I don't expect SYL to be the most loved band on this board, but generally most things Devin Townsend turns himself to is worth checking out.

I've got practically every song off 'Alien' except the last track, which I have no intention of getting. The album's really good IMO, I especially like Shitstorm and Love?

That's why you're supposed to take each album for what it is, not take it by what you want it to be/compare it to other albums.

Though I'd agree usually, as Dav asked for thier best albums/songs, comparing them to each other makes sense.

ON the subject of Devin Townsend, Physicist is quite good as well. I saw him about a month or so ago. Amazing as always. Ocean Machine is first, is a little different, but really great.

On SYL, 'City' is also quite a good album.

I've only heard "Force Fed" by SYL, but I really dig that song.
