Ok, I've seen this on another forum, so bugger, I'm dragging it over here.

Simple, go to Youtube and search for some good music videos, live performances....hell, as long as it is music related and worth a watch, lob it in here.

This is In Flames playing "Take This Life" from the new Come Clarity album at some show.

I'll add more once I've had more of a look.

Guest Mr. Potato Head

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnCXjDxcyLc

AC/DC with an excellent performance of 'Back in Black' and 'Thunderstruck' in front of nearly half a million people as part of the SARSstock concert in Toronto in 2003. Sadly, I can't find the video of Justin Timberlake from the same concert, where the TV cameras picked up all the water bottles and such being thrown at him.

Neil Young leading most of the crew from the Canadian Live 8 in "Rockin' In The Free World". Off the top of my head, I can point out members of the Tragically Hip, DMC, Barenaked Ladies, Motley Crue, and Our Lady Peace, as well as Dan Aykroyd (!), Bruce Cockburn, Gordon Lightfoot, and Sam Roberts.

And if I may go off on a small rant...why is it that someone like me, who will pay for a DVD of the concert, only gets maybe half the show, while someone who videotaped the whole thing on their TV gets all of it for free?

Megadeth - Symphony Of Destruction

Thats just a good song and a pretty cool video. I still haven't decided whether I like Mustaine's vocals or not, but whatever. They work in this song.

Pantera - Walk

Walk, by Pantera. Again, just a great song.

CKY - Shippensburg (LIVE)

CKY - Escape From Hellview

CKY - 96 Quite Bitter Beings (LIVE)

Awesome. CKY is my favorite band of all time, so I tried to find something to share with all of you. Everyone should watch the live version of 96 Quite Bitter Beings at least.

CKY - Shock And Terror

I had to add one more. This is just a pimptacular music video.

CKY - Suddenly Tragic (LIVE, Last Call with Carson Daly)

Thats one of there newer songs from there latest CD. It's an awesome song.

Not posting any links to Youtube stuff, but remember:

You can download stuff from there if you have Firefox and get a plug-in.

I use a freeware program I downloaded called Super to re-encode the files so I don't have to use the FLV player. (I usually change files so I can watch them using Divx) Its also handy for converting other file types like M4A files I get from some podcasts I subscribe to.

You can get Super here:

http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

*edit after reading Kulex's post: the download link is http://www.erightsoft.com/S5E01.html - scroll to the bottom of the page.

Its easy to use. If you can't figure it out, then there's probably a seat reserved for you on the shortbus.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4Z_eTJq3bY...=Jim%20Gaffigan - Jim Gaffigan, from a Comedy Central special, doing stand up about Hot Pockets. (Y)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTRiS18krT4...h=Def%20Leppard - Def Leppard - "Photograph". `nuff said.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Voyp9QWDqFs...formers%20theme - music video someone made using clips from the cartoon of the heavy metal theme to "Transformers The Movie" by the band Lion. If you're a Transformers fan and have never heard the metal version of the theme, click the link, throw up the metal sign, and give a listen....er....watch!

Some Jpop for the anime\Jpop fans:

(None of these are anime clips, btw; they all feature the actual performers)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzqTJWQWoeg...rt%20of%20Sword - TM Revolution - "Heart of Sword", from Ruroni Kenshin (note: I love the song, but the video has to be seen to see how bad it sucks! lol)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILgvZmr_EBU...n%20Your%20Eyes - Boa, doing a sweet cover of the classic "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" in English. Live performance from a concert or awards show

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U--01mRuD4M...20Every%20Heart - Boa again. Music video for "Every Heart", the 4th Inuyasha theme - this is the English language version of the song, but set to the Japanese music video so her mouth doesn't exactly synch with the words.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4W6OFewgQp8...20As%20Infinity - Do As Infinity, doing "Fukai Mori", the first or second Inuyasha theme (I forget which)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsTgcwUre6c...y%20Steady%20Go - Live in concert version of "Ready Steady Go", aka the first, and best, Fullmetal Alchemist theme. By L'Arc en Ciel (why the f does a Japanese band have a French name?) Definitely check this out, even if you don't like J-pop or Anime!

Incidentally, Boa is actually Korean, not Japanese, but she's cute and can sing, which is all that matters.

"Wake Up In New York", by Craig Armstrong & Evan Dando. It's really simplistic, but beautiful and one of my favourite music videos.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkwc35tS_FE...arch=lucksmiths

The only live video I've ever seen of my favourite band, The Lucksmiths, performing a great song called "Smokers In Love".

Not a great quality vid, but a rare Carnival In Coal live performance, performing "Fuckable".

Mr Bungle performing "What The World Needs Now" at the Bizarre Festival. And Be, if you think my smile is terrifying, don't look at Mike Patton. He smiles like a man who can't feel emotion, but has been taught how to express it. Truly terrifying.

A short clip of a fantastic band called Honey Ride Me A Goat at the Live Lounge in Jersey.

Another Live Lounge clip, this one of FalenizzaHorsePower, an incredible local band, comprised only of a bassist and a drummer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TkWRmVZc-Y...ight%20Expresso

More local goodness, in the form of two tracks by The Midnight Expresso. Comedy gold.

A clip from "No Direction Home" involving Bob Dylan, an advert and wordplay <_<
