Transfers cost 4 I think. So yeah it's not really advisable to do it with any more than a player at a time since you may well end up spending more than they'll ever be able to earn.

You don't get it. Every team plays 38 games. It doesn't matter WHEN they play them. During the season, everyone will play 38 games. So what you're doing is pointless

If you have a bunch of (non injured) Liverpool/Arsenal/Wigan/Newcastle players in your team then they won't earn you any points next week. They don't play next week. Either you'll swap them, costing you points, or you'll let your subs come in and get less points than you would if. It doesn't matter that the players play twice in a future week, because they'll only get you those points if you pick them for your team again.

If you'd picked Chelsea/United players instead of Liverpool ones then you would have got good points this week and next week, and then you could have picked a bunch of Liverpool players for the week that they play twice.

I know exactly what he means. I'll try and explain with an example as best I can...

Arsenal aren't playing in week 2. So if you had Fabregas in your team like I do, you can transfer him out for another midfielder from another team who are playing in week 2 to earn you points.

Then when week 5 comes around, when Arsenal play 2 games in the same week to make up for the earlier missed fixture. You transfer Fabregas back in, and you get points for both his matches.

Effectively earning you an extra set of points. Since you have week 5 points from Fabregas, and week 2 points from both Fabregas AND the other midfielder.

Understanding me? Granted it's all down to how well the players do, but yeah...

And as it turns out, I only lost 6pts by not playing Zamora. So it wasn't terrible.

For playing in a game 1

For playing at least 60 minutes in a game (includes playing points mentioned above) 2

For each goal scored by your goalkeeper or defenders 6

For each goal scored by your midfielders 5

For each goal scored by your forwards 4

For each goal assist 3

For your goalkeeper / defender conceding 0 goals (must also play at least 60 minutes) 4

For your midfielder conceding 0 goals (must also play at least 60 minutes) 1

For every 3 shot saves made by your goalkeeper 1

For every penalty save 5

For every penalty miss -2

Bonus points for the best players in a match 1-3

For every 2 goals conceded by your goalkeeper or defenders -1

For every yellow card -1

For every red card (includes any yellow card points) -3

Double for captains.

The three best players in each match get 3, 2 and 1 bonus point respectively.

For gameweek 2 I have Rooney, Henry, Fabregas and Carragher all missing.

As well as already deciding to use my transfer on someone else, I brought the wild card into play. It's a shame to use it this early on but hey, I lived last season without such a feature.

Just replaced Drogba with Radzinski, so that I could put Lampard in midfield.

Wish I'd remembered to replace Rooney with Zamora in time for the deadline though

Another nice set of results for my team.

Sheva and McCarthy both scored, Saha scored and got an assist, Sol Campbell and Michael Dawson kept clean sheets and Wes Brown got an assist and a clean sheet.

63 points, not bad.

Saha is on fire. Now I face a dilemma. Which do I transfer out between Saha and Shevchenko for Henry? Or do I keep them both.

I keep putting faith in the wrong player as captain. Last week Henry and this week Lampard.
