Not exactly a cartoon, but there was a show I used to watch as a kid, it was on really early on weekday mornings on Channel 4. It had these animal puppets, and they ran a café in the middle of a swamp. It started off with one of them sitting by a tree playing guitar, and I'm pretty sure one of them was a fox. Anyone remember it? It's been bugging me for years.

Well let's see, when I was growing up there was a huge anime fad and they aired Dragon Ball and stuff like that in French so that's what I watched in the mornings, but the afternoons were all stuff like C.O.P.S., GI Joe, Ghostbusters, Mask, He-Man and Transformers.

Then as I grew older it became the FOX Saturday morning cartoons like X-Men and Spiderman.

And now I'm just old and bitter.

The early to mid 90's X-Men Cartoon was all sorts of great. Plenty of YouTube clips if anyone has the inclination to watch some.

There was more obviously, but I'm just in an X-Men mood.

I not too long ago discovered that I knew all the words to the Duckula opening theme song, despite having not seen the show in years and never actiely trying to learn it. That was mildly disconcerting.

I had an older brother who pretty much affected what I watched (I used to worship the ground he walked on ).

Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tugs, Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors, Biker Mice From Mars, M.A.S.K, Around The World With Willy Fog, He-Man, Thundercats, Wacky Races (The Stop The Pigeon thing was pretty good too), Ghostbusters, Pokemon.

I dunno, old cartoons from the 30s-60s like Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry etc. don't really fit the same frame of 80s cheese. I mean sure, we watched them, but that was because they were classics. I still watch them now. >_>

And if Pokemon is seriously being mentioned, you may as well throw all the Animaniacs/Tiny Toons/Freakazoid/etc. in. Just to fill in the age gap a little bit.

Pokemon was a joke....it does seem like years and years since I watched it though. It was the only cartoon I really watched when I got older (Besides the classics). Oh and Transformers tapes...the new Transformers was wank.

And yeah, Looney Toons/Tom & Jerry and the classics go without saying (eg Thomas The Tank). But I used to ADORE Wacky Races, hence why I made mention to that.

If Thomas the Tank Engine can qualify as a 'cartoon', then it goes top of my list. I was obsessed with it as a kid.
