Smackdown Preview - April 11 , 2002

Smackdown will host the very first World Heavyweight Championship Celebration fresh off the back of Kane's victory over The Undertaker at Backlash. There is no question about it; Kane is a dominant human being and one has to wonder who, if anyone, will be able to stop him. Stay tuned to follow all the latest developments with the World Heavywight Champion.

The Intercontinental Title was also put on the line at Backlash by Shawn Stasiak against the up and coming Smackdown Superstar, Matt Hardy. But despite Matt's best efforts, he was unable to get the job done and Stasiak somehow managed to walk away from the Kemper arena still the Intercontinental Champion. Tonight, Matt teams with Kazuhiro against the Cruiserweight Champion Brian Moore and his partner, the Intercontinental Champion Shawn Stasiak. You can be sure that both Kaz and Matt Hardy will be out to impress tonight as they both chase for title gold in the future.

An issue that has been boiling over for the past few weeks has been the relationship of Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle. This all started two weeks ago when Kurt Angle was pinned by Shawn Michaels in the World Heavyweight Title tournament and Kurt Angle felt that he was screwed. Angle retaliated one week later when he attacked Shawn Michaels in the World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi Final Match and Shawn Michaels was eliminated from the competition. With both men out for each other's throats, who knows what's going to happen next? Tonight Kurt Angle sees action against The British Bulldog while Shawn Michaels goes one on one with Diamond Dallas Page.

Also in action tonight will be the Dudley Boyz, Randy Orton, Donovan Clark and Al Snow making Smackdown the hottest television show on TV.
