THC, I already have "Evil Empire" that's why it's on the list of CD's I have. But the only reason why I'm doing this is because even though NYC might be a little "expensive" I always try to get a couple while I'm there. I mean I'll get other stuff while I'm there but CD's I needed some help.

RATM - Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium (but the DVD version is better, so I'd go with that if you can get your hands on it).

STP - Core

STP - Thank You (nice greatest hits album)

ZZ Top - Mescalero

Slayer - got quite partial to the new "Christ Illusion"

Of course the classic Tool "Lateralus"

Now Meat Loaf, where to get me started:

* Bat out of Hell II: Back Into Hell

* Dead Ringer

* Blind Before I Stop

* Couldn't Have Said it Better

And if you're getting it from dodgy suppliers :shifty: get the leaked "Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose", its damn good.

Hope thats a bit of help.

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow

Rainbow - Long Live Rock'n'Roll

The Cult - Love

There's three awesome albums, all among my favourites. You need to own them.

If you're really going all out getting CD's, here's three more good albums I can recommend:

Deep Purple - In Rock

Deep Purple - Machine Head

Rush - Moving Pictures

I also own some Whitesnake, Blue Öyster Cult, Bon Jovi and Boston, but I'd pick those 6 (especially the first three) ahead of anything else.

Pixies - Bossanova and Trompe le Monde

Jimi Hendrix - Axis: Bold as Love

Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile (YOU NEED THIS)

Misfits - American Psycho and Static Age

Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium

Alice in Chains - Alice in Chains and Unplugged

Green Day - Warning, Nimrod (Their two best in my opinion)

  • 2 weeks later...

You're going to NYC to buy CD's?

New York has 8.25 percent sales tax. And the city is home to overpriced everything. Go to Connecticut, seriously.

8.25!!! Wow, I have 14% Sales Tax down here and it used to be 15.

Lucky bastards.

If you didn't have a national health care system, it would be like 7% for you.

The state of New York itself is at 4%, the counties tack on their own rates between 3 and 5.5% more. And counties in or close to New York City tack on another 3/8ths to fund public transit. So NYC is 8.375%, Westchester County (north of The Bronx) is half percent lower. Nassau (east of Queens) is higher a quarter. New Jersey is at 7%, Connecticut 6, Massachusetts 5. Average is around Mass to Conn range.
