While I'm here, I may as well suggest that you list what filetypes are supported by the Image Hosts beside of their URL, because not many free ones allow gifs, and it would save some people a good deal of time.

I found this at another board and thought it might be useful for some people

by the order of importance for me:

- Patience!!!!

- understanding of all masking tools and being able to use the right one when necessary.

- understanding of blending modes and the effects that can be created by many layers and modes.

- finding high quality stocks for your needs. (respecting the stock photographer you should only use the photos as restricted trying to give credit to the website atleast. free stocks are not for commercial use. scans too. do not even attempt unless you have proper consent or paid for the rights and usage)

- being able to handle adjustments and mastering photo retouch is a must for clean high end manips. it starts from brigtness to contrast and hue-sat to curves, levels, color balance cloning, patching, color replacements, liquify tool everything and all that photoshop offers.

- basics of typography. so that you wont mess up your marvellous manip with some shitty text.

if you miss one from the above you loose control of the images that you are making and believe me that doesnt get you anywhere.

Bonuses: Photography (manip your own photos and models. thats what I wish), lightning knowledge, basics of painting and shading, understanding white space and composition, color knowledge, some advanced photoshop effects for enchancements.

rest is all up to your creativity.

The free acount gives you NO banner ad, 10meg space (that's a good deal, in terms of IPB hacks and things), 1meg bandwidth, and it's the ONLY quality free forum host that can provide IPB2.0, because it's ran by IPB, and a licsensing issue states that free forum hosts can't use IPB2.0.
