The new Flash Gordon series

I'm posting this as a warning for the people here outside the U.S., in case it hasn't aired where you are yet.

The new Flash Gordon series that the Sci-Fi Channel is airing is a serious waste of a tv slot. What's worse is, they canned The Dresden Files to do this.

The writing and acting are bad and the show is obviously done on the cheap. You CANNOT properly do Flash Gordon on the cheap or without spaceships, and they are doing both.

Ming isn't asian, but instead is a normal looking blond haired guy who comes off more like an evil corporate CEO than anything like Ming, and to make things worse he looks kind of like a Nazi wannabe, since he wears a black and red uniform.

Zarkhov looks like he escaped from the Revenge of the Nerds movies.

The actress playing Dale Arden is way too skinny for the part.

The show is getting shit on just about everywhere by people who are Flash Gordon fans, and over at the Sci-Fi Channel forums I'd estimate about 90 to 95% of the posters already want it cancelled or heavily retooled.

Meh....an here I was thinking it was alright for a Sci-fi show. >_>

But then again...never did watch the old Flash Gordon.
