The first song's been made available at their official website. I actually dig this. After Serj took SOAD's eccentric Zappa-esque stuff to the extreme, it's cool to see the band's base sound applied to something more grounded. The song is obviously written for Daron's voice, so he sounds the least awkward I've heard him in anything. I don't know if it'll have as high moments as I felt "Elect the Dead" did, but you get the feeling that this will probably be a much more digestable rock record. Thoughts?

It's a very good song. I wasn't a fan of System of a Down, but I really like how the 'quirkyness' of the song (the siren-like guitars) isn't shoved down our throats like it would have been if it was made by SOAD.

I finally got a chance to listen to it and I'm impressed. I was hesitant to see what they would do non-System of a Down but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm definitely looking forward to their upcoming album now.

Not knowing that much about SOAD I never knew who was who until these solo projects. He's certainly my favourate SOAD singer, it's just I never knew anyone other than Serj in the band. Definately getting this pre-ordered as soon as album details are released.
