So, I left my PS3 connected online when I left for work so I could connect onto it through my PSP at work and start the download....So it's all done but now I gotta go out for the evening. Grawr.

Took me 5 hours yesterday guys... Just leave it and do something else. And that's the bittorrent method too. The HTML one apparently takes even longer.

Beta runs from April 21st to May 5th.

It supports up to 16 people, with 8 to a side in team games.

This article details what you can expect of the Beta. With the "starter pack" obviously having more and then subsequent downloads once the main game is out.

Because Metal Gear Online is a big enough deal that it'd soon over-run the PS3 thread, so even though it's early it's still a good idea to have a seperate thread for the game. If you can endure requests for an entire subforum just for GTA, surely a seperate thread for this isn't a mega big problem?

I downloaded the game yesterday, only took an hour or two but I've yet to have any luck getting the patch, thus far all I've had is network errors messages, so yeah. The article is interesting though, this might be the first game where capture the flag is actually fun since the whole point is about sneaking and hiding rather than just run and gun.
