The fucking Gym Class Heroes? Really? That sucks. This is the worst line up in years.

Outside of Every Time I Die, The Bouncing Souls, and The Vandals I can't think of much to go for. Most of the other decent bands on the list don't really fit the Warped Tour mold. Where is Bad Religion? Didn't they release a new record this year? What about Rancid or one of Tim's other projects? I went to the Warped tour ages ago and other then The Vandals and Pennywise I can't see many of the tours staples.

They are just about the last band I'd go to the Warped Tour to see. Their music can be catchy, but come on... This is the same Warped Tour that made its bones with guys like Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, Anti-Flag, Avenged Sevenfold, Bouncing Souls, Dropkick.

But to their credit this is like the third time they've been on the tour.

I just noticed that the Dickies are unconfirmed, something I skipped over before. The Dickies are really fucking cool, but GBH and the Dickies wont get me to shell out a bunch of a cash when I could probably see them in one of Detroit's fine little shit holes for a much cheaper price, and with much cooler people around.

It's all about Four Year Strong, Gaslight Anthem and Does It Offend You, Yeah? baby.

Then again - if your talking about a tour that made bands like Avenged Sevenfold, then perhaps you aren't gonna care about those kind of bands. >_<

I caught a bit of Mayday Parade on Saturday...they were fucking terrible. Like, cancer, terrible.

Anyways, people bitching about the line-up...I think it isn't that bad. A lot of good bands. A LOOOOOT better than last years, where I seem to only recall about 4 good bands, tops. There's a lot better variation. Yes, it's following the trend of moving away from punk-rock, but you've still got a good selection of punk-rock bands. And the non-Punk Rock band's they've drafted in this year, a lot of them are pretty good. The only problem is, most of the good bands aren't playing all of the dates.

Anyways...good bands;

  • The Gaslight Anthem
  • Authority Zero
  • Pennywise
  • Four Year Strong
  • The Bronx
  • Jack's Mannequin
  • Protest The Hero
  • Say Anything
  • Rise Against
  • Reel Big Fish
  • Does It Offend You, Yeah? (And I know what you're thinking...NOT an emo band...think like Daft Punk meets The Killers)
  • The Bouncing Souls
  • Against Me! (As long as they stay the fuck away from shit like "STOP! TAKE SOME TIME TO THINK! FIGURE OUT WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU!"...eugh)
  • The Action Design
  • Dillinger Escape Plan
  • Reliant K
  • GBH
  • Hi-Fi Hand Grenades
  • Street Dogs
  • Paramore
  • All-American Rejects (Well, I like their singles)
  • Charlotte Sometimes (Really not sure how she fits though...as she's basically Alanis Morisette meets Natasha Bedingfield meets Imogen Heap)
  • Story Of The Year
  • Be Your Own Pet
  • Angels & Airwaves (As badly as I want to hate them...Tom Delonge is just too precious..the guy's lost it...it's amazing)

And if someone goes, please kill Katy Perry...I fucking hate her. "Ur So Gay (But you don't even like boys)" was quite catchy at first...but she can fuck off, she's a trendwhore slag, and annoying as fuck.

The fucking Gym Class Heroes? Really? That sucks.

This will be their third time on the tour, why so upset now?

I'll be there on July 30, but I gotta take this time to express how much I HATE HATE HATE the Warped Tour. I hate big festivals in general, but the Warped Tour is the worst. It's over before it even gets dark outside, rock music isn't supposed to be played in the daylight. Being outside is bad enough - rock music should be in a tiny ass bar, a large club, or a giant arena if you're going to the Def Leppard show, but I can tolerate outdoor shows as long as it's dark. Getting up at 9 am to go sweat my balls off with 25,000 tweenagers until their 8pm curfew is not rock music.

I like what Warped Tour does for a lot of new acts, it lets them share the stage with a lot of guys they wouldn't otherwise have a chance of touring with, but other than that - it's a safe, manufactured bullshit "punk" "festival" for little kids. I'm not even shitting on the bands - I like bands like Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes, Paramore, and the Audition - I just can't stand the crowd it attracts and the set up.

Oh and Norma Jean is the suckiest suck that ever sucked.
