An Old TV Show

Trying to remember an old cartoon TV show, it had what I could swear was Mozart. I remember one specific episode where a character kept having dreams within dreams. I also remember that music was banned. Help

I feel like I've seen this, but I can't quite peg it either.

What time period are we talking, exactly?

Airing or scene?

Airing probably mid nineties, scene was 1600's or something really old, though I do also recall it happening in the future (one of these may have been in the dream episode).

Airing. I find most mid-90s cartoons I have a vague recollection of were oneshots featured on either Nickelodeon's Oh Yeah! Cartoons or Cartoon Network's What A Cartoon!.

However, possibly remembering more than one episode hurts the chances of that.

I've done some Google action and found nothing, but I'm sure you probably already tried that. I suggest you ask on the forums at RetroJunk. They helped me remember the name of short-lived cartoon The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley, and it doesn't get much more obscure than that.
