Cantona for £1.2m is in a different era though, it was a good deal but it was only that low because of the market at the time.

Wasn't Schmeichel £100,000 or something? That's the best United deal.

I think it was more like 350k but yeah, your point stands.

Paul Warhurst for £2.7 million in 1993! Ridiculous. And Matty Holmes for £1.2 million in '95, he played in ten games in two seasons, so £120,000 a game! Kevin Davies for £7.5 million! Christian Dailly, £5.3 million! Nathan Blake for £4.25 million, Nathan Blake! Ashley Ward for £4.5 million! Carrado Grabbi for £6.75 million! EIGHT MILLION ON OAP ANDY COLE! Seven and a half million on the shit hun himself, Barry Ferguson!
