So I've recently gotten into them in recent months, good stuff I must say.

Ranking of albums:

I love Steely Dan. If I were to rank the albums I'd probably do something like...

1. Pretzel Logic

2. Katy Lied

3. The Royal Scam

4. Can't Buy A Thrill

5. Countdown To Ecstacy

6. Aja

7. Two Against Nature

8. Everything Must Go

9. Gaucho

I like every album though Pretzel Logic is one of my favourite albums ever. I really wanted to see them in June but I couldn't afford tickets.

I just picked up the two newer ones. They're quite like Gaucho, but worse. And I never was a huge Gaucho fan to begin with, beyond Hey Nineteen. So these aren't exciting me much.

Everything Must Go was just annoying, especially with it being about malls and ripping the consumerist society - or whatever the hell it was.

When I was going on album rankings, I was debating based on:

1. Do It Again, Dirty Work, Midnight Cruiser, Reelin In The Years

2. Razor Boy, The Boston Rag, Your Gold Teeth, Show Biz Kids, King of the World

4. Black Friday, Bad Sneakers, Doctor Wu, Your Gold Teeth II, Any World That I'm Welcome To

5. Kid Charlemagne, The Caves of Altamira, Don't Take Me Alive, The Royal Scam

Katy Lied though was more all around good, while my favorites off Royal Scam have been stuff I've been listening to daily (if not several times daily) lately.

I thought about seeing them in Boston. They had the album live shows - but Aja and Gaucho, no Royal Scam. They also had an internet request show too. But I had just seen Paul McCartney a few days before, and that trip was over $100.

Then two weeks later was at a casino 45 min from my house, but the tickets were like $75 plus fees, so like $90. Decided to instead see Springsteen two weeks later also.
