Good Raw. Sucks about Steamboat, but the Elizabeth injury made me laugh a little. I was surprised the heels got the win in the main event, but I was glad it was Roberts who got the pin. Id like to see him and Hart in an IC Title fued after Battle Lines.

The Texas Tornado vs The Chosen One Jeff Jarrett w/Jimmy Hart

Jarrett and Hart confidently make their way to the ring for what will be Jarrett’s toughest challenge to date, the fans boo the duo. The man who will try to end the undefeated streak of Jarrett is the Texas Tornado who gets a good reception. Jarrett tries to jump Tornado but he sees it coming as he strikes him with a series of right hands. Jarrett topples backwards, and falls down, through the ring ropes. Tornado follows, and grabs Jarrett he slams his face onto the ring apron before he throws him back into the ring. Tornado scoop slams Jarrett to the mat and follows that up with a pair of clotheslines. He then strikes a pose which the crowd loves, as Jarrett slowly gets up. Tornado runs at him, but Jarrett hits him with a drop toe-hold, sending him face-first into the mat. It doesn't take long for Jarrett to start working on the knee, swiftly grabbing Tornado’s right leg and puts the boots to it. Jarrett follows up with an elbow drop to the knee. Tornado slowly gets to his feet only to get hit with a Jarrett dropkick. Jarrett pulls Tornado up only to chop block him from behind, Jarrett goes for a quick pin but only gets a two count. Jarrett scoop slams Tornado to the mat, he drags Tornado’s leg to the rope, places the leg on the rope and jumps on the leg. With the help of the ropes Tornado slowly gets to his feet, he staggers forward only to be hit with a Jarrett clothesline, Jarrett covers Tornado for a very close three count. Jarrett climbs to the second turnbuckle and hits a knee drop, he covers Tornado for another two count. Jarrett shows his frustration as he climbs the top rope, he waits for Tornado to get to his feet, Jarrett comes off the top with an axe handle but Tornado punches him in the gut. Tornado gets to his feet and makes his comeback, clothesline, clothesline, and a back body drop is followed by a pin which nearly gets the three count. Tornado locks the Claw on Jarrett, this leads to Hart climbing on the apron, Tornado breaks the hold and grabs Hart by his shirt, Jarrett sneaks up behind Tornado and clips the bad knee, Jarrett grabs Tornado and hits the Stroke, instead of the pin Jarrett locks on the Figure Four to an unconscious Tornado, with his shoulders down on the mat the referee counts to three to give Jarrett the victory.

Muta and Fuji Interview

Sean Mooney is backstage with Mr. Fuji and Muta. The duo take the time to brag about how Muta ended the career of Ricky Steamboat and if Davey Boy Smith isn't careful he could join Steamboat on the shelf.

Davey Boy Smith vs Muta w/Mr. Fuji

Davey Boy makes his way to the ring first to a decent ovation, Fuji leads Muta to the ring to a lot of heat from fans especially because he took Steamboat out, Muta is slow and methodical while Smith seems antsy to get this match going. Smith starts up a clap and the fans follow along. Muta and Fuji motion for them to quiet down but they clap louder. They lock up and Smith pushes Muta. Muta goes flying from the middle of the ring to the opposite corner. He shakes his head and gets back to his feet. They lock up again with the same result. Smith flexes much to the crowd’s delight. Muta gets mad and charges Smith but only gets a hard clothesline in return. Muta bails to the outside for a breather in which Fuji gives him some pointers. Muta re-enters the ring and nails Smith with a couple hard chops but Smith gladly returns the favor with punches and adds a bodyslam. Cover gets two. Muta gets back up quickly but sent back down by a dropkick, Muta again goes outside for a breather. Muta is back on the apron and he headbutts Smith in the stomach, Muta flips into the ring in hits Smith with a martial arts kick to the ribs. Muta takes the oppurtunity to repeatedly kick Smith. Muta dropkicks Smith down and locks in a chinlock. Muta releases the chinlock and puts a nerve hold on the traps area of Smith. The crowd begins to clap trying to get Smith back into the match. He gets to one knee, elbows Muta in the stomach twice and runs off the ropes only to be met with a criscent kick. Cover gets two. Muta throws Smith to the outside where he whips Smith into the steel steps, Muta goes into the ring and distracts the referee which allows Fuji to hit Smith with his cane. Smith rolls in and Muta drops an elbow on Smith. More elbows to the back area as the last elbow is a twisting elbow. Muta climbs the top rope and hits a legdrop and covers but only gets two. Fuji yells for Muta to end the match, Muta climbs to the top rope as he comes off with the Moonsault, Smith rolls out of the way. The ref begins to count as both men slowly get to their feet, Smith gets the advantage as he lands a punch, another one, and a third which sends Muta down. Smith picks Muta up, presses him over his head and drops him with a press slam, Smith covers for a two count. Smith lifts Muta up for a suplex, he holds him in the air for a long time before he slams him down, Smith covers again for a two count. Muta gets whipped into the corner and Smith follows up with a clothesline. Smith lifts Muta up for the Running Powerslam, he starts to runs but he is tripped by Fuji’s cane. Muta slips out as Smith crashes to the mat, Muta climbs the rope and hits the Moonsault this time covering Smith for the three count.

Sgt. Slaughter vs Rick The Model Martel w/Tammy

Slaughter makes his way to the ring to a decent pop from the fans, The King slowly makes his way to the ring with Tammy as he soaks in all of the boos. Lock up and Slaughter shoves Martel into the corner before he plays to the crowd. Slaughter pounds some forearms across the chest of Martel before pulling him into a clothesline. Slaughter drops an elbow down across the chest of Martel. Slaughter picks up Martel and snap scoop slams him down. Martel begs off but the Slaughter isn’t having any of that. Slaughter hoists Martel scoop slams him again, throwing him to the canvas. Martel rolls to the floor, clutching his back. Slaughter follows Martel and rams him headfirst but Martel reverses it sending Slaughter into the ring post. Both men get into the ring and Martel picks up Slaughter and rams a shoulder into the ribs in the corner. Martel slaps Slaughter across the face. Martel snap mares Slaughter and goes right into a chinlock. The crowd is chanting for Slaughter but Martel puts his feet on the ropes behind the back of the referee. Martel breaks the move. Martel pulls Slaughter up and chops him across the chest. Martel double underhooks Slaughter and twitching double underhook suplex. Model poses before driving the knee down across the back of Slaughter. Martel covers but only gets two. Martel picks up Slaughter and Martel hooks Slaughter and hits a backbreaker. Martel climbs to the top rope. Martel leaps off the top, right into a foot in the mouth from Slaughter. Slaughter grabs Martel and rams him headfirst into the buckle multiple times. Slaughter throws Martel into the ropes hits an elbow to the mouth, Slaughter covers for a two count. Slaughter drops a pair of elbow drops and follows up with a cover for a two count. Slaughter sends Martel to the corner, he follows in only for Martel to move and Slaughter hits the ring post, Martel rolls him up as Martel puts his own feet on the ropes for leverage as he gets the cheap three count for the victory.

WWF Tag Team Title Match

Legion of Doom© vs The Eliminators w/Slick

The Dr. Of Style leads the challengers to the ring first to boos, Slick looks very confident. The champs make their way to the ring to a loud ovation. Simmons starts the match with Hawk. They lock up and Simmons shoves Hawk into the corner. Simmons clotheslines Hawk in the corner who crumples on to the mat. Simmons with a couple stomps and he tags in Warlord. They score with a double clothesline. Cover gets two. Warlord with big clubbing blows to Hawk’s back. Warlord slams Hawk to the mat and hits an elbowdrop. Cover only gets two. Warlord whips Hawk into the turnbuckles and charges but misses. Hawk staggers out of the corner and tags in Animal. Animal comes in with hard rights to Warlord. Animal whips Warlord off the ropes and scores with a flying shoulder block. Simmons tries to enter but Hawk punches him sending him to the floor! The LOD has cleaned house! Simmons, Warlord and Slick all convene on the outside to discuss strategy. Warlord rolls back in and thumbs Animal in the eye. Warlord scores with a kick to the stomach and a fist to Animal’s back. Warlord whips Animal into the ropes and catches him with a bearhug. Warlord slowly squeezes as you can just see the life coming out of Animal. Animal fights out but Warlord just clotheslines him and re applies the bearhug. Animal looks to be fading but again fights his way out. Animal off the ropes this time ducks the clothesline but they knock heads and they are both down. The fans start clapping as Animal looks to make it to the corner. Animal almost gets there but Simmons enters the ring and drags Animal back. Simmons gets the tag and pounds on the back of Animal. Simmons sends Animal off the ropes and powerslams him, Simmons covers for a two count. Simmons sends Animal into the ropes and clotheslines Animal. Warlord gets the tag and they pick Animal up and whip him off the ropes. They look to go for a double clothesline but Animal hits one of his own!! Animal crawls over to the corner and tags in Hawk! Hawk climbs the turnbuckles and clotheslines Warlord off the top!! Simmons breaks the count just before three. Hawk dropkicks Simmons and gives Warlord one, Warlord gets covered but kicks out at two. Hawk and Animal clothesline Simmons and Warlord over the ropes. The four men exchange punches as the referee is getting up in the count, seven, eight, nine, ten, the ref calls for the bell as both teams are still fighting outside the ring. They continue to fight until officials break them up.

Sting vs The Barbarian

The Barbarian makes his way to the ring to a little reaction from the crowd, the mood of the fans changes as Sting makes his way to the ring and Sting is pumped up. Barbarian gets the early offense by jumping Sting and pounds Sting to the mat Barbarian sends Sting to the ropes and clotheslines him. Barbarian puts the boots to Sting, he picks Sting up and sends him to the corner. Barbarian comes in with a clothesline but Sting moves out of the way. Sting chops Barbarian a few times, Sting runs to the other corner and charges Barbarian as he hits the Stinger Splash. Sting beats his chest as the fans go wild. Sting calls for the end and locks the Scorpion Death Lock on which forces the Barbarian to submit.

Main Event

WWF World Title

10 Man Battle Royal

Hulk Hogan ©, Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior, Tito Santana, Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect, Undertaker, Jake Roberts, Ted DiBiase

It is main event time, it is time for the battle royal which is for the WWF World Title. All ten men are in the ring as the bell rings to start the match. Everyone pairs off with another wrestler, Hogan-Taker, DiBiase-Santana, Rude-Savage, Hart-Perfect, and Warrior-Roberts, the ten men are going at it because the World Title is on the line and there is a lot of bad blood in the ring between all of these men. Perfect nearly gets thrown out by Hart but he manages to slide under the rope to remain in the match. Santana is hitting DiBiase with everything on the ropes, he takes a step back and lunges towards DiBiase with the Flying Forearm, DiBiase ducks as Santana goes flying over the ropes. DiBiase looks at Santana and starts laughing, this allows the Warrior to sneak up on DiBiase and clothesline him over the top rope. Now there are eight men in the ring, Roberts and Rude double team Hart as they have him on the rope, Hart holds on the bottom rope for dear life, Savage saves Hart as he knees Rude in the back and drops Roberts with a clothesline. Taker has Hogan down on the mat as he is repeatedly choking Hogan. Warrior presses Perfect over his head and throws him on the mat, In typical Roberts fashion he sneaks behind the Warrior, spins him around and hits the DDT on the Warrior. Rude and Roberts pick the Warrior up and dump over the rope onto the floor, seven men are left. Hogan and Taker are still going at it, Hogan is staggering on the rope, Taker charges him but Hogan back body drops Taker over the top rope, Taker lands on his feet and pulls Hogan over the top rope, both men are fighting each other on their way to the back, five men are left. Roberts is putting the boots to Hart in one corner while Rude holds Savage so Perfect can chop him. Roberts picks Hart up and begins to punch him, Hart blocks the punches as he makes a comeback, Hart hits an inverted atomic drop on Roberts which sends him towards the ropes, Hart hits Roberts square in the mouth with a dropkick that sends Roberts over the top rope. The final four men are Savage, Hart, Perfect, and Rude. The four men pair off on each other as they let off lefts and rights on each other. Perfect charges Savage with a crossbody, Savage catches him but the momentum sends both men over the top rope. The last two men are current Intercontinental Champion Bret Hart and former Intercontinental Champion Rick Rude. The two go at it for the next five minutes with both men nearly eliminating the other. Finally Hart hit a crossbody on Rude which sent both men over the rope, however at the last minute Rude grabs the rope as Hart hits the floor, hanging on the rope Rude slides back into the ring and wins the match, Ravishing Rick Rude is the new WWF World Champion.

Now I know whoever reads this diary probably thought Hogan or Taker was going to win but I always knew that the winner would either be Rude, Perfect, or Savage. The reason for the battle royal was so Hogan could lose the title without having to lose a one on one match. Plus with Taker and Hogan eliminating each other it continues their feud. Taker was never going to win because I don't feel he's ready to be champ and besides there's no way Hogan would job to Taker. Rude got the belt because Savage has been champ before and Perfect isn't feuding with no one at the moment, now Savage-Rude has just got more intense with the WWF World Title in the picture.

[Hewey]

Good PPV, I see the reasoning for the battle royal and I'm glad Rude got the gold. And I'm sure Hogan would rather drop the belt in a battle royal rather than losing it in a one on one match. I do like the way Undertaker/Hogan eliminated each other. Hopefully Hogan does lose to Undertaker the next time they meet. With Rude as champion you got some big matches that could happen. Rude/Hart, Rude/Savage (which I think will happen at the Survivor Series), Rude/Warrior, Rude/Sting (WM8 main event?) could all be great matches. Nice elevation of Hart too, Making him and Rude the final two men.

As far as the other choices, Savage would have made a good champ and he could have easily dropped it to Rude the next month or at the Survivor Series and I was hoping to see Savage win the title if Undertaker didn't get it. Perfect has been hyped for the title yet. He hasn't done anything since losing the IC title. No more Hogan with the gold is a good thing right now, He's fought like every top guy in the diary.

How will former WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan rebound after losing the title, we'll find out quickly as The Hulkster takes on the Power of Power and Glory, Hercules.

Fresh off his debut at Battle Lines Sting will face the dangerous Haku.

Jake The Snake Roberts will face the Birdman Koko B. Ware.

Plus new WWF World Champion Ravishing Rick Rude will speak.

WWF Monday Night Raw Report

The Rockers vs The Brooklyn Brawler & Bob Bradley

Raw kicked off with the dynamic duo of The Rockers in action. This match was like a blur, it happened so quick that it's hard to remember what happened. Shawn and Marty hit some quick double team moves before Marty pinned Bradley following the Double Fist Drop.

Yokozuna w/Mr. Fuji vs The Italian Stallion

Fuji led the massive Yokozuna to the ring for this match, Yoko is still undefeated in the WWF while Fuji has been on quite the roll as a manager, Yoko is undefeated, Muta took out Ricky Steamboat and Muta won his match at Battle Lines. The match was over in 30 seconds as Yoko picked up the victory following the Banzai Drop.

The New Champ Is Here

New World Wrestling Federation World Champion Ravishing Rick Rude made his way to the ring, Rude had a microphone in hand as he got into the ring. Rude talked about how he overcame nine other men to win the title. Rude went on to mention Randy Savage, in Rude's words Savage would never get a shot at the title. This seemed to upset Savage as he ran into the ring like a madman, the men exchanged blows but Savage got the advantage as he sent Rude over the rope. Rude stumbled to the back yelling at Savage as Savage yelled right back at him.

Greg Valentine vs Kevin Krueger

The Hammer lived up to his nickname as he basically hammered Krueger, after he pounded Krueger he made him submit to the Figure Four Leglock.

Ted DiBiase Interview

Sean Mooney was backstage with Ted DiBiase and Sensational Sherri. DiBiase seemed to be very confident about winning the WWF Intercontinental Title from Bret Hart tonight, at the end of the interview he managed to slip some negative comments in about Tito Santana.

Jake The Snake Roberts vs Koko B. Ware

The Snake vs The Bird, Damien vs Frankie, however you want to put it these two men with animals went one on one. Koko got some offense in as he used he quickness, it wasn't enough as Roberts picked up the victory following the DDT. After the match Roberts looked into the camera and yelled "I'm not done tonight" leaving the announcers to ponder the meaning of those words.

Slick & The Eliminators Interview

Mean Gene Okerlund was with Slick and The Eliminators who came very close to winning the WWF Tag Team Titles at Battle Lines. Slick said his men dominated the match only to have a countout save The Legion of Doom. Slick said that if LOD were any kind of champions then they would accept his challenge for a rematch.

Sting vs Haku

Last night in his WWF debut Sting defeated The Barbarian, tonight he looked to defeat the partner of The Barbarian, Haku. Haku is one of the toughest men around and he showed that as he took it right to Sting at various points in the match, however like he did last night Sting made his comeback and picked up the victory following the Scorpion Death Lock.

Paul Bearer & Undertaker Interview

Sean Mooney made his way to the boiler room of the arena where Paul Bearer and The Undertaker were at. Bearer stressed that Undertaker not winning the title last night wasn't dissapointing because he made sure Hogan didn't win the title. Bearer said his Undertaker will do what no man has ever done, end Hulkamania.

Hulk Hogan vs Hercules w/Slick

Speaking of Hogan he was in the next match against Hercules, Herc is a powerful man but he was no match for Hogan who seemed to be more focused than ever as he picked up the victory following the Legdrop.

WWF Intercontinental Title Match

Bret The Hitman Hart© vs The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase w/Sensational Sherri

This would be as tough of a title defense for Hart as Mr. Perfect was as two of the best wrestlers in the world went at it in the main event and neither man dissapointed. The two went back and forth each focusing on a particular body part, Hart with a leg while DiBiase focused on the neck. Throughout the match DiBiase seemed to be a step ahead of Hart due to the fact that Sherri kept interfering in the match. The tables were turned when Tito Santana made his way to ringside, eventually DiBiase shifted his focus to Santana which turned out to be fatal mistake

as Hart captialized by slapping the Sharpshooter on DiBiase who submitted to give Hart the win and another successful title defense.

Good show, Glad to see Savage fighting over the title against Rude as well as The Rockers picking up another win. I'm hoping Sting gets a big storyline soon. Maybe with Jake Roberts? Anyways, Solid show. Looking forward to the next one.

In a rematch from Wrestlemania VII Mr. Perfect faces off against The Big Bossman.

The Chosen One Jeff Jarrett w/Jimmy Hart vs Barry Hardy

The show opened up with what is being called the crown jewel of all the men Hart manage, Jeff Jarrett in action. Jarrett is always cocky but after defeating The Texas Tornado he's ever more cocky. Jarrett wasted no time as he picked up the victory following The Stroke. Jarrett and Hart looked into the camera and demanded a Intercontinental Title shot.

The New Foundation vs Tom Bennett & Frankie DeFalco

The Foundation have been very impressive even since teaming up and if the continue to pick up victories they could be in line for a title shot, they did just that as they picked up another victory with a move they call the Rocker Launcher.

The Texas Tornado vs Spike Jones

Despite his loss to Jarrett at Battle Lines, Tornado has still been pretty impressive as of late, he didn't let the loss affect him as he wasted no time in beating Spike as he picked up the victory with The Claw.

Legion of Doom Interview

Mean Gene Okerlund was backstage with the WWF Tag Team Champions, The Legion of Doom. LOD wasted no time as they granted The Eliminators a rematch at the October WWF Pay Per View Showdown.

The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer vs Hillbilly Jim

In a match between two of the taller men in the WWF The Undertaker came out on top despite Hillbilly putting up a decent effort. Taker won the match following the Tombstone. After the match Taker hit another Tombstone and went for a third until Hulk Hogan ran him out of the ring, saving his friend Hillbilly Jim.

Jim Duggan vs The Barbarian

This two powerhouses collided and it was nothing but a good old fashion brawl, in the end it was Duggan who got the win as he hit the Football Tackle on The Barbarian.

Ravishing Rick Rude Interview

WWF World Champion Rick Rude wasn't in the building, he was at home as he did this interview via satellite. Rude was in a bad mood and the target of his rant was Randy Savage, Rude said he will get his revenge on Savage from last weeks attack, Rude also said that his first title defense will be next week against former WWF World Champion Bob Backlund.

Mr. Perfect vs The Big Bossman

These two men meet in a Wrestlemania VII rematch, Bossman dominated most of the match was unlike the match at Wrestlemania he wasn't able to win as he made one mistake and Perfect captialized by hitting the Perfect Plex to pick up the victory.

Bret Hart Interview

The Hitman was backstage with Sean Mooney, Mooney wasted no time as he asked Hart if he would accept Jeff Jarrett's challenge. Hart said he ducks no one and Jarrett would be no exception, he said Jarrett can get his shot at Showdown as Jarrett will be excellently executed.

Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase w/Sherri vs All-American Bob Backlund

DiBiase was in a fowl mood as he wasted no time in taking it to Backlund, Backlund didn't back down as he went toe to toe with DiBiase as an evenly matched contest played out. Backlund eventually locked the Chicken Wing on DiBiase, Sherri came into the ring and racked Backlund in the eyes which led to a DQ. Backlund focused on Sherri which allowed DiBiase to get the Million Dollar Title and waffle Backlund with it.

The Ultimate Warrior, Tito Santana, and Sting vs Fuji's Dojo w/Mr. Fuji

Before the match started footage from last week's edition of Raw was shown, the footage shown was in the locker room after Sting's match, the footage showed an ambush from Jake The Snake Roberts on Sting which left Sting layed out. The match itself was decent, no one could seem to phase Yokozuna not even the Warrior, however they made up for the by pounding Demolition as Sting made Crush submit to the Scorpion Death Lock to pick up the victory.

I liked Battle Lines. I understand the logic behind the battle royal and even Hogan and UT elimianting eachother, but I thought Hogan should have atleast been in the final three. The title change seemed a little anti-climatic, but Rude was a good choice and I hope Savage can take the title from him.

A former King of the WWF Randy Savage takes on current King Rick The Model Martel.

Number one contenders for the WWF Tag Team Titles The Eliminators face off one of the hottest teams in the WWF in The New Foundation.

Good Raw, Glad to see you make Yokozuna look strong in the main event. A feud between him and Warrior could be good if it ever happens. I'm hoping Undertaker versus Hogan ends soon with the deadman putting Hogan away. But I just don't see Hogan jobbing out to Undertaker. Sting/Roberts could be good as well.

Sting vs Kevin Kreuger

It's been said that Sting is looking for some payback on Jake The Snake Roberts, well Jake isn't at the arena tonight so Sting had to take all his anger out on Kreuger. The Birdman along with Frankie made his way to the ring, Koko didn't waste any time as he picked up the victory following The Ghostbuster.

The Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji vs Jamie Magnum & Kent Carlson

The Orient's have been rather quiet in recent weeks and tonight they looked to get back in the hunt for a tag title shot. The looked good as the used all their martial arts skill to pick up the victory.

The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart vs Greg The Hammer Valentine

A current Jimmy Hart client took on a former Jimmy Hart Client as these two men faced off. The Hammer controlled seventy percent of the match as he was setting The Mountie up for The Figure Four, just as he was going to lock the hold on, hart distracted Valentine, Mountie took advantage as he rolled up Valentine using the tights to get the victory.

The Bushwhackers vs Power & Glory w/Slick

Two hungry teams faced off in this contest, this was the first time in a while that The Bushwhackers have been seen. The contest went back and forth before The Bushwhackers got the victory with the Battering Ram.

Piper Makes A Double Main Event For Showdown

WWF President Rowdy Roddy Piper was shown in his office, Piper's agenda was to make the main event for Showdown. In making the first half of the main event Piper equated it to killing two birds with one stone as it will be Hulk Hogan and Sting vs The Undertaker & Jake The Snake Roberts. The second half of the main event will be a non-title match between Ravishing Rick Rude and Macho Man Randy Savage, and if Savage wins he will receive a title shot.

The Eliminators w/Slick vs The New Foundation

This was a very important match in the tag team division. The Foundation are undefeated as a team and if they beat the number one contenders for the Tag Titles that would put them in line for a title shot. Knowing the importance of the match both teams pulled out all of the stops, The Eliminators came out on top as Simmons caught Owen Hart with a Spinebuster to pick up the victory.

Randy Savage Interview

In some pre-recorded comments Randy Savage says the he will eventually get his shot at Rick Rude but tonight his focus was on Rick Martel, he said Martel is a tough challenge but he will be no match for The Macho Man.

Macho Man Randy Savage vs Rick The Model Martel w/Tammy

This contest proved to be an outstanding contest as both men put forth a great effort. Martel had an outstanding gameplan as he focused on the back of Savage which kept him grounded. Savage showed the heart of a man who was a former WWF Champion as he overcame the back injury and got the victory following The Elbow Drop of the top rope.

WWF World Title Match

Ravishing Rick Rude© vs All-American Bob Backlund

Ravishing Rick's first title defense turned out to be a tough one as Backlund gave every ounce of effort that he had, but it wasn't enough as Rude retained his title following The Rude Awakening.

Hulk Hogan & Tito Santana vs The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer & Ted DiBiase w/Sensational Sherri

The main event of the night had an blend of two kind of styles, the wrestling ability of Santana and DiBiase and the power of Hogan and The Undertaker. The majority of the match had DiBiase and Taker beating up on Santana, once Hogan came in he cleared house. Santana eventually got back in as Hogan was thrown out of the ring, Santana got double teamed again as this was enough for Hogan who came in the ring and waffled Taker and DiBiase with chair shots causing a DQ.

Monday Night Raw Preview for 10/7/1991

In the main event WWF World Champion Ravishing Rick Rude teams up with Mr. Perfect to face The Rockers.

WWF Intercontinental Champion Bret Hart teams up with WWF Tag Team Champions Legion of Doom to face The Chosen One Jeff Jarrett & The Eliminators.

Jake The Snake Roberts faces off against Superfly Jimmy Snuka.

Yokozuna faces his toughest challenge to date in Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Decent Raw. Kind of funny to see Hogan and Sting team in WWF and not WCW. A Sting/Roberts feud should be good, though Im sure you'll put Sting over since he's new and Im a fan of Roberts.

Good Raw, The next PPV looks good with the big tag match and Rude versus Savage. Savage is definitely winning the non title match and then losing the title match to Rude, Though it would be cool to see Rude win this one and then Savage get the shot somehow and then win the gold. Keep it up

Tornado wasted no time in picking up the victory as he focused Stanley to submit with The Claw.

Davey Boy Smith vs Iron Mike Sharpe

Davey Boy used this as more of a warmup match for his contest against Yokozuna at Showdown. Smith picked up the victory following the Running Powerslam.

Tito's Challenge

Tito Santana made his was to the ring, he grabbed a microphone and issued a challenge to Ted DiBiase for The Million Dollar Title at Showdown. DiBiase came out and accepted the challenge saying he would finish Santana off.

Demolition w/Mr. Fuji vs Spike Jones and Kent Carlson

Fuji led his other tag team into action as they looked to move up the tag ladder, Demolition brutalized these two men before picking up the victory following the Decaption Elbow.

Hogan and Sting Interview

Pre-Recorded comments from Hulk Hogan and Sting were shown. The duo said they look forward to teaming up for the first time, they also said they looked forward to getting their hands on Taker and Roberts as Hulkamania and Stingamania will run wild on them.

Yokozuna w/Mr. Fuji vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Fuji led the undefeated and massive Yokozuna out to the ring for his toughest challenge to date. Hacksaw made his way to the ring and he showed no fear of the big man, Duggan gave everything he had as he even made the big man stagger, but he could not get him off his feet and Yoko finally finished Duggan off with the Banzai Drop to pick up the victory.

Jake The Snake Roberts vs Jimmy Superfly Snuka

These two veterans of the ring collided, Roberts and Snuka contested a pretty evenly matched contest. The match came to an end when Snuka missed a crossbody and Roberts followed up with the DDT to pick up the victory.

Legion of Doom Interview

LOD was backstage with Sean Mooney. Mooney asked LOD about their feelings about their tag title defense against The Eliminators at Showdown. LOD said they don't intend to let their fans down as they win finish their rivalry with The Eliminators once and for all.

The Eliminators w/Slick & The Chosen One Jeff Jarrett w/Jimmy Hart vs LOD & Bret The Hitman Hart

This would be a preview of two title matches at Showdown, LOD vs The Eliminators for the Tag Titles and Hart vs Jarrett for the Intercontinental Title. At the times they were in the ring Jarrett held his own against Hart. The end of the match came when Slick distracted the referee, this allowed Jimmy Hart to throw the megaphone to Jarrett who waffled Hawk in the head with it and covered him to get the cheap victory.

Rockers Hype

A video was shown of The Rockers, the duo are working out in the back pumping each other up saying this would be the biggest match of their career.

Ravishing Rick Rude & Mr. Perfect vs The Rockers

Outstanding would be the word that would best describe this match, these men put on a terrific match that was high on fan support and quality. The Rockers showed no fear as they went toe to toe with the WWF World Champion and former IC Champion. The deciding factor was the experience of Rude and Perfect as the waited for a mistake and captialized as Perfect hit the Perfect-Plex on Michaels to pick up the victory.

Good show, The Rockers versus Rude/Perfect was like what? A ****+ match on EWR or something? Anyways, Showdown is looking great and I'm looking forward to seeing Hart versus Jarrett. I'm hoping Hart retains the title as Jarrett hasn't really done anything yet and it would be too soon for him to win the title.
