RAW is owning the pantaloons off of SmackDown! right now, I hated the idea to turn RVD heel. It wouldn't ever work! :P

And boo on firing Bischoff, I mark for Bischoff :/

WWE SmackDown! results for May 27, 2004

Backstage Segment

John Bradshaw Layfield is shown backstage with General Manager, Mr. Angle. Bradshaw complained about how John Cena treated him last week, but was cut off by Angle, who told him that he'll deal with Cena later, because he has bigger fish to fry. Then, in the mark-out moment of the night, Angle gave JBL the night off.

Doug Basham w/ Danny Basham Vs Paul London

-Both men put forward great efforts. London's knee was visibly hurting him, and Doug worked it over for the entirety of the bout. London made a last ditch effort at a comeback, but a Dropsault saw London's foot catch the referee by mistake. Doug and Danny switched positions, and when London went for the pin, Danny rolled him up in a Small Cradle for the three count.

Winner: Doug Basham

55, 78, 66% - **

True Samurai Warrior

-A promo aired for the debut of Kenzo Suzuki, which will happen next week on SmackDown! The promo focused on how Kenzo is the last of a dying breed of Japanese Samurai.

Is it a Commercial or Not?

-A "commerical" aired for "Gucci Jeans". The promo showed a man, from the neck down, bare chested and in tight jeans. Nothing else.

Latino Heat

-Eddie Guerrero stormed into Mr. Angle's office, and told him that last week, Paul Heyman crossed a line by trying to take out one of his friends. Eddie demanded matches with each of the three of Heyman's guys, but Angle told him to settle down. Kurt said that tonight, Eddie will team with Rey in the main event to take on RVD and The Dudley... and that at the Great American Bash, it will be Rey Mysterio one on one again with Rob Van Dam, this time for a shot at Eddie's WWE Championship. Guerrero looked dissatisfied, but agreed to the matches nonetheless.

The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer Vs Mark Jindrak w/ Theodore Long

-Jindrak did his pre-match routine where he looked at himself in the mirror, but the lights went out, the gong sounded, and when the lights hit again, Jindrak's face went from adolation to a look of horror, as he stared at the reflection of the Undertaker, standing behind him. Taker dominated this match, with the exception of a few Jindrak moves, including a big Dropkick, but Taker hit the Chokeslam, and then finished the execution quickly with the Tombstone Piledriver.

Winner: The Undertaker

75, 77, 76% - **1/2

Saving America

-Rene Dupree began his first 'live" segment of Saving America with Special Guest Billy Gunn. Dupree began by speaking about Gunn's accomplishments, and then showed a video of Gunn's history. Gunn thanked Rene for the showcase, but Dupree then began a tirade, saying that people like Billy Gunn, who would fake being homosexual, just to get press, are what is wrong with America today. Gunn took offense, and shoved Dupree. Billy challenged Rene to put his US Title on the line against him next week, but Dupree denied the request, and then made a verbal cheapshot, saying that he doesn't wrestle "has-beens". Gunn attacked Dupree, and sent him to the outside of the ring. Dupree grabbed his belt, and then told Gunn that he had his match next week, but it would be non-title.

Xtreme

-Another "Xtreme" video is played, this week saying "Xtreme isn't just a style..it's a way of life."

Billy Kidman Vs Jamie Noble Vs Nunzio

-Noble and Nunzio double teamed Kidman for the majority of the match, but Nunzio tried to pin Kidman following a double team Powerbomb on Billy, only to have Jamie Noble pull him off, and then slap the taste right out of his mouth. Kidman attacked Nunzio from behind, which caused Nunzio to hit Noble, who then fell out of the ring. Kidman rolled Nunzio up, but only got a two count. Nunzio went for the Arriverderci, but Kidman crotched him on the ropes, only to get caught with a boot to the gut, followed by the Tiger Driver from Noble to end the match.

Winner: Jamie Noble

63, 87, 75% - ***

A Man and His Stud

-Rico is shown giggling backstage with Miss Jackie. Rico handed Jackie a makeup bag, and told her that this would be hilarious. Charlie Haas was shown from behind, waking up from a nap on a bench in the locker room. Rico asked how he felt, and Charlie turned to face the camera, exposing makeup on his face. Haas said that he felt great, then got up and walked to the door, but just as he was opening the door, the Dudley Boyz and Paul Heyman burst in. D-Von and Bubba laughed at Haas, who told them that they're laughing this week, but next week, when they face them for the titles, they'd better be prepared, because Haas and Rico are a force to be reckoned with. Haas just left the room, with Rico and Jackie in towe, without even knowing that he had makeup on his face.

Tricksy Hobbitses

-Mordecai stood in the center of the ring, and he "summoned" the Undertaker to the ring. The gong hit, and the lights went out...but Mordecai screamed "LIGHT" and the lights came back on as the Undertaker stood dumbfounded in the middle of the aisle. Mordecai and Taker had a brief staredown, until Booker T ran out from behind with a steel chair and beat Taker down. Book continued to beat Taker with the chair, and then ran off as Mordecai disappeared through the crowd...but Taker sat up, with a pissed off look on his face.

Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero Vs Rob Van Dam and The Dudley w/ Paul Heyman

-Bubba Ray teased being RVD's partner, but D-Von attacked Rey from behind to start the match. Both teams went back and forth, with D-Von using his strength advantage to ground both Eddie and Rey, and allow RVD to employ a hit and tag out tactic. Eddie caught RVD on a Split Legged Moonsault attempt, and hit an Inverted DDT out of the corner for a two count. Eddie tagged in Rey, who caught RVD with the 619, and then hit D-Von with one too, but Bubba Ray attacked Mysterio, causing the DQ. Bubba and Eddie brawled, while D-Von and RVD double teamed on Rey... that is, until John Cena ran down with a steel chain wrapped around his fist and chased off the heels to end the show.
