- JR & ‘The Coach’ welcome us to the final February edition of RAW, and promise us an excellent night of wrestling!

- We go backstage to find Triple H sitting on his lockeroom bench, putting on his boots. Stephanie McMahon steps into view and Hunter looks up, giving his wife a dirty look. Almost crying, Steph pleads for forgiveness after unintentionally sliding Kurt Angle the Sledgehammer last week. Hunter says that, because she’s his wife he’ll have to forgive her – but she’d better stay out of his way from now on. HHH leaves the lockeroom leaving Stephanie on her own, wiping tears away from her face.

- Undertaker def. Billy Kidman via Countout

“The American Badass” makes his way to the ring and takes a microphone, issuing an open challenge to anyone who dared to step into ‘his yard’. He says that he took Tajiri out before No Way Out, and he wants another victim. This brings out Billy Kidman who enthusiastically charges the ring, but gets knocked down with a big right hand from the Deadman. Billy pops back up but gets grabbed round the throat, although he manages to avoid the Chokeslam by booting ‘Taker repeatedly in the knee. Billy bounces off the ropes but eats boot before rolling to the outside, with Big Evil in hot pursuit. Taker whips Kidman into the guardrail before putting him in the crowd with a Clothesline, and then quickly drags him back over. Taker picks Kidman up into a Spinebuster position before repeatedly ramming Billy’s back into the turnbuckle post, before letting him drop to the floor like a ragdoll. ‘Taker raises a clenched fist into the air before grabbing Billy and dragging him in front of the Spanish announcers table, placing Kidman’s head between his legs. JR pleads with ‘Taker not to do it, but it doesn’t stop him as he sends Kidman crashing through the table with his Last Ride! ‘Taker slides back into the ring and drags the referee with him, telling him to start counting. Reluctantly the referee does so, eventually reaching ten. ‘Taker picks p an impressive win via Countout over Billy Kidman, who remains motionless on the floor. **½

- As EMT’s and referees cart Kidman backstage into a waiting ambulance, a video for the new World order plays on the Titantron. Chris Jericho’s turn on The Rock is highlighted imparticular, with the videos style identical to those from their WCW inception.

- Tommy Dreamer def. Bradshaw via Pinfall, and RETAINS Hardcore Title

Bradshaw, one half of the APA, makes his way to the ring to take on Tommy Dreamer for the WWF Hardcore Title. Dreamer comes out equipped with a garbage bin full of Hardcore items and his trademark Singapore Cane, placing that in the corner as he empties the plunder in the center of the ring. Bradshaw is busy discussing something with the referee, allowing Dreamer to attack him with a car number plate, smashing it down into the top of Bradshaw’s skull. Dreamer throws the number plate aside and pulls Bradshaw up, before throwing him to the outside. Dreamer grabs Bradshaw and tosses him to the outside, following close behind. The two brawl around the ring with both using Dreamer’s weapons, before the Hardcore Champion gets hold of his Singapore Cane and wraps it around Bradshaw’s head! It’s relatively plain sailing from this point onwards, with Dreamer eventually getting the win after a Dreamer Driver followed up with the Dreamer DDT. **

- We go to the back where Kevin Kelly is standing with Chavo Guerrero Junior, whose Cruiserweight Title is proudly slung over his shoulder. Kelly asks Chavo what he feels about his upcoming 3v3 tag match, and Chavo seems unconcerned. He says that he’s beaten Danielson before, and he’ll beat him – and the two misfits he chooses as his partners before walking off.

- Chavo Guerrero, Christian and Honest John all make their separate entrances, before Bryan Danielson makes his. His first partner is none other than DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE, who receives a good pop from the crowd. However, Danielson’s second partner gets a massive ovation, as EDGE energetically makes his entrance!

- Danielson/DDP/Edge def. Chavo/Christian/John

Faces attack the heels and clear the ring, before Edge flies through the ropes and takes all three out with a tope! He rolls Christian into the ring where DDP and Danielson begin to double-team him, before the referee finally regains order. DDP remains in the ring with Christian but gets put on the back foot with a poke to the eye from the European Champion, before Christian goes for a rollup WITH tights for a two. Christian brings in Honest John whilst Edge gets tagged in, and the two lock up in the middle of the ring. Headlock from John, pushed into the ropes by Edge and both go for a shoulderblock – but both cancel each other out. They go for another one but John goes to ground and Edge goes to hop over – but John grabs his boot and trips him up. Half Boston Crab applied by John, but Edge gets to the ropes. John continues to stomp on Edge’s back before bringing Chavo in, who continues to work on Edge’s back and hits a Vertical Suplex before a high-angled backdrop. The match continues in this fashion with Chavo, Christian and Honest John working over Edge’s back, before the Intercontinental Champ finally manages to bring in Danielson! It’s not long before all hell breaks loose, with DDP and the recently recovered Edge getting involved, as all six men are in the ring at once. DDP nails Christian with a the Diamond Cutter to take him out of the ring, only to have his head almost snapped off with a nasty Discus Lariat from Honest John! John turns around into a SPEAR from Edge, who is in turn nailed with a Low Blow by Chavo Guerrero! The referee completely missed it as he was concentrating on the fallen competitors, as Chavo climbs to the top rope and hits the Frog Splash on Edge! Chavo makes the cover; 1… 2… Danielson breaks up the count! Chavo goes for a Clothesline but Danielson counters it with a Drop Toe Hold, and quickly locks in the Cattle Mutilation Submission! Chavo tries to hold on but eventually gives up, and Danielson gets a 1 on 1 match with Chavo at WrestleMania! ***¼

- A shot of a black stretched-limousine pulling up into the parking lot, but we cut back to the arena before we find out who’s inside.

- Crash Holly began to make his way to the ring, but is attacked on the ramp by THE BIG SHOW! The giant tears into poor Holly, slamming him down onto the steel. Show shows his awesome strength as he military press slams Crash into the ring, before grabbing a steel chair and stepping into the ring. As Crash is getting to his feet, Show grabs him round the throat and plants him with a hellacious Chokeslam! Show isn’t finished yet though, as he places the chair around the throat of Holly and then sends him flying into the turnbuckle, crushing his windpipe! As officials come to help Crash backstage, Show gets on the mike and simply says that he was defeated at No Way Out, but from now on, he’s going to be the dominant force he should be.

- The new World order makes their way down to the ring, passing Crash and laughing at him as they do so. Jericho is at the front of the group smiling widely as he displays his Undisputed Titles. Jericho takes a microphone and runs down the crowd, before turning his attention to WrestleMania. Jericho says that now he has to face Kurt Angle, because Triple H choked and lost his shot. Jericho then runs down Angle, saying that whilst Kurt may be an Olympic Gold Medallist, Y2J has been the only Undisputed Champion! Jericho hands the mike over to Savage, who begins insulting The Rock. This brings out Ric Flair, who tells the nWo that they don’t run the WWF – Ric Flair does! And with that, he makes a match that pits Scott Hall & Kevin Nash up against The Rock and Triple H… NEXT! Oh, and one more thing – the new World order is banned from ringside, otherwise Chris Jericho is stripped of his title!

- Kevin Nash & Scott Hall def. The Rock & Triple H

Nash and Hall both looked very disgruntled as their stable-mates left the arena, before The Rock and Triple H made their way to the ring. JR notes that Hunter is without his wife tonight, after she cost him his WrestleMania title shot last week. Rocky and Hunter rush the ring causing Hall and Nash to run off scared, but they eventually re-enter the ring. Hall and Rocky start, with Hall overpowering Rock at first but the People’s Champion fights back, sending Hall packing with his spit-punch combo! Hall tags in Nash whilst Rock brings in Hunter, who squared up to his one-time best friend. They exchange punches before Nash rams a knee into the ribs of Hunter, before forcing him back into the corner and choking him out! He rams a couple of elbows into HHH’s face and then Irish Whips him into the ropes, catching him with a Big Boot! Hall and Nash continue to isolate Hunter in the corner, before The Game finally gets the hot tag to The Rock! Rocky enters the ring and starts cleaning house, planting Hall with a Spinebuster! It looks like The Rock is going for the People’s Elbow but Nash goes for a Big Boot, but Rocky ducks and Nash inadvertently hits the referee! The Rock stalks Nash as before setting him up for The Rock Bottom, but Nash counters out of it and then nails Rock with the Jackknife Powerbomb! Nash smiles cockily as he faces the crowd, only to get spun round and caught with the Pedigree! Hunter slowly gets to his feet but is still feeling the effects of his earlier beating, as STEPHANIE MCMAHON rushes down to the ring. She begins checking on Hunter, when suddenly Kurt Angle slides into the ring behind The Game – but Steph doesn’t do anything. Suddenly, Steph slaps Hunter across the face two times, before pushing him back into an Angle Slam! JR is having an aneurism as Steph and Kurt trash talk Triple H, before dragging Kevin Nash on top of him! Kurt revives the referee, who slowly makes the cover; 1… 2… 3! Hall and Nash pick up the cheap, cheap victory! ***

- As RAW goes off the air, Kurt and Stephanie raise each others hands at the top of the ramp whilst Kevin Nash and Scott Hall celebrate in the ring, before the camera moves in to focus on the motionless bodies of Hunter and The Rock.

- Michael Cole and Don Callis introduce us to SmackDown!, running through a list of the matches that have been confirmed tonight. To kick SmackDown off officially however…

- Kevin Nash and Scott Hall made their way to the ring, without Savage and Jericho however. Nash said that last week they proved why Vince chose them as the cancer to kill the WWF. Last week, they defeated two of the WWF’s top stars without even breaking a sweat. This brought our Ric Flair, who didn’t look very happy at all. Flair says that it’s funny, because it looked like Nash and Hall were about to lose the match, until Kurt Angle got involved. Because of that, Flair has decided to give The Rock another pop, although he has other plans for Hunter. So at WrestleMania, it’s gonna’ be Kevin Nash and Scott Hall taking on The Rock, and a surprise tag team partner of his choosing! Flair “Whoo’s!” before heading to the back, leaving Nash & Hall looking extremely upset.

- Honest John def. The Hurricane via Pinfall

Honest John competes in his first WWF singles match, taking on the resident superhero; The Hurricane. Exchange of holds to start with John applying a wristlock, but Hurricane reverses into one of his own. John forces him to break it by pulling the hair, before thumbing him in the eye to gain the advantage. Whips into the ropes followed by a Powerslam for a two count. Irish Whip is reversed but John slides out of the ring, so Hurricane takes him down with a Cross Body to the outside! The two brawl around before Hurricane slides him back into the ring and charges at John, but he gets hung up on the top rope with a hot shot from John. Hurricane bounces off and turns straight into a BIG Discus lariat from John which flips Hurricane over, before a Piledriver finished Hurricane off. ****

- Vince McMahon is shown arriving at the arena in a limousine, backed up by Vader! As SmackDown! cuts to a commercial break Vince and Vader are heading towards the arena..

- We come back to the show and Rikishi is making his way to the ring, but VADER attacks him from behind! Vader punches and kicks Rikishi towards the ring before sliding him in, before grabbing a chair and following the Samoan. Vader sends Rikishi into the ropes and catches him with a Spinebuster, before picking him up once more. Vader places Rikishi’s head between his legs, before Powerbombing him onto the Steel Chair! Vince appears on the ramp clapping, as he slowly makes his way down to the ring.

- Rikishi slides to the outside as Vince takes a mike, calling out Ric Flair. Flair is soon back out for the second time tonight and enters the ring, seemingly unaffected by the presence of Vader. Vince says how dare Flair treat the new World order like he did Nash & Hall earlier, he has no right to do that. Flair begs to differ however – he earned the right when he defeated Vince at the Royal Rumble. Vince says that it’s unfortunate that Flair still doesn’t know what’s best for him. Vince points to behind Flair where Vader is standing with a chair, and he waffles Ric in the head as he turns round! Vader puts the icing on the cake with a Vader Splash, before Vince gets in the face of Flair. He says that he wants a rematch at WrestleMania, with 100% control of the WWF on the line! McMahon says that he’ll wait until SmackDown! next week for an answer – but remember this; Ric has kids, and he’d hate to see them become embroiled in this. Vader gives Flair a Vader Bomb for good measure, before heading to the back with Vince.

- D’Lo Brown & Lance Storm def. Hardy Boyz, and retain Tag Team Titles

Another shot at tag team gold for the Hardy Boyz, who are accompanied to the ring by Lita as per usual. Storm and Jeff start off with Lance taking control, nearly getting an extremely quick victory with an Inside Cradle. Jeff gets back to his feet and the two lockup, and Jeff sends Lance into the ropes. Jeff goes down for a back body drop but Lance counters with a stiff kick to the face. DDT from Lance, cover, but Jeff kicks out on two. Storm tags in D’Lo who takes it to Jeff, pounding on him with punches. Brown whips Jeff into the corner and goes for a Clothesline, but Jeff ducks it. D’Lo turns and tips a charging Jeff onto the top rope, he goes for a cross-body but D’Lo rolls through; last second kick-out by Jeff. D’Lo and Storm manage to take the match by the scruff of the neck, before Jeff makes the tag to Matt Hardy. A brief fight back from the Hardy Boyz sees them nearly win after Matt hit the Twist of Fate on D’Lo, but Storm broke up the count. D’Lo and Lance defended their titles successfully after Storm hit a Superkick on Matt before D’Lo went up top with a Lo Down for the 1-2-3, as Lance kept Jeff at bay. ***¼

- Raven def. Farooq in a Hardcore Match

Raven came out to the ring and met Farooq, who is looking to give the APA some credibility after Bradshaw lost to Tommy Dreamer last week. The match only makes things worse for the APA however, as Raven completely demolishes Farooq from the opening bell. Raven uses a variety of weapons on Farooq before finishing him off with the Evenflow DDT for the pinfall. **¾

- After the match Raven takes a microphone and once again says he is out to prove why he’s the poison that will kill the WWF. An explosion at the top of the ramp marks the arrival of KANE however, and the Big Red Machine has a “receipt for Raven”, according to Callis. Raven is ready for Kane and he stands up to fight, with the two exchanging right hands in the middle of the ring. Raven goes for an Irish Whip but Kane reverses before grabbing Raven around the throat, but Raven boots Kane in the groin before quickly sliding to the outside – he’s had enough of Kane for tonight. Kane does his turnbuckle explosion bit, as Raven watches on from the safety of the ramp.

- A table is set up in the middle of the ring, as we prepare for the contract signing between “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Mr. Perfect for their Anything Goes match at WrestleMania! Perfect is out first, before The Rattlesnake makes his entrance to a tremendous pop. Michael Cole is in the ring to make sure everything goes smoothly, but the chances of that happening are slim. Austin happily signs the contract before sliding it to Mr. Perfect, who flicks through it. Sheepishly he signs it before standing up, and Austin gets up as well. The two trash talk each other before Austin throws the table aside, and the two go nose-to-nose! Perfect throws a punch but Austin ducks; KICK WHAM STUNNER! Austin gets right up into the face of perfect and gives him the finger, before downing a couple of Steveweisers and heading to the back! Michael Cole sits back at the announcers table and Callis criticises him for not doing his job, he should’ve stepped in and broke the two up.

- Kurt Angle def. Edge via Pinfall in a NON-TITLE match

The final match of the night is scheduled for Edge vs. Kurt Angle, although the Intercontinental Title will NOT be on the line. Angle, with Stephanie McMahon come out first, before Edge makes his entrance. As Edge is removing his jacket Kurt cheap-shots him and gets the match underway, firing off a few forearms to the face. Irish Whip into the corner but Edge reverses, goes for the Spear but Kurt moves and sends Edge’s shoulder into the turnbuckle! Kurt quickly grabs Edge’s shoulder and goes to work on it, scoring with a few armdrags before applying an Arm bar. Edge manages to get to the ropes but Angle has already done plenty of damage, and continues to work over Edge’s spearing shoulder. Stephanie cheers Angle on from the sidelines as Kurt dominates Edge, looking much more intense than usual. Later in the match Kurt goes for an Angle Slam, but Edge manages to slip out behind and plants Angle with the Edgeocutioner! Michael Cole screams that if Edge can make the cover it’s over, but he’s too busy writhing around the ring in pain clutching his shoulder. The two get to their feet at the same time and Edge goes for another Spear, but Angle moves and sends Edge into the ropes. Edge bounces back but Angle catches him and takes him down, before locking in Chris Benoit’s Crippler Crossface! Edge, his arm and shoulder having suffered tremendous abuse throughout the match has no choice but to tap, and Kurt gets the victory. ***¼

- Stephanie enters the ring to celebrate with Angle, with a microphone in hand. She says that she left Hunter because he didn’t appreciate her. Through his injury, she stood by him – she supported him. But when he comes back, he treats her like garbage. So she went out and found a man that appreciate her ‘talents.’ Hunter, you brought it on yourself.

- RIC FLAIR obviously disagrees however, as the beaten WWF president appears at the top of the ramp. Flair says that he’s tired of people ruining his Main Events, and Kurt and Stephanie interfering in last week’s main event was the last straw! So, to return the favour, he’s going to ruin Kurt’s WrestleMania main event! Instead of Kurt facing Chris Jericho, it’s going to be a TRIPLE THREAT MAIN EVENT! For the first time ever, the title will be defended in a triple threat in the ‘Mania main event between; Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, and THE GAME TRIPLE H! As SmackDown! goes off the air Angle yells that Flair can’t do that, but Flair simply smiles at Angle!

Heat

- Billy Kidman def. Shannon Moore

- Justin Credible def. Jay Briscoe

user posted image

- We’re welcomed to RAW by good ole’ JR and ‘The Coach’ Jonathon Coachman, before heading to our first match.

- Steven Richards def. TAKA Michinoku via Pinfall

Richards seems to have dropped his ‘imitator’ gimmick, and just seems like his slightly-odd self. TAKA gets a nice pop as he makes his entrance, despite waving a Japanese flag around enthusiastically. Tie-up to start with a waistlock from Stevie, TAKA tries to reverse it but Richards holds on. Stevie clubs down on the back of Michinoku before sending him into the ropes, leapfrog, Stevie goes down onto the mat and TAKA jumps over, but Richards grabs his leg and trips him up. Richards is in the driving seat as he begins to work on grounding TAKA by attacking the leg. Stevie continues to beat down on Michinoku before finishing him off with a Stevie Kick for the 1-2-3. ***

- Chavo Guerrero Jnr. makes his way down to the ring and takes a microphone. Chavo says that whilst Danielson may have luckily won a shot at the Cruiserweight Title at WrestleMania, you can guarantee that Chavo will walk out with the title still around his waist. See, Danielson has worked his way up the ladder very quickly since joining the WWF, and there’s only one reason for it – luck. But at ‘Mania, Bryan’s luck will run out, and Chavo will expose him for the fraud that he is. Suddenly, BRYAN DANIELSON comes running down the ramp and slides into the ring, ready to prove Chavo wrong! The two exchange a few punches before Chavo nails Danielson with a Low Blow! Guerrero grabs his Cruiserweight Title and lines Danielson up, before nailing him right between the eyes! Danielson goes down in a heap as Chavo raises his belt in the air before heading to the back.

- Perry Saturn is already in the ring when we come back from commercial break, as The Hurricane makes his entrance. He gets in the ring when suddenly; KEVIN NASH and SCOTT HALL come through the crowd! Hall takes out Saturn whilst Nash goes for Hurricane, and before long they’re joined by CHRIS JERICHO and RANDY SAVAGE! Nash nails the Jacknife Powerbomb on Hurricane before Hall takes Saturn out with the Outsider’s Edge, before the two are dumped out of the ring. Jericho grabs a mike and says that, in no uncertain terms, he is DISGUSTED with Ric Flair’s blatant abuse of power. Thanks to Flair, he now has to defend HIS title against two men at WrestleMania – two men who will both be after his blood. Sure, Kurt and Triple H may have had their problems but, quite frankly, they’re drooling idiots who will forget about everything as soon as they see the title belt. Savage takes over and continues to berate Flair, saying that if he doesn’t accept Vince’s challenge for ‘Mania then Savage will make him retire anyway. Suddenly, THE ROCK’S music hits, and out comes The People’s Champion! Rocky tells the nWo to quit their bitching, as he has an announcement. This Thursday on SmackDown!, not only will The Rock announce his partner for WrestleMania, but he’ll bring him to meet Nash and Hall! The segment ends with Rocky’s music playing again, staring down the new World order.

- Tazz & Spike Dudley DREW The Hardy Boyz after interference

A match that would help the two move up in the tag team rankings (although Tazz and Spike never technically lost their belts) started with a big brawl, with Lita even getting involved and hitting a Litacanerana on Spike! Matt went for a Twist of Fate on Tazz but he managed to put the breaks on and lock in the Tazmission, but Jeff quickly broke the two up with a dropkick to the back of Tazz. Order is regained and the match goes on as normal, but things degenerate into a mass brawl towards the end. Suddenly, THE DUDLEY BOYS hit the ring with Steel Chairs and assault everyone, causing a No Contest! Bubba and D-Von annihilate everyone with the chairs, before setting up a table in the centre of the ring. They drive Lita through it with a vicious 3D, before grabbing a mike. They say that the tag titles belong to them. They were screwed out of them, and they want another chance. ***

- Test comes down to the ring and says that he’s going to breeze through Kane, and continue to show us why he’s the baddest monster in the WWF.

- Test def. Kane via Pinfall

The Big Red Machine made his way down to the ring, and wasted no time and trying to make Test eat his words. The two exchanged right hands before Kane put Test down with a vicious Uppercut, following it up with a Clothesline. Kane went looking for the Chokeslam but Test managed to avoid it, planting his Big Boot straight into Kane’s face! Cover, but Kane kicked out just before the count of three. Test signals for another Big Boot as Kane gets to his feet, but Kane moves and Test goes straight into the referee! Test looks down at the motionless official, before turning round… CHOKESLAM! Cover, but there’s no referee! Kane gets to his feet and tries to revive the ref, but is nailed across the back by a steel chair. The camera pans round to reveal RAVEN brandishing the weapon, as he brings it down on the head of Kane! The shot doesn’t put the monster down however, but The Raven Effect DDT does! Raven leaves the ring and heads to the back as Test manages to slump an arm over Kane, and another referee sprints down the aisle and slides into the ring, counting the 1-2-3! Raven strikes his Crucifix pose at the top of the ramp, as a groggy Test celebrates his win. ***

- Mr. Perfect vs. Val Venis

Mr. Perfect began his WrestleMania warm-up against the ladies favourite Val Venis. Hennig takes control early on through the tie-up and continues to dominate Venis, even spiking him with a Piledriver and nearly getting the three count. Venis mounted a comeback and put Perfect on the floor with a Vertical Suplex, before heading to the top and looking for the Money Shot. Mr. Perfect rolled out of the way however, and nailed Venis with the PERFECT PLEX for the victory. **¾

- THE ROCK makes his way out to the ring to a HUGE ovation from the crowd, and he’s here to address the nWo. Rocky says that he’s issuing an open challenge to any member of the new World order right here, RIGHT NOW! Rocky waits for a few minutes before eventually, KEVIN NASH AND SCOTT HALL hit the ring once again, with Scott Hall ready to go!

- The Rock def. Scott Hall via Pinfall

Nash remains on the outside of the ring, and JR wonders how long it’ll be before this one turns into a 2 on 1. the two lockup to start, with Hall applying a side headlock. Rocky pushes him off into the ropes, shoulderblock from both men but there’s a standoff as neither one goes down. The two go again but get the same result, before locking up. Wristlock from Hall, Rocky reverses and then whips Hall into the ropes. Rocky goes down but gets a kick to the mush, before getting knocked down with a Clothesline. Rocky rolls to the outside and Hall begins to distract the referee, allowing Kevin Nash to get involved for the first – but certainly not the last – time. After Nash had slid The Rock back into the ring, Hall was firmly in control. He slowly went to work on The People’s Champ, and almost got the win after a Chokeslam to The Rock, who kicked out of the vertical press just before the three. The end came abruptly but pleased the fans nonetheless, as Rocky reversed an Irish Whip on Hall and then caught him with a Spinebuster! Nash got up onto the apron but got nailed between the eyes with a punch, before Rocky hit the People’s Elbow on Scott Hall! Nash tried to attack The Rock but got the Rock Bottom, and The Rock celebrated as RAW went off the air! ***¼
