I downloaded the original game for my iPhone earlier this morning and instantly fell back in love with it.

Aside from games like Sonic and Mario, Shadow of the Templars was the first "real" game I got into as a kid. I only played through it once, but I can still remember everything about the game down to the last detail. Brilliant art work, colourful characters, fantastic settings and a great story.

And Nicole .

I never played any of the others, either, which is criminal.

I just finished the first game on my iPad a few weeks ago. Amazing value for a Free Game (i think it was among the 2010 iTunes xmass gifts)... i hear the second one is not as good, but i picked it up for 79 cent so who cares.

It all sort of went wrong when they became 3D.

I don't think I've ever been so frustrated at a game as when you're in the jungle in BS2.

Broken Sword is probably my favourite non-RPG game.

The first two games were great but they went steeply downhill after that.

No, you could just reload your saved game.

It has sooo many great moments and lines. This is what actually got me into RPG games tbh.

Thinking about it Broken Sword was probably the game that steered me to into RPGs too. It was at least the jab to Final Fantasy VII's uppercut anyway.
