PS3 audio problems.

I been having trouble lately, seems mainly on Blu-Ray/DVD playback on PS3, every now and then the sound will stop for about 2-3 seconds then come back again. Got it plugged in HDMI port and have tried every different one, it's a new TV but has been working fine until just recently.

Anyone had this sort of issue before? Not sure if its the console, cable or what really.

I've had sound issues before - not the same thing, but I had to go into the audio settings and turn off Dolby Surround. My issue was with audio crackling though. Just something to try I suppose.

Hasn't worked.

No settings have changed on the PS3 either. The picture was crackling a while ago as well as just the sound. Pissing me off no end. Better not be the TV or the HDMI ports, couldn't be surely if it does it in every port?

May be the HDMI cable itself? They're rather cheap these days.. hell I use 2 dollars ones from the local Dollar Store.

I would say it's the cable at fault. You got another one you can try? Or as mentioned, they're dirt cheap from the right place. Got mine of ebay for a quid.

Managed to find a spare one, and it seems as though the cable is the problem. Thanks for the help guys.
