H.R. Giger has died

It doesn't seem widely reported yet, but according to this site, HR Giger has unfortunately passed away. I wasn't sure whether to put this is here or in the Lounge, but I think his connection to art in films meant it could go here.

The man's nightmares created one of Hollywood's most famous monsters. I'm not the world's biggest art fan, but damn, I liked how unique and different his stuff was. May he rest in peace.

Man, I adore the Alien films and the look of them was fantastic. This is kind of a bummer.
