I hated Tuxedo Mask as a kid. Dude threw a rose and then just stood around and was useless.

... ironically, my favorite was Sailor Mercury, who didn't have an offensive attack for the entire first season.

But he looked cool (well, for the time, anyway..) so it was alright.

I remember the episode where Mercury was playing a chess game....OF DEATH. Something about how every time she lost a piece, a part of her would become frozen.

Hellsing, Gurren, Code Geass, Cowboy Bebop, Ouran, Azumanga, NGE, FMA, FMP (all 3 series).....and I can't really think of anything else off the top of my head.

Otherwise you could go for Samurai Champloo (from the maker of Bebop). Or a little more retro with Martian Successor Nadesico, Trigun or Excel Saga.

...Does 2001 count as retro yet? :/

At first, its title ("She, The Ultimate Weapon") is ridiculous enough to make you laugh.

One of my favourite Geass episodes is on right now.

Specifically, episode 13 of R2. Jeremiah is a badass the whole episode through, and the last scene or two never gets old for me. Never. I love Lelouch's futile Geass attempts.

They appear to be comedy shorts, 'officially' made but just released online for the heck of it.

They should make a proper new series already. :@
