  1. Well it wasn't fire that stopped Hitler either, it was ZE BITTER KOLD OV ZEE RUSKI VINTERS, DA! ... oh god Godwinn's
  2. Oh ho, Elfen Lied is about much more than just tits and gore, although there's more than enough of both in the series. Epic mindfuckery awaits in the latter part of the series.
  3. Scorched Earth Tactics' "Grind Christmas" > all else.
  4. It was. Spoiler: Click here to view"Aww, fuck this. *BANG*"
  5. I'm sorry if this is not exactly what the topic stands for, but for news material I think nothing beats this. Shine on, you crazy diamond. Shine on.
  6. MOTHERFUCKING NILE! Sold-out show, which means that the floor was packed with rabid fans. Temperatures in the upper 40's Celsius and more sweat than pedophile at an elementary school luncheon. Nowhere to escape on the floor, everyone got banged up by the huge waves that rippled through the crowd for the whole show, and the band was having a blast. They came, they saw, they liked and then completely TORE FACES OFF. BLACK. SEEDS. OF MOTHERFUCKING VENGEANCE!

  8. http://www.musickum.com/omi/index.php5?username=Bushmeister' rel="external nofollow"> I am an open-minded asshole, it seems. Not surprised by these results in the least.
  9. Ichigo Mashimaro. It is sickeningly sugary and cute, and complete pedo-bait to boot. But yeah, I would recommend at least checking it out if you liked Azumanga Daioh.
  10. Those sex sequences would have gotten either really boring or really goddamn weird really fast. ... Thanks, now I can hardly stop thinking about it Just to throw something in stoke's face, what about Makai Senki Disgaea or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei? I'm sure the latter you've already watched, but the former might have slipped past, dunno. If you've ever played the Disgaea games or their relatives and enjoyed the humor, it's an allright little show to pass time with.
  11. "Support Our Troops OH! (Black Hawk OH!)" by Xiu Xiu is pretty goddamn depressing.
  12. So, 2007 in metal? With me, it's so far Kronos, Pig Destroyer and Peste Noiré topping the list, with Korpiklaani and Pelican bubbling just under. Black metal had a great year with a lot of good French BM releases plus international favorites like Behemoth, but both Kronos and PD push just to the front with their efforts this time.
  13. Personally, I liked the album. But I'm not a HUGE black metal fan and thus didn't have much of a devotion to Mayhem (or the genre as a whole) to be disappointed, so I can kinda see the die-hards being pissed off about it.
  14. This one has been long overdue, ever since the days I slapped your WAR diary onto my sig -

You've done a throughtly great job with your diaries, and they have been a great pleasure for me to read. Please continue with the excellent job you have been doing.

  15. I think that the cover for Marduk's "Panzer Division Marduk" is the best CD cover of all time. Why? Because while it is not the best-designed album cover of all time, it is the one with most raw emotion and expression in it. Sure, the sidenote made of a stream of bullets isn't really that impressive, even though the band logo does break up the monotony somewhat. But the dominating force of the picture is a big fucking tank, ready to fire, the barrel poised just above your head. Think about that. You know it's going to fire, and you know the noise is going to be infernal, and you just tense up, waiting for that moment when the cannon goes BOOOM and your eardrums shatter. The greatest cover, in my opinion.
  16. Off the top of my head, I only know of the new Gengis Tron and Belphegor discs in early '08 and a Korpiklaani release "somewhere down the line". Meshuggah are supposed to be releasing a new album as well, but I haven't heard any news on it for a while. It was supposed to come out this fall, but seems to have been postponed without much fuss. On a side note, where the hell is my Pelican DVD >:/
  17. To lump in more bands that could have relation to what you could be looking for: Cult Of Luna Isis Callisto Russian Circles The Fucking Champs Sólstafir Also, Om is fuck-awesome drone/stoner music.

The Hives - "See Through Head" 9. Melechesh - "Gyroscope" 10. Judas Iscariot - "Our Sons Shall Rule An Empire By The Sea"
