  1. His government name isn't Cassidy. I believe it's Barry Reese or something similar. As far as what it stems from, supposedly Cassidy and two others opened fire on a group of three men. One of those men died, the other two went into the hospital for less severe gun wounds. All this was back on April 15th.
  2. They may end up splitting time, or splitting up the dates even, all he really confirmed is that he'd definately be on the Anger Management tour spinning.
  3. For those wondering who was going to replace Green Lantern on the Anger Management tour, wonder no more. While I haven't seen any official announcement, and some of you may have seen something I didn't (in which case, feel free to tell me to shut up), DJ Salam-Wreck just confirmed that he will be on the Anger Management tour. This is a big opportunity for him to cement his name in people's minds and hopefully it works out.
  4. I don't like Lil Jon, though he does bring a lot of energy to the show. And I really hate that Lantern isn't going to be a part of it. I'm hoping they at least fix that and work out a deal to bring him along. If 50 and Em each do a 40 minute set, it'd be worth it.
  5. Edit: Nevermind, I decided to re-install the whole thing.
  6. Most urban stations have a big summer concert, most also use the name Summer Jam. They're not interlinked in any way. Actually, the one we had here in Denver on Saturday was supposed to be headlined by Game. He no-showed, so Busta Rhymes extended his set and ended the show. The odd thing is that across town, Yukmouth was in town with Devin the Dude. I'm not a Yuk fan, but I went to the show because we had access and were supposed to do an interview. He spent the entire set bullshittin about Game, about "Gay-Unit", about Eminem being gay, etc, etc, etc. He was also an asshole, though the rest of the Regime seemed cool enough, just Yuk couldn't get over himself. Anyway, that started speculation that Game didn't show up because he didn't want to be in the same city as Yuk, yadda yadda whatever. Just wanted to share the story because I always find it interesting to read about other's experiences, figure someone else may find this interesting.
  7. It's sad to think of such a great player having to sell off his own memorabilia just to survive and pay the hospital bills. The way the league treated Mikan is ridiculous and if they ever do change the pre-1965 pension policy, it'll be a shame that they did it AFTER Mikan passed on.
  8. Larry Brown's not the greatest personnel guy around, but what he does do is draw in free agents, something Cleveland is definately in need of. He's also pretty good at scouting the college ranks to ensure the right picks. Blitz, you're relying purely on stats. Stats, sure, they're all close but Stackhouse did nothing to motivate his team, played shady defense, and wasn't a spark. Davis and Gordon both sparked their team and Davis, moreso than Gordon, helped on the defensive side.
  9. I didn't realize he was still in the top 10 rankings. Least, not the last ones I saw. So we'll get 6 years of Klitschko vs. Peter.
  10. I highly doubt there'll be any deaths. If anyone does, I think Rosseau'll go. If she lives, she'll end up spilling all her info on the island, which would kill some of the surprises. Logically, I think she can't stick around for long, although I see her vanishing back into the jungle as being infinitely more likely. And yeah, the wait for season 2 is going to be really rough. I love this show to pieces, and having to wait the entire summer without a new episode is going to kill me. Hopefully the DVD release will tide me over. ←
  11. If you think the heavyweight division's bad now, give it a couple years. There's only one fighter in the top 10 who's under 30 years out, Samuel Peter. While I personally think he's one hell of a fighter, he doesn't have the competition around him to get the credit he deserves. The old guys have to step down at some point and then it's Peter and...well...just Peter. That's when things'll be bad.
  12. The Snoop/Game tour wasn't bad. I know the stop here in Denver sold out fairly quickly and both put on great live performances. Anger Management should be the same, great stage presence. I know Lil Jon's opening up Anger Management out here, which is the only negative. Got the new Young Gunz and Common sent to us today, Young Gunz has a lot better production on this album, but no off the charts hit like Can't Stop, Won't Stop. Common delivered a beautiful album, with the only flaw (for me at least) being that Kanye's on 4 tracks. I like Kanye, but that's a third of the tracks on someone else's album. And a question, for Jimmy the Exploder, and anyone else who follows Papoose. I got put onto him through KaySlay, but have never been overly impressed. Do you think he can actually make it big? Having the backing of Kay Slay helps with credibility, but I just don't know about him. Maybe I'm listening to the wrong tracks? Just thought I'd get a discussion on it.
  13. Different arenas have different songs in the playlist. A lot of hip hop, always top twenty on the charts, new or old. And, just to add it in, DJ's don't get to choose what to play at the arena.
  14. Let's not forget that if these friends are like him they aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the box. Honestly....does anyone really believe that the friend had a job at Nike straight out ouf H.S. He was there because LeBron got him there. These people have no qualifications. ←
  15. If Leinart comes out, he'll go number one. Dorsey's chance to start is out the door with Erickson. Benson goes to Miami. Cadillac and Ronnie Brown split time and while they'll both go high, neither will go above Benson, who was the featured back on his team. CM, the draft is so deep, I doubt anyone's going to trade up too much. There's not a lot of clear cut top choices like there were last year. Browns take Aaron Rodgers, sorry Spanktooth. With Garcia bitching already, they'll probably look to move him (Chicago's expressed interest) for other draft picks. Chicago, hopefully addressing their QB situation via free agency/trades, take Mike Williams to replace what was lost in the Marty Booker trade. A gamble, yes, but could pay off. Caddilac Williams goes to Tampa Bay. He fits what Gruden's looking for in a back out there and adds an element of toughness. To me, Morency, even in the second round, isn't going to be worth it. If they go defense and Derrick Johnson here, then I'd look for Faison from Florida to be their choice later on. Tennessee's able to replace Miller on the line with Ferguson. Oakland grabs Ronnie Brown to re-build their running game. Arizona gets Derrick Johnson, my personal favorite pick in the top ten. Sorry Numbahs, but that offense didn't look too terrible. A lot of playmakers at wideout will allow McCown to continue his development while Shipp returns at running back, hopefully without Emmitt around. Washington grabs Braylon Edwards. Detroit beefs up the defense with Erasmus James on the line, possibly Dan Cody instead. You should never hope for Alex Smith in the first round if you're a Lions fan. If you dislike Harrington, hope for McMahon, he's a great athlete.
  16. Haven't heard the whole thing so don't know the context, but if you take it literally, it means he won't touch Mariah Carey because she's got a big forehead like Tyra Banks. Still, turn out the lights and they're both sexy as hell.
  17. Looked down upon? Have you seen the advance album sales numbers? When him and Quik go on tour to promote the album, I guarantee the ticket sales will skyrocket. Even Lloyd Banks on Thursday, as soon as he mentioned Game, the crowd popped huge. Just because you and your friends look down upon him, that doesn't mean the entire hip hop community does.
  18. It's a business. Game's CD will outsell Budden, Yukmouth, and Bleek, possibly all 3 combined. You can debate all day over who's better than who, but that's just opinions. The only facts are that Game will pull in more money than any of them, so yea, he won.
