  1. I think there's plenty of good, solid running backs in the draft. There may not be a superstar outside of Peterson, but there's guys that are gonna contribute and could put up 1000 yard seasons. Ramonce Taylor, Selvin Young, and Chris Henry stand out.
  2. Why would the Vikes not take Quinn? They're THAT confident in Tavares Jackson? C'mon. Gaines and picks to Detroit for CJ? Atlanta could still draft for Detroit and work out the deal for CJ, I just don't see him playing in a Lions uniform. Joe Thomas to Cleveland, love it. Now Cleveland needs to be the team that gets a steal in Troy Smith later on.
  3. And what's wrong with drafting an OLB? In a 3-4 system, Adams can play outside linebacker and then drop to DE on obvious passing downs. He's a dangerous weapon to have.
  4. I don't see them taking Thomas, I don't think it's a heavy enough need to spend the money that the 3rd pick covets on a lineman, not for the Browns anyway. And, to me, they can't afford to risk their top pick being injured again, which should scare them off of Peterson. Quinn is the likely choice, and the choice of ownership, but Crennell's been looking hard at Adams, he's been looking at a lot of defensive ends, so it's definately a concern of his. Just gotta wait and see. Shannahan's been offering 4 picks (first three this year and next year's first) to move up and get Joe Thomas, so if he's available at three, that should be an option for the Browns. I don't see how they could turn that down, but whatever.
  5. Adams isn't a 3-4 end? Why? He's fantastic against the run (112 solo tackles) and can get pressure on the quarterback on his own, rather than through a system. Not to mention, if necessary, he could drop 10-15 pounds and slide to outside linebacker. The Browns had ONE player with more than 4 sacks, that was Wimbley. Adams makes perfect sense here, it's just a matter of whether or not ownership will get their way and land Quinn.
  6. I won't argue that statement. A class act all around too. Definately will be missed.
  7. I've seen a lot of those acts already and they're definately worth going to see again. I'll be in Seattle by then, so I'll gladly make the drive down to San Francisco for this.
  8. Clearly, UNC were given 32 free throw attempts (to Georgetown's ten or so before the desperation fouling started) strictly because they're handsome and charitable young men. Clearly. Hibbert and Green are both fucking beasts, and I'm really anxious to check out that Hibbert-Oden matchup next week. If the Hoyas and Gators win...Hibbert/Green v. Noah/Horford? Damn.
  9. Not really...If anything, Plummer was benched too late.
  10. Chiefs, then the Lions. Lived in Detroit, which explains the Lions, but nobody knows why I'm a diehard Chiefs fan. Have been as far as back as anyone can remember, days of Barry Word and company, heh.
  11. It does give them that right. The fact that it's the player's body on the line, it's the players who put in hours of practice each week, it's the players doing the charity work, it's the players that make the league what it is. If they feel they're being taken advantage of or not getting what they deserve, they have every right to bitch just like any other employee. Have you never asked for a raise at a job? You just take what they give you and deal with it? This is a ridiculous discussion to even be having.
  12. Personally, I'm pretty high on the potential of Banta-Cain. Any reason you're not?
  13. Tim Sylvia vs. Randy Couture - Couture by decision Chris Lytle vs. Matt Hughes - Hughes, round 1 TKO Drew McFedries vs. Martin Kampmann - Kampmann, round 2 TKO Rich Franklin vs. Jason MacDonald - Rich Franklin, round 2 submission Jason Lambert vs. Renato Sobral - Sobral, round 1 TKO Rex Holman vs. Matt Hamill - Hamill, round 1 tko Jon Fitch vs. Luigi Fioravanti - Fioravanti, round 2 ko Gleison Tibau vs. Jason Dent - Dent, decision Jason Gilliam vs. Jamie Varner - Gilliam, round 2 tko
  14. Kerney and Ahman Green both have scheduled visits in Denver. Denver's also heavily pursuing Willis McGahee if they can work out the draft pick with Buffalo. Plummer's not officially retired, but it is likely. Apparently, he didn't like the prospects of being traded to Tampa. The original trade had him going to Houston, which he seemed to be ok with. I'll wait to see if he goes through with filing the paperwork or not.
  15. Bly to the Broncos for Bell and Foster. Great move for the Lions, picking up Tatum Bell (who is a playmaker, even though he's got fumblitis) and Foster (A very good tackle). Both players were in Shanny's doghouse and once you're there, you stay there (See O'neal, Deltha). For the Broncos, Bly could start depending on whether or not Foxworth beats him out. Makes for an interesting battle and a great nickel package.
  16. He'll likely just be back in Baltimore.
