  1. I don't think you can. At least not on the regular xbox. Last year in the NFL, 1 RB had over 350 carries. 1 season on Madden, 21 running backs have over 350 carries, including 9 with more than Larry Johnson's league leading 418 last year. Craziness.
  2. This is why there were 8 backs over 1900 yards and 3 over 2000 in my season. The back-ups don't get any carries.
  3. Randy "The Natural" Couture© vs. Gabriel "Napao" Gonzaga - KO, round 3 Josh Koscheck vs. Georges "Rush" St. Pierre - Submission, round 2 Joe "Daddy" Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino - Submission, Round 1 Patrick "The Predator" Cote vs. Kendall "Da Spyda" Grove - Submission, Round 2 Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs. David Heath - KO, Round 2 Marcus "Maximus" Aurelio vs. Clay "The Carpenter" Guida - Submission, Round 2 Alberto Crane vs. Roger "El Matador" Huerta - TKO, Round 3 Antoni Hardonk vs. Frank Mir - Submission, round 2 Thales Lietes vs. Ryan Jensen - decision
  4. Anyone else having simming issues? I'm testing out the Lions and even with the philosophy set at 50/50 for RB1/RB2, whichever back I have starting is getting every carry. Kevin Jones had 45 attempts in one game while Bell had none. And if I move Bryson to fullback (I have Beverly starting currently), he ends up splitting the carries with the starting halfback, but still nothing from the backup halfback. Just curious if anyone is having similar experiences or may have a solution of sorts?
  5. Any chance I could get those posted or PMed?
  6. Sliders don't effect the sims, far as I know at least. I did update my sliders, based on a set I found on some Madden forums that are apparently pretty popular. They made my game tough and I'm only on all-pro at this point. First time in years I've actually felt real good competition from Madden, I love that.
  7. What system did you get Madden for? On the 360 version, or at least in my game, neither Young or Vick passed 800 yards rushing. In fact, Vick had the same amount of rushing yards as JP Losman now that I look.
  8. And here's my first major problem with Madden. I started a franchise with the Titans because they seem to be a great re-building project. Sim the first couple games just to see what kinda stats'll pop up...Vince Young rushes for over 100 yards in each game. So I simmed the entire season, he ended up with 1900 rushing yards and 15 TD's. Things like that just kill the game for me. I mean, sure, he'll pick up some decent rushing yards here and there, but 1900? C'mon. So annoying.
  9. I had originally planned on having a 360 by the time Madden came out, but I still see people complaining about it for 360, missing features and such, so I'll prolly just pick it up for the regular xbox. The only complaint I seem to always have about Madden is how you never seem to max out on the cap. You can sign free agent after free agent and build a great team and still have cap room left over. At least in my experience. If I don't limit myself, it just ends up too easy in franchise mode sometimes.
  10. Yellow Journalism. Yeah, all that flimsy "grand jury testimony." Nobody is saying that Bonds doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame
  11. When exactly did JD become associated with failure? Going back to the Kris Kross days, dude's done nothing but made money. Da Brat, Bow Wow, Jagged Edge. He worked on Usher's Confessions album, the top album of 2004. He worked on Mariah Carey's Emancipation album, the top album of 2005. Even Janet's 20 Y.O. album at least went gold, which was disappointing because it's Janet, but still quite respectable in the industry. You can laugh at the ultimate success of J-Kwon and Dem Franchise Boyz, but both had chart topping singles that made good money. Even this year, he put in work on the new Bone Thugs album, including the Lil L.O.V.E. track that peaked at #17 on the billboard charts. There's a reason why his name is one of the three being discussed to replace Jay-Z if Jigga does leave.
  12. 13. I haven't heard the whole album, but we just released our first issue of country remixes and had Ticks on there, which is great. Also, I think I heard some song about choosing fishing over his woman, but dunno if it's him or not. If it is, that song's worth a laugh as well.

  15. Fifa 07' was the first soccer/football game I had played in a few years and I was blown away by the depth. 22 leagues with 510 teams was just insane, but that's what I look for in games. Plus the actual gameplay was fantastic, though I don't really have anything to compare it to. Definately looking forward to 08' and already put my money down to reserve a copy at Gamestop.
  16. Why? If the Lakers refuse to do anything, Kobe is going to want out. If he decides that he wants to go to Chicago and will veto any other trade, do you really think the Lakers would let Kobe sit? The Bulls can offer as much as any other team and it's a place Kobe wants to go.
  17. But isn't that unfair to the really bad teams who don't decide to tank at the end of the year and instead aim to please their fans? Plus the NFL has 16 games, the NBA 82. Teams have a much longer time to know when they're out of playoff contention and a much easier time to tank in the NBA than in the NFL.
  18. Damshow...he'll play. He's not about to sit out a contract, he'll play and keep his value up, he just won't be happy. And I dunno if I over-valued him or not. In cases like Portland giving up Roy, Aldridge, and the #1, yea. But I'm making a point that they don't have the right stuff to offer. Offering either Roy OR Aldridge alone isn't gonna do it, so are they going to over-pay or just not make a deal? I'd agree with you though, the most likely of the ones I laid out is Boston, but Kobe'd be in the same situation he is now, the supporting cast just isn't there. An interesting deal you laid out for Chicago, possibly the best I've seen yet today, though I think they might fight for Deng in any deal that gets done with Chicago.
  19. Trey's right. Mediocre and sub-par teams don't sell out as is, fans tend to be fairly fickle creatures. Once a team drops a level? There's no way you're selling out. And someone, I think it was Matt, said that teams could build bigger stadiums when they're moved up to the major league? Aside from the fact that stadium deals start years in advance, they are generally funded by tax money. Stadium bills already have a hard time passing in a lot of markets, it'd become near impossible to pass a bill with no guarantee that your team is going to be in the majors. Not to mention sponsorships and whatnot. And the TV rights that someone else brought up. Imagine if the Astro's got relogated and replaced by the Toledo Mudhens or something. All of a sudden, baseball's losing out on broadcast money in a top 10 market? That's a LOT of revenue lost. And if they do keep showing Astros games, there's going to be a significant ratings drop because the level of competition isn't there. No longer are players seeing Pujols, David Wright, and Bonds...they're seeing players they don't know. I like relogation and I think it works great in the rest of the world, but the US is just spread out too much in my opinion. I'm not an expert on a map of England, but aren't all the teams fairly close to each other? Whereas in states, if your team gets relogated, you might lose out on MLB baseball altogether. For me, if the Mariners got relogated, the closest team to me now becomes the San Francisco Giants, two states and 12 hours away. Hopefully, that makes sense, otherwise I just rambled a lot...
