  1. Apparently, I got confused, so nevermind this.
  2. Moats will be lucky to even get a Heisman mention.
  3. I presume you mean Griffin and not GriffiTH. Other than that, Koren Robinson won't get you too much and Crumpler's always off and on. Decent team otherwise.
  4. Definately make Vick available for trade. Portis wouldn't be bad since Joe Bugel's in Washington and he's an offensive line genius, but the star lineman is Jansen, who's gone for the year. Still, Portis'll be good for decent numbers. But if you just make Vick available, you can see who offers what. And McCardell doesn't want more money, he just wants out of Tampa.
  5. Jerry Azumah's undersized, McQuarters doesn't have the speed he had coming out of OSU and Tillman's still developing, although he does possess the best combination of size/speed that the Bears have. Brown and Green won't even get near Moss if they keep him on the sideline the way they should. And nobody ever dismissed Chicago's defense or their secondary. I said Moss should be able to run through them due to the match-ups. And I dig the Lions secondary, but is 5'9 Dre Bly going to shut down Randy Moss? That's pitch and catch football right there.
  6. I believe she was a runway model, as well as being an heiress (sp). She's fairly attractive, worth tons of money, therefore she got attention. She used that attention and turned it into a TV opportunity and now has clothing lines and perfumes and all that stuff.
  7. Some simple rules to abide by this year. Vick will not run wild over the league. He can't even grasp the simple west coast offense and has shown he's not committed to following the coach's philosophy. Way to create turmoil. Kansas City's offensive line is probably the best in the league. Priest Holmes will continue to run up touchdowns because of this. Third year recievers are the best gamble in football, there's always a handful of them having breakout seasons. The Dolphins will stop playing football and attempt soccer after week 6. They're that bad. Good coaches do not always make good teams. See New York Giants and Washington Redskins for details. Randy Moss. Look at the secondaries of Green Bay, Detroit, and Chicago. Nuff said. Match-up I most anticipate: Ray Lewis matched up with Kellen Winslow II. Oh boy.
  8. I can't stand Paris, but I didn't think she came off that bad in the interview. She showed a sense of humor, re-itterated that her book is a spoof on her life while Connan tried to make it seem as if the book was intended to be taken seriously, and generally held her own. Wasn't the greatest interview, but she definately wasn't carried. If anything, Connan tried to make her seem worse than she is by using the rules in her book.
  9. That would be one hell of a misquote. I thought it mighta been 8-Ball but it wasn't. Nor was it Crime Mob. Joe Budden's still a possibility.
  10. ESPN's got fantastic presentation and far above average gameplay. The franchise mode needs work, especially with the computer trades and consistency of weekly preperation. All in all, a great game, especially for 20. If you're a franchise fiend like I am, then Madden's going to provide a much deeper experience but will definately be lacking in the presentation. Both are good, just depends on what you can afford.
  11. I'm sure Madden will make a late adjustment and remove him from the game.
  12. He never wanted to be a professional football player and always hated the attention. Remember when he'd give interviews while wearing his helmet with darkened visor? If I remember, he suffered from anxiety disorder as well? I figured he'd retire young, but not this soon and not a week before camp opened. He was a great athlete, both football and baseball, but if this is what makes him happy, then good for him. And those playing ESPN football, releasing him from the Dolphins isn't "retiring". What you do is drop all his stats to 0, then release him. Nobody else will sign him and he'll retire after year 1 because of ability.
  13. Just because you prefer Montana doesn't make him better than Favre. And I'll go with 89' because Roger Craig was more of a threat out of the backfield than he was i 84, plus Brent Jones had emerged as a legit weapon to go alongside Taylor and Rice.
  14. The Lakers will sign whoever the Big Fish is next season purely because they're the Lakers. It's the same reason why the Knicks are always mentioned when there are big free agents. They talked about Garnett coming to NY, Webber to NY, Rasheed to NY, just because it's the Knicks. Syco, keep fendin' off the haters. K-Mart to the Nuggets, I'm happy because he's more than those first round picks would have amounted to, but it opened the door for Chris Anderson to split to the Hornets. Anderson was a high energy guy and a huge partier. I figure in New Orleans, he'll party TOO much and hurt his career. Ah well. As a Knicks fan (still hoping for a Knicks-Nuggets final some year), I'd welcome VC with open arms. Most people don't consider him a franchise player anymore, but he hasn't been happy in Toronto either. When you're not happy, your game tends to suffer. I think if he's put in a big market like NY, promoted, he'd step his game back up. The Clippers will always suck.
  15. So you dislike a league because it pays it's successful and pays it's athletes more? That's stupid. If you hate it because the rules are different and the action's not paced the same, then fine, but purely because of the money they make is dumb.
  16. Actually, the MLS is having quite a bit of success and growing nicely as a league. I'm not a soccer fan, but have been to some Rapids game and they make the experience enjoyable. As for the CFL, I've watched it, it's not bad, just doesn't have the same production quality as the NFL and I can't get into it.
  17. The abundance of lefties made it annoying for me. That said, college basketball games usually suck, so saying it's the best isn't saying much.
  18. "One of" "A big reason" He's always near the top, but never at the top of any lists is why I was surprised to see all his votes. I think Montana's a helluva QB, I just never had him even in the top 3 of all time. His Super Bowl performances is all that really stands out. But we all have varying opinions.
  19. Shaq OK's Deal Shaq ok'd the deal to Miami, now all they have to do is pull the trigger. Is it worth it? Miami's giving up a lot of youth that could have turned into a very competitive team for years to come. Now it'll be Wade and Shaq. Opinions? *assuming this all actually goes down, which is far from guaranteed
  20. Da hell is your problem? He doesn't like the game because of the gameplay. He obviously didn't like the game when it was on Dreamcast either. I don't think calling him stupid is necessary. Why don't you pull your head out your ass instead and realize people will ALWAYS have differing views. Accept it and move on. Back to the debate at hand...I've played Madden since the second one came out and this will probably be the first year I don't buy it. I'll rent both and see which one I want to buy, but it's definately leaning towards ESPN.
  21. All these votes for Montana....anyone care to justify why they're voting that way?
  22. No Ty Cobb love? And how come Tony Gwynn doesn't get mentioned? I know he does his thing on ESPN and as a college coach, but his name should come up more than it does with great hitters.
  23. Best freakin' hitter in baseball ever. Well hell then, why didn't you say so earlier? Case closed.
