  1. Russia did well IMO. They tried to wind up Spain with rough tackles, and although Spain didn't bite, they still managed to defend well. On top of that, they also managed to trouble Casillas, rather impressive for Russia, me thinks.
  2. And everyone thought Portugal will beat Greece before this match... I can see Russia causing an upset, seeing as how Spain has never really performed at major tournaments, and with Raul Bravo, of all people, in your defence, anything can happen.
  3. I disagree. Figo should not be replaced judging by the way he played in the first half. He was arguably the best Portuguese player on the pitch before half-time. He did falter away in the second half tho.
  4. I got a good chuckle out of Rehaggel tho. I laughed when the camera showed him throwing stuff in anger despite Greece being 2-0 up. This man is never satisfied, is he?
  5. Well, that was quite an upset I would say. Looks like Greece could be the dark horse in this tournament.
  6. Ronaldo hasn't been good in this match IMO. He is able to get past defenders, but his finishing touch seems to lack something. And Deco hasn't made much impact either.
  7. Ronaldo conceded a penalty, losing his balance more than anything I presume. Now, who would have predicted this scoreline before the match?
  8. Ronaldo and Deco in. Looks like Scolari is going all out to attack.
  9. Half-time now. Scolari needs to fire up his team. Badly.
  10. You have to wonder, how the hell can a defence with someone like Jorge Andrade in it look so shaky? That goal by Greece was mainly due to sloppy passing and defending. IMHO, the best Portuguese player at the moment is Figo.
  11. And I think he deserves respect from that. He plays football because he loves football, not because of money.
  12. Source Huge blow to England.
  13. Well, I've heard that besides renaming the Nationwide League, the authorities are trying to get more sponsors to bridge the financial gap between the Premiership and the Nationwide Football Leagues.
  14. Right now, it has to be Rooney. But it will probably change next season, with the arrivals of several great prospects like Robben, Cech, Van Persie, etc.
  15. I have one, and it has some good games (The pokemon series are one of my preferred games), but if you want really good gaming experience, get a PS2.
  16. Source Source Source
  17. I think Glen Johnson will probably be on the bench with Paulo Ferreira as the first choice right back. Source Looks like Mourinho is a very strict disciplinarian...
