  1. WHA?!?!?!?! madden is amazing to listen to.... granted you kinda have to have a good understanding of what is going on, as if you didn't know what all the different positional and formational names where you would think he was speaking russian lol
  2. You can go backwards due to penalties or bad plays, but you still need to get 10 yards from where the ball was spotted on first down. So a 10 yard loss means you now need to go those 10, plus the original 10 or 20 yards to get the first. So why will teams get penalties? Or punishments for bad plays? And what is considered to be a bad play? And how is it decided how much of a loss the team gets? And what consitutes a foul in this sport? too many things hahaha, being too "rough" to an opposing player.... holding a player off the ball illegally..... moving past the offensive and defensive line starting positions before the snap (when the ball is first moved by the offense).... and loads of weird variations... i ahev watched NFL for 5 years and still have problems with them lol The severity depends on the severity of the foul... up to the main ref
  3. I was going to ask of someone could give a run down of the NFL teams and rules in terms of drafts etc. I know a lot of US sports use draft systems....not that I understand them at all..... EDIT:- When they say, for example, "3rd and 4" is that four yards gained? Or four yards still to gain? 3rd and 4 means its third down with 4 yards required to get a 1st down fixed that for ya Yeah, thanx, i just noticed my embarrasing mistake A foul can send the side in possesion up or down the field, or if a player is tackled behind the place where the ball started the last play the start of the next play begins where the tackle took place so you can get ridiculous plays such as 3rd and 28 or something (I have seen this and probably worst before). The position for the first down is determined to be 10 yds from the position of the previous end of play position if a first down is achieved or where the return, interception, etc... ended if the drive is just beginning

  5. INTERCEPTION SEATTLE Getting better though, especially after that touchdown for seattle
  6. yep since it is all short and sharp action a lot of anaerobic respiration takes place, this causes lactic acid build up in the muscles which causes sharp muscle pain, this is what happens when "you feel the burn" the only way to reduce lactic acid is to break it down with oxygen, hence you inhale more oxygen by taking a huff out of the can to increase the speed at which the lactic acid breaks down..... especially after a long run like that 75 yd one just then
  7. on replays they should have picked him up like 3 times
  8. that was all about the poor defensive coverage by the safetys of seahawks
  9. yeah so do i , it has been all about the penalty descisions so far though..... except for that steelers TD hahaha, that was amazing
  10. If you other brits aren't understanding whats going on this link is useful for basics, but it is much more complicated: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_spor...all/3192002.stm
  11. mccartney last year is pissing on them, i am forgiving them though, since they are at oldage pension//welfare age lol last time they had multiple artists they had the "wardrobe malfunction" hahaha
  12. a quarter is 15 mins, with the first and second, and third and fourth with minimal break inbetween, however at half time there is a longer break, especially in the superbowl because of the half time show, the second quarter just finished
  13. only a few seconds left in the half, each time get three timeouts a half,on a use them or lose them basis
  14. every call is against them definitely
  15. finally i can agree with you lol
  16. not normally, but it is simply that both defenses are shutting out the offenses very effectively, and really both teams up until just now haven't really done much risky Roethlisberger is something special now, a couple more seasons and he will be absolutley amazing i am loving it being almost 1 am, and i am sat here watching this game drinking beer
  17. seattle deserve to be in the lead by more, but pittsburgh are improving damn should have been a TD for the steelers there
  18. am i detecting a note of cynasism ouch that tackle look painful
  19. seattle should have a touchdown though, the officials have been overly harsh so far
  20. Ok.... this is an odd one, but i think Paul Hasslinger's soundtrack for Crazy/Beautiful is amazing... it adds so much to the film, and I believe adds so much to the film... the feeling of being in LA, and the whole Latino culture, and the fact that some of the music is just haunting at times, especially the opening song, and the song where Kirsten Dunst is singing under the tree with her friends I also love most of the ones already mentioned, fight club donnie darko, etc... (Y). The score form the Shawshank Redemption is also haunting
