    Frank Turner

Love the guy, makes me smile, makes me think and generally makes good music. Million Dead were good but Frank solo is a thing of beauty. I also wouldn't read too much in to him playing "Dancing Queen" as I saw him do it in October 2005 as an encore in a really small bar in Cambridge when he was just selling demos he copied himself and had written on himself, I now have no idea where that demo is, but must find it!
  2. Wooderson have a demo from when they were 3 of them (rather than the four of them as it is now), its quite nice for what it is. Weird seeing as my late teen years were seeing two of them in a local band in Grimsby. Good lads, good times!
  3. I remember when DC was a rookie coming in to replace Ayrton Senna in 1994! Hell I remember Hill's first (full) season in 1993 in the Williams, I also remember Schumacher driving for Benenton in 1992 fucking amazing season with Nigel Mansell dicking on everybody, god I feel old now...
  4. Bollocks. Although Glock was on the wrong tyres, let's not forget that he was on those tyres for at least twenty laps before the end. They would've been incredibly worn anyway no matter the weather conditions. Also once the temperature of the dry tyre drops it becomes less gripy, which means you have to slow down, which makes the temperature of the dry tyres drop so they become less gripy, which means you have to slow down, etc... You saw how much it fucking bucketed it down at the end, granted I felt really bad for Massa, but was glad Hamilton won in the end, and I am glad I am not like 50 as I am sure that would have given me a heart attack by the end, what a fnatastic way to end a fantastic season, all I can do is ask for more of the same next year! Roll on Melbourne 2009, see you on the BBC! PS. Gutted for Coulthard, the man is an absolute legend in my eyes and deserved better in his last race than to be decimated by the 2 Williams on the first corner. Bye bye David and thank you!
  5. Look through the ravex's, etc... on EW inventory there is one as I got it from there (Y)
  6. OK, I love you just as much as dragsy then
  7. I fucking love dragsy! His talk of Cap'n Jazz lead me to American Football then to Sharks Keep Moving, best and most chilled morning ever!
  8. They have one album called "Burritos, Inspiration Point, Fork Balloon Sports, Cards in the Spokes, Automatic Biographies, Kites, Kung Fu, Trophies, Banana Peels We've Slipped on and Egg Shells We've Tippy Toed Over" or more commonly "Shmap'n Shmazz" which is not very available and is a major collectors item. The songs of that album plus a bunch of b-sidey stuff was released as a double-cd called "Analphabetapolothology" Best way I can put how they sound (to me) is a bit twinkly guitar, pop-punky emo with undeniably naive yet endearing great lyrics
  9. I love cap'n jazz and american football, you have now made me listento AF and want to listen to cap'n jazz but I can't find any on my computer, boooooooooo
  10. Awesome, seen them a few times always worth a bit of dance then a bbit of shoe-gaze, normally very tight and very good... Also, dead jealous you are seeing NIN, fucking love them live
  11. I forgot to mention the car that Kovalainen beat Schumacher in is an exact copy of one of Schumey's own Ferraris, that made me chuckle the most when I found out
  12. Foo Fighters in Hyde Park in 2006, having Roger Taylor and Brian May come out and do Tie Your Mother Down was epic, as well as Lemmy coming out to do Shake Your Blood which I was half expecting anyway, still it was tremendous
  13. FUCK OFF! Don't make asinine comments like this then not back it up, granted Heiki hasn't shown himelf to be a title rival at the top this year but he has been desperately unlucky at times and with a bit more luck would have been up with Kimi or Kubica. Don't make a sweeping comment and not back it up... Heiki beat Coulthard, Alesi a certain German called Michael Schumacher and Sebastein Loeb to win the 2004 Race of Champions, so to not say he is good enough to race a Mclaren is well... wrong... I for one couldn't give a toss what the FIA say, everyone is entitled to their own opinion in a public forum and I agreed with Brundle at the time the title race was being threatened by the investigation. The fact that Brundle is the best pundit around and always has something interesting to say means I am extremely happy the BBC picked up the man for next season.
  14. I wanna go to the one in Manchester on monday tho
  15. I was so close to getting tickets because of this. I just wanna see an M83 on a headline tour though
  16. Being both a huge Nirvana fan for years, and a pedant leads me to correct you... Marigold is actually a Dave Grohl song and not a Nirvana song. I did not get "With the Lights out" because i own the "Outcesticide" bootlegs, however having listened to "With the Lights out." I would say it is interesting with some pretty unique recordings and if you are a Nirvana fan just gives you more scope to listen to as it obviously widens quite a narrow discography (Y)

  20. Fixed (Y) I thought the entire race was fascinating as you really weren't sure who was gonna finsih where ad had the conditions changed Hamilton would have been upfront more, but either way keeps the championship interesting. The best thing I can say about Vettel is that you didn't see too much of him through out the race, he was so calm and great we had to watch the rest of the race for the excitement, fantastic drive! Cannot now wait until the night race in Singapore with early weather reports giving a 60% chance of rain, brilliant!
  21. 1st Vettel 2nd Kovalainen 3rd Kubica .... 8th Webber
  22. Don't think I have been so happy to hear the German National Anthem followed by the Italian Anthem.
  23. Probably because they are nothing remarkable To actually add something I am gonna say Mars Volta, loved the first album, liked the second, then afterwards i got so apathetic towards them as I felt they had no real direction with their sound, the same holds for their solo releases as well, I feel sometimes they are just playing wanky guitar parts fro the sake of playing wanky guitar parts.
  24. M83 always have weird vids, "Don't save us from the flames" is a fave of mine
