  1. Either the playclock was off or the refs gave the Patriots 3 seconds extra to call a timeout. I'm thinking I could possibly become a NFL referee.
  2. If the NFL doesn't penalize Wilfork for such a blatant foul I'd be very surprised. All I want out of this game is for the NFC to win the Super Bowl. I'm also glad that it's been a good close game despite the refs at times being dreadful.

    New Snoop Dogg

It's been out for a bit now, but the video might be one of the best to come out recently. A true throwback. Snoop Dogg - Sensual Seduction
  7. My current wish list for the Bears come this off-season: Resign Rex Grossman - 1 year contract, not given the starter title, and some bonuses to motivate him into having a consistent productive season Resign Bernard Berrian - has been a great playmaker and a consistent threat as a reciever. Resign Tommie Harris - has the best ability out of all our dt's. More PT for Garrett Wolfe and Mark Bradley - If a deal with Berrian can't be made Bradley is a guy I'm comfortable enough to step in as a 2 or 3 reciever. Wolfe will not be an every down back but will be valuable if the Bears want to implement more no huddle plays. Lance Briggs - The Bears must NOT trade Briggs just for any 1st round pick as we need , and we need to keep all of our picks for reasons I'll mention With these guys being kept/moved, or given more time, we'll move on to the Draft. This Draft we will need to address these positions: Safety O-line RB QB (late rounder who has good upside)
  8. No shit, 11 minutes in and we are going nowhere. I've been hearing Illinois is probably going to face USC, which makes me incredibly nervous but happy that we are going against some very tough competition.
  9. Maybe MLS should figure out some incentives for young international studs to play in the league to up the quality of play. I've seen some fun MLS games and think the quality has improved recently, but signing Beckham is still up in the air and I'd much rather see a young player who has years left who could literally light a spark in the game.
  10. A big problem is that matches are available to everyone. ESPN gets a few and then you have Fox Soccer Channel, which for Dish Network means having a rather expensive package. And, MLS can be pretty awful compared to Premier League matches, granted football isn't nearly as established in America. However, I think guys like Cuauhtemoc Blanco are bringing in some nice highlight packages and fresh foreign players (along with American players) could help the sport grow. It's just going to take a ton of time and will honestly never be at MLB, NBA, or NFL levels of success.
  11. Yeah, I turned on the game expecting atleast a three TD lead...but it's only 21-24 and the Eagles just got the ball back. I'll always root for the NFC team and especially when they are the undisputed underdog without their star QB.
  12. I'm glad that the team finally showed something during the end. I still doubt we'll do well the rest of the season but I'll take this game as proof that if our offense learns to play 110% each game there isn't a reason why we should be dismissed as inadequate. As far as OT, I still hold my position that it should be scrapped or that both teams get possession.
  13. This is exactly what we get for trading off Thomas Jones and having a OL that has just not been producing. Peterson should start for us (assuming that Benson broke his ankle) and Wolfe be the go to guy for bursts. If we end .400 I'd be surprised at this rate. Next draft will be crucial for us as we need someone for just about every position and should honestly be a more offense oriented.
  14. I am touching my nipple for you.

  15. There are ties in the NFL. I'm in favor of each team getting one possesion, sudden death after that. Ties in the NFL are pretty rare now compared to in the earlier years. My point is that overtime seems to be an excuse for advertisers and to make a winner out of a team (which if overtime was cut down would mean that there wouldn't be a winner based merely on additional time that is relatively unnecessary.) Um, the '85 Bears and '01 Ravens would like to argue that fact. WOW! You can pick out two teams that won on defense. My point is that most NFL fans want to say football is all about either the offense or defense, when generally speaking you need a bit of both to win the big games. Draws don't 'suck'. I've taken a liking to soccer because it doesn't add un-needed extra time to find a winner in the regular season matchups because the best team SHOULD be able to win without an overtime. During playoffs, it is an entirely different story. Draws could also make the games more exciting as a team wanting to have a 16-0 season realize that they don't have any extra time to fall back on if they are merely relying on a huge comeback (I am implying before the game, as mentality has a huge impact on teams.)
  16. After having my 360 since early 2006, I finally got the red lights of death. Problem is, I cannot find a receipt and if they need that info I may be fucked over. Atleast I'll finally have to play some PS2 games.
  17. I think overtime should be scrapped and it should all go to either a win-loss-draw column. I believe that taking out overtimes makes the 16 games more important than they already are and adds something newer to the modern way of the major professional sports in North America. In theory, overtime also gives someone an additional opportunity to win. My problem also lies in the idea that football is a defensive sport, when it has been proven (Chicago Bears) that a great defense can do nothing with an average offense. Taking away overtime also doesn't penalize an underdog from being able to stand toe to toe with a better team, and in some cases may make teams play a in-significant game as there will be no additional opportunity if the game ends in a tie (without necessarily being penalized).

    Hurt

So, anyone else listen to this band? I know they aren't technically great and may seem to be generic rock, but I find most songs intriguing and generally written better than most rock currently. And to make this topic more useful here are the recommendations I have: Volume 1: Rapture, Danse Russe, Dirty Volume 2: Aftermath, Alone With The Sea,

    Metallica

Technically, this should belong in the music category. It IS Metallica...a band.

  21. Sir, I respect your viewpoint but I certainly believe that your attitude is not befitting of an EWB poster.
  22. I am confused, I am American. What is Football UK? Is that some new rules American football? Please be mature in your responses!

    Down

So, anyone else listen to this band? I recommend checking out A Bustle In Your Hedgerow to get started. Alot of metal, country, and bluesy elements mixed in with Phil Anselmo.
