  1. Just something I had a brief idea on... I know a lot of people use different BG's for their cuts (kyky, RKY, etc) and thought of one that might look pretty cool, especially for use in early 80's scenarios. Feel free to try it, as I just made the backgrounds for fun: Like I said, just an idea I had, thought it might look cool, so figured I'd share. -Bill
  2. Gonna post this real quick, got some mean thunderstorms here, so wanna get links posted before the threat of losing power comes into play. Will be back later today, maybe tomorrow with comments and info. -Bill MegaUpload: FULL: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZS9ZMB8H DATA: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7JN02QU7
  3. I see a "Taichi Ishikari," but no "Taichi Ishikawa." Literally just checked again and looked through the alter egos. -Bill
  4. OK, wanted to post a few quotes and comment on them, while I'm thinking about it... In a couple of cases, getting some info ASAP might make it possible to get some of this stuff cleared up before the update is released: I did look into this. Priscilla’s real name is Joni Horn… Had a brief stint in TNA in 2002: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1750442/ I believe before that, she served as Jerry Lawler’s Valet… It’s been a while since I’ve read Lawler’s book, but they might have dated as well… Brianna Starr has a page on glorywrestling.com: http://www.glorywrestling.com/gg/BriannaStarr/BS.asp Pretty sure these are two different people. Maybe it’s me, but I don’t see this guy in the data…? I agree with Watts, he should stay an owner… I simply was using him as an example, where some of the other WCW “Presidents” back then (Bill Busch, Brad Siegel, Jim Herd, etc) are listed as owners, but probably should be either production or MAYBE Road Agents, pending on if they had any REAL say in booking. I say “REAL” say, meaning off-camera and not just a figurehead president, similar to Jack Tunney in the old WWF days (I know Tunney was actually a promoter as well, but hopefully, you get my point regarding the others). Finally, I have also gotten some info on Joe Don Smith (The infamous guy without any stats). His Cagematch Link: http://www.cagematch.de/?id=2&nr=2061 His Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/148069707 Apparently, he still works today in World Wrestling Council (WWC) as "JDS." If anyone is familiar with his work (preferably recent) and can get some stats going in the next 24 hours or so, we can solve that issue of him having all zeroes. That's all I got for the moment. -Bill
  5. OK, very very quick correction on the June Release. It will be out sometime MONDAY before 3 PM EST, not Sunday... I forgot about the Memorial Day Holiday, which gives me an extra off day to work on finalizing the update. -Bill
  6. OK, just a few quick notes while I am in the middle of updating... I've been going through the staff this month and am noticing that there are a lot of potential "owners" in the game that might better fit in as a production worker, Road Agent, etc. Mostnotably, the conglomerate of people selected to run WCW in the 80's and 90's before Eric Bischoff took over (Jim Herd, Brad Siegel, Bill Watts, I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones that come to mind). While looking through and doing a bit of research, I noticed that one of the Rougeau brothers (Jacques) is currently an owner, while the other (Raymond) is still a worker. After researching the two of them, however, I noticed that jacques is the one who actually does still get in the ring from time to time, where Raymond seems to be completely done with in the ring competition. So, here's the question I have, assuming nobody finds that my research is incomplete (which is possible): Should we swap the two, so that Jacques is the worker, while Raymond is the staff member? I haven't read anywhere that Raymond actually owns (or owned) a promotion, but I do know that he did commentary, so perhaps making him an announcer would suffice. If we move Jacques to a worker, what stats would need altered, as I would likley just use the same file currently used by Raymond, just modifying it for Jacques. From my recollection of them, they were pretty similar in the ring, perhaps Jacques would be a bit more over, as he did have a singles run with the Mountie gimmick, whereas I don't think Ray ever had a singles run. OR Should we delete Raymond from the workers section (unless again, someone finds out that he still does wrestle) and add him to staff, again as an announcer? I haven't found any concrete evidence that Jacques actually owns a promotion on his own, but I have read that he has a wrestling school and does promote, so perhaps making him a trainer, while leaving booker checked would make this a bit more realistic. His myspace says Albany, NY: http://www.myspace.com/omantortuga However, that could be where he lives now, or perhaps he is billed from Mexico, so OWW used that? Not 100% sure either way... If we can find a sure-fire answer, please let me know. As I stated before, the June update will most lilley be out sometime Sunday afternoon, probably before 5 PM EST. There most likley WILL NOT BE A JULY UPDATE, as I'm scheduled to have surgery in the middle of the month. Still, I'd like to trat the next update's thread just like we always do, just expect it to go on for two months, as opposed to one. I fully intend to pick up from that thread and prepare for the August update. There is a chance July could be released, but if it is, I honestly wouldn't expect many changes, which is the reason I'm planning to hold off until August... There just won't be enough changes made to warrant an update. But, we'll see. With that in mind, expect there to be discussion started on the removal of workers. I'm planning to go through my current list and start picking workers off of that list who I can't find anything for. It'll lilley start with a modest amount of names (10-15, 20 max) and most likely, a separate thread will be created to try to find info on JUST THOSE WORKERS. If we can't find anything, they'll likely be deleted by the time August's update hits. Again, I plan to start with workers that I can find absolutely nothing on. We'll take things as we go from that point. Finally, as I have been adjusting gimmicks for some workers, so that, at the start of the game, there isn't a note that wrestler X's gimmic is "not working," "killing heat," etc, I started wondering if we shouldn't adjust other items so that you basically start the game on a "clean slate." What I mean, for example is, when you start a game using Shimmer, Sophie tells you to "increase production values to 50% as soon as possible." To prevent this, should we set the data so that Shimmer's production values are at 50% from the start? I'm sure other promotions would need some adjusting as well, so thoughts on this are welcome. I'm not talking about adding staff, assigning a trainer to a school, etc to satisfy those remarks... Just basically the itmes such as production values that probably should be acceptable from day one. Again, just a thought I had, to make the updates a bit more playable right off the bat. -Bill
  7. Just thought I'd pop in with a few notes: This article states he was 35 on 4/8/10: http://www.outsports.com/os/index.php/component/content/article/62-news/315-tna-embraces-bisexual-wrestler-orlando-jordan Since it is a pretty recent article, I tend to believe it a bit more than Wiki or IMDB, which is where Online World of Wrestling could have gotten their info. Assuming his birthmonth is July, as it is stated everywhere I have seen (though the year varies, pending on the site you look at) he should hit his 36th birthday this July. Unless we can get something more concrete, let's go with that. He attempted a Diving Headbutt last night on RAW vs Edge... One thing that is kind of a pet peeve of mine is having the same finisher as both primary and secondary, unless there really is no second finisher. I do try to look from time to time and update the finishers that are commonly used during the time I am working on the update. For example, Chris Jericho currently has the Codebreaker and Walls of Jericho... He's also used the Double Powerbomb and Lionsault in the past, though... But not nearly as recently as the first two mentioned. Undertaker is another who has many finisher, pending on his opponent at the time. I also like having a couple of different move types, such as an impact and submission, as opposed to two impact moves. It's not REALLY important to me, but personally, when the opportunity allows it, I like having different finishers, which is why most of the women added recently that I haven't found finishers for have Low Blow and Bitch Slap... We could put Killswitch as both of Christians, but personally, I like having two finishers when possible... Kinda surprised that Steve Austin doesn't have the Million Dollar Dream as his secondary... But, if there's a big contingent that disagrees with me, we can change it, I suppose... That is one of the things you can easily change ingame, though. On to a few items that some of you might be able to help with: First off, does anyone have any info on the wrestler named "Viper" in the game? The only things I can determine from the game are that he is on the IWA-EC roster and that his finisher is the Crash Test. He also has trainer checked. The pic I have is a masked wrestler and the closest match on cagematch is this profile: http://www.cagematch.de/?id=2&nr=783 If that is the right guy, it states he's in the ECWA hall of fame, but no record of him in IWA-EC... Ingame, he has no alter egos, no relationships and no tag teams. I checked my "Data Needs" notes and he's not on it, which means that, at least at one time, I believed his birthmonth and age as they are in the game to be accurate. As you can probably figure out, I'm looking to find an alter ego for this guy, so I can rename the wrestler Lotus (Jeannie Kim) to Viper, as that is her name in Wrestlicious. While searching, I also did find a myspace that could potentially be the guy, as he is listed as a myspace friend of IWA-EC's official myspace... But, this guy is not masked and the birthmonth and age would be incorrect ingame (which the pic I have and info ingame could certainly be incorrect): http://www.myspace.com/viper4pain Anyone with info on this, please enlighten me... Also, would anyone happen to have any info on workers Faith and Halo SPRW? Again, I'm hoping for an alter ego for Faith, so I can use it and not have to worry about it messing up alter egoes with Portia Perez, as "Faith" is her Wrestlicious name. Their pics seem to indicate that they are indeed a team (or were... the background indicates that it was one pic split into two headhots, but I haven't found much info on these guys. They are both listed in my "Needs in data," meaning I need to confirm both their birthmonths and ages, so any help, even if we can't find an alter ego for Faith, would help make the data more accurate. I'm currently planning on releasing the June update on May 31st, sometime during the daytime hours in the US, so it will be released before RAW and therefore not have anything that might occur on RAW on the 31st included. I'm still doubting that there will be a July update, due to my surgery, but treat the thread for the June update as you would any other... Worst case, the thread will just go for 2 months instead of one. It's still the easiest way to track any suggested changes. -Bill
  8. Just going quickly through the gimmicks... Rain (Felony) could be Cheater, Crazy, Degenerate, Evil, Old School Heel, Thief The 2 Angels, Cobra and Anaconda, it's kinda hard to figure at this ppoint, because all's we've seen is their part in the music videos... I gave Viper (still in the game as Lotus) the "seductress" gimmick, due to her line in the rap... "I'm Viper, baby, who all the boys like." That could be completely off, but I can only go off of what info I have. Things that could fit, though: Degenerate, Evil, Ice Man, Old School Heel, Street Fighter, Troublemaker I could see arwrestling's suggestions working too... The only issue is, I used troublemaker on Portia Perez, Nicole Matthews and Charity (Naughty Girls). Dunno if I like the idea of using the same gimmick on so many workers. I'm sure others could potentially fit, the above as I said was just a quick glance. -Bill
  9. This would be Angel Rose: http://www.myspace.com/darkenangel26 Probably one I added myself and based stats, etc off of workers she had faced. I tend to add workers in groups, so she could have been grouped in with the workers around her. As always, feel free to suggest changes. Wouldn’t argue either of these… My first goal was to get gimmicks on everyone that would actually WORK, but I tried to get them as close as possible with what we know regarding Wrestlicious. Company risk is right at 65%, and Slut gimmick requires 65% so I don’t know if there could be a problem there or not. To the best of my knowledge, the only gimmicks that don’t currently work for Wrestlicious are Rain (Convict) and Cobra and Anaconda (Gangsta) as they both require Menacing to be checked to work. Dunno if Anaconda and Cobra could be considered “menacing enough,” but Rain certainly isn’t. That’s what happens when one of my last changes was to make Big Show a face and I noticed he had a Bully gimmick… BFG was the first thing that popped into my head. As I stated in last month's thread, Wrestlicious still needs some work, but I think it's off to a decent start. Two things that I didn't mess with too much that I plan to look at more closely this month are the wages and card positions. All things considered ( and considering some workers work for other promotions as well) I don't think the wage scale is too bad, but can use some adjusting. As for the card positions, with only six episodes aired, it's kinda hard to guage exactly where the card positions should fall. With more episodes starting to air next week, hopefully, we can get a better idea. -Bill
  10. Data link added... Finally decided to work... -Bill
  11. OK, for whatever reason, MegaUpload is not taking the DATA version of the update (even though it's smaller obviously). I'll try to get it uploaded in DATA form ASAP, but need to get moving at the moment, so I don't have time to sit and wait for it to decide to work. I'll also have comments regarding the update probably within the next day or so. -Bill MegaUpload: FULL: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CL1YRFI5 DATA: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5YYMLPW6
  12. Just so everyone is aware, the update will be ready by tomorrow afternoon, likely before 3 PM EST. I originally wanted to release it today, but with the massive amount of adds, etc requested this month, I just think it's smarter to take an extra day and get some of those on. Also, I'm running through some checks for Wrestlicious and am realizing that a few things won't work right out of the box... mainly gimmicks. Taking an extra day to fine tune that a bit will, IMO, make the update better and make the promotion a little bit easier to iron out as we go on. As I said before, I don't expect it to be perfect on the first shot, but if I know there are problems, might as well correct those beforehand, so we don't have to worry about them next month. Also, while I had a few, wanted to address some posts: I made her a manager. According to her website, she still takes bookings for wrestling: http://www.trinitywrestling.com/bookings.html While she might not actually wrestle, I can see her acting in a Manager capacity and is a happy medium between wrestler and non-wrestler. The problem with that is, Prazak does play by play on the Shimmer DVD's. If we added him as a worker to Shimmer, he'd only be able to do color... With his involvement in other promotions, we can't really delete him as a worker either, so the most accurate way to cover the bases is to have him in as he is now. You'll notice that the staff member is unsackable, so chances are slim of the two popping up on the same promotion. Since he doesn't appear on-camera in Shimmer, again, this is the best way to accurately have him fill all of his positions in the game. http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/article/jim-ross-blogs-latest-on-his-wwe-status-future-plans-101255 Looks like his talent contract is the only one that has expired... "However, I am still a WWE employee handling the same talent relations functions that I have executed for the company for the past few years including since moving to Oklahoma. I simply do not have a 'talent contract' as WWE has no plans to utilize me as an on air talent at this time." There is if you know where to look... http://www.mschif.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=143&start=210 - Indicates her birthmonth is June http://www.mschif.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=143&start=15 - Her post, on 4/21/08, she says “Give me a couple months” when someone guesses her age at 33. With her birthmonth being in June, it’s safe to assume she was 32 when she made the post (4/21/08). That would make her 34 now, turning 35 in June. My first goal for Wrestlicious was to get the workers we KNEW were on the show on the roster first and foremost. Meaning, they had appeared on one of the episodes, or at least one of the promos. I've read that Astara, Josie (Sojo Bolt) and Angelina Altishin (GLOW's Little Egypt) among others will be joining the cast for season 2. The thing is, it's possible (not likely, I admit) that WWE could sign one of them before Season 2 taping begins and I would think that would cancel their plans for joining Wrestlicious. I have them noted and such, but at this time, we don't even know who their characters will be, etc, so my #1 priority is to get the season 1 workers on the roster, then work on season 2 workers. I'm kinda still debating it nd might throw them on before the release tomorrow because, as of May 1, 2010, they were slated to join. But, long story short, I did have her on my list, just hadn't added her as of yet. Think that's all I got for now. -Bill
  13. IMO, probably the most diplomatic thing to do at that point would be to simply switch his written deal over to an open one. Of course, if we hear different before the release (he signs a new deal, goes elsewhere, etc) we can reflect that change. I'm not sure if staff members working for WWE have 90 day non compete clauses in their deals or not, so it might just have to be one of those things we play by ear and do the best to reflect real life in the most accurate way possible. Before the update is released, I wanted to comment some on Wrestlicious. While they will in fact be included in the May update, I don't expect the promotion or roster to be 100% accurate. Part of this is due to the fact that they are holding off releases of new episodes until all of the affiliates get caught up, so every station will air the same episode at the same time. As a result, I only have 6 actual episodes to go off of, so I have to work with what I have. Another reason is the fact that, even though I feel I have a significant amount of knowledge about the promotion, I certainly don't claim to know absolutely everything. We'll simply have to do our best and adjust as more info regarding the promotion and it's roster come in. As of now, this is the ingame roster for Wrestlicious. Hopefully, we can fill in some of the gimmick holes within the next few days as well... Just not sure about some... For example, what would the best gimmick in EWR be to represent "Southern Belle?" I'm sure, based on some other people's research on Wrestlicious, I'm going to get a few posts giving me info, or stating that the information I have posted is incorrect. I can think of two things right off of the top. So, I went ahead and pre-emtive struck those... I put them in spoilers for those who don't want to be "spoiled" on some of the Wrestlicious info: as always, if anyone has any additional info that they can share (and can back it up with info) definitely feel free to post it. -Bill
  14. I repeat.....where is this update or the lat one to be released as I cannot find them anywhere.... Links are in the first post on the first page of this thread, as always: Megaupload: FULL: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8INVI61V DATA: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HDW0LEYM The thing is, wait a week and a new one will be out, hopefully with most of the suggested changes posted in this thread made. Also, a little off topic, but a little disappointed that this was locked: http://www.ewbattleground.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78733&st=0 I got a kick out of it, to be honest... So, if you're REALLY curious... http://www.ewbattleground.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78751 -Bill
  15. Very brief note on the workers without a pic and possible deletion from the game for them: Just having a pic with no additional info on them doesn't really help, because my next targets would be workers that I do have pics for, but can't find any other info on. So, just having a pic and thinking that would keep the worker on the game won't last for evry long. Of course, I'd love any (non kyky) pic of workers that currently don't have pics, but info on those workers is even better. Also, expect deleting these workers to be a process. Meaning, we won't take 200 worers off in one month. My plan is to assemble a full list (like arwrestling did... Thank You) and then breaking that down into looking for like, 10 workers at a time. I'd go through the 10 workers, check their alter egos, etc for any leads that can maybe be found, then, if nothing pops up, they would go to the proposed deletion list. I'll always post a "Proposed deletion list" and give others a chance to find or provide info before deleting the worker. As usual, it'll basically be "here's the list that will be deleted, unless others can find info on them." As always, when providing any info, links are very much appreciated, just so I can find out where the hell I missed looking. Of course, if you see a worker without a pic (or even with a pic) and have info for the worker, the sooner the info is posted, the better. Any pics with the "No pic available" pic in... If you have a non kyky pic, please feel free to post it. Personally, I prefer full pics that I can cut on my own, without any artificial background. Nothing against the pic cutters or background users, but I would think a full pic that they can use for cutting purposes would make their jobs easier as well. -Bill
  16. Before I forget, I wanted to make a quick comment on the "Proposed worker deletion list" that was posted earlier in the thread. As I have stated a few times, I do have an idea on some of the workers currently in the game that I'll be looking to delete in the not too distant future. Unfortunately, it seems to get pushed onto the back burner a lot while working on updates. That could very well be one of the things I look further into while recovering from surgery in June. Right off the bat, I'll tell you the first targets I'm gonna be aiming at for deletion are the workers with the red "Unknown" pic still on the game. Those are the workers I really haven't had much luck finding anything on. If they have the white "No Photo Available" pic in their spot, at least I've found info on them and can continue looking for things. Their birthmonth, age, etc, might be all accurate,I just haven't found a pic. But, the ones with the red "Unknown" pic, chances are, I haven't found any info at all on them. Those will be my first targets. While I have said that I plan to stop at 5000 workers, there's no guarantee that that stop will be a permanent one. At this point, it's a stopping spot for me to not have to focus on adding more workers and work on getting some of the ones that we can't find info on out of the game. I'm afraid if we don't have some sort of line to stop at for a month or two to shift attention to getting some of the "excess" out of the game, it'll never get done. There are also some workers in the game with perfect stats that we could probably do without as well and not have many people crying. I mean, do people REALLY use Donald Trump or Danny Bonaduce? Now that I've said that, I'm sure some do, but you get the idea. Keep in mind that I didn't add all of the workers to the database... I used an update as a starting point, so I might not even know who in the hell some of these people are. Chances are also good that, if I personally added the worker into the game at some point, I'll be less likely to remove them. Reason being, someone wanted them added at some point for me to add them. I might have even added them becaise I wanted to see them in. Doesn't mean that, because I added them, I'll refuse to remove them, if there is good enough reason... Might just be a little more difficult to convince me is all. Based on the lists provided beforehand, here's a few that I personally know where they came from: Ice Cold – Former WOW wrestler Jennifer Bancalum – WCW Nitro Girl “Starr” Tamie Sheffield – Former WOW wrestler, member of the “Beach Patrol” Shannon McNeill – WCW Nitro Girl “Baby” Taylor Vaughn – AKA B.B. The EMT, Barbara Bush in WWE April Littlejohn – Former WOW wrestler, named “Riot” Danger – Former WOW wrestler Jamie Cragwell – WCW Nitro Girl “Naughty-A” Allison Pfau – WCW Nitro Girl “Syren” Caryn Mower – WWE “Trainer” for Stephanie McMahon, named “Muffy” Bobbi Billard – Signed to Wrestlicious Chiquita Anderson – WCW Nitro Girl “Chiquita” Emcee SKIM – AKA Tai “Killer” Weed Amy Crawford – WCW Nitro Girl “AC Jazz” Chae An – WCW Nitro Girl “Chae” I'm sure I could identify more, these were just off the top of my head. -Bill
  17. OK, long time, no post... As of now, I'm hoping to have the May Update out on Sunday, May 2nd, somewhere around the Noon EST mark... Maybe a little earlier, maybe a little later, pending on how things go between now and then. Obviously, that could change, but right now that's the goal. As I stated earlier, I was gonna go through some of the sponsors and perhaps adjust slogans or put a new sponsor in altogether. As I said before, I made no changes to the morality or payment, just really changes for cosmetics. So far, I made a whopping two changes: Sony: Changed slogan to make.believe Passion Parties: Changed to ExtenZe (Figured that was more universally known). I also did a little thinking on the "Local" sponsors currently in the game, such as "Local Bank" "Local Library" etc. There are currently 31 of these in the game and really, the reason they were added was just to get some more sponsors in the game with lower payments. I'm not sure if people like the idea, would like to see somethign a bit different, or even care one way or the other. In the end, they're just names and don't affect the gameplay. But, I got to thinking that, if people wanted to see something different, I could overhaul those and make them items sold on infomercials, just to give the game a little cosmetic boost. So, instead of "Local Bar," you could, for instance, be sponsored by "Slap Chop" or "ShamWow." Again, not the world's greatest tweak, I realize and one just for basically comedic effect ingame, but, realize that I see about 3000 infomercials a week, as I'm up in the graveyard hours in the United States. Finally, more of a "heads up" than anything and I'm sure I'll be a little more specific as the time gets closer, but, as of right now, I do not plan to do a update that would start on July 1, 2010. The main reason is that I am scheduled for surgery in Mid-June and, with recovery time and taking into account the fact that I'll be travelling about 1100 miles total to the hospital to have it done, I really don't know how much time I'll have in the month of June to put an update out. Of course, pending on the situation, that could change, but I'd rather say now that there likely won't be so people aren't asking questions later. I fully intend to resume with August 2010 and will probably be working on some other stuff to improve the updates in between. -Bill
  18. If I rememebr right, the last time the networks were modified any, someone actually researched each and every network to get the most accurate ratings, risk levels, etc as possible. I'm pretty sure I didn't overhaul the networks, because, as I said, it's always pretty much last on my list to even look at and to be honest, I just don't have enough time to do the regular updating and worry about the network file, as long as it's working. Same with the sponsors. I haven't touched that in forever, although I'm looking over it a little now, just to see if anything can be updated (like a slogan) or if something else fits in possibly better. Chances are, not too much will be done to it, as far as moving the payments or morality any, just a "cosmetic facelift" and again, probably not much of one, if any. I'll probably list any changes made there and again, it would likley just be the sponsor name and/or the slogan. If someone (or a group of someones) wants to take the time and overhaul the networks, I have no problem with that. As long as the file actually works within the game, that's what is my primary concern. I think last time, when it was finished, they just uploaded the "network" file to like MegaUpload, where I downloaded it and simply included it in the updates from that point on. -Bill
  19. OK, quick news and notes, so we can get some debate going in the next couple days on some things: BSE has been swapped over to Maximum Pro Wrestling (MAXPRO) and Red's post was followed pretty much to a T on that. I didn't mess with the base, size, cash, image, risk or anything like that, basially just renamed the promotion, removed all of the workers that were under the "Remove from roster" part of his post and added the workers already in the game. he had RJ City as not being in the game, but he actually is, so I added him as well. This is the list of workers he stated were on the Maximum Pro Roster, but not yet in the game: Ali Atish, Andrew Davis, Anthony Fiasco, Anthony Marquez, Ashley Sixx, Boris Brezhnev, Buck Gunderson, Decimus, Kaspian Dolce, Ken Wright, Kid Copeland, Manabu Soya, Marcus Marquez, Mike Rollins, Nick Vickers, Primo Scordino, Scotty Cameron, Tony Carbonie, Yujiro Kushida. If any are under alter egos or whatnot, please let me know ASAP, or hopefully, someone has some stats for these guys. Wrestlicious is in the process of being added. The promotion has been created and I started with the following: Small Size, US Base, 2 Mil Cash, 65 Image, 40 Risk, 50 Production, 20% Advertising, 15% Merchandise. Those numbers put them in 32nd, promotion wise, ahead of WSU and ISW, while being behind ECCW, CW and PWX in the "small promotions." Again, these can be adjusted, just needed a starting point. The only "initials" I could come up with were "WRE," as you can only have six spaces. Personally, I think it's a bit lame, but can't really think of any ideas that are less than 6 initials. Feel free to voice any ideas. As of now, I have added 26 worers to the promotion and the ones that have no other promotion affiliation in the game will be renamed to their Wrestlicious persona. Again, it's not complete yet, as I am still working on things, but, as of now, I see 7 workers that are on the game, but have 3 promotions already, or have a written deal, meaning they cannot be on Wrestlicious, unless we make a change to one of their current promotions or their contract. They are: Ashley Lane: TNA, SHI, JAPW Jennifer Blake: AAA, SHI, JAPW Portia Perez: SHI, WSU, JAPW Rain: AAA, SHI, WSU Mercedes Martinez: SHI, WSU, EVOLVE Daizee Haze: ROH, SHI, CHI Serena Deeb: Written contract with WWE I'll let everyone debate on whether they think a worker's role in any of the promotions they are in is worth removing in favor of adding them to Wrestlicious. -Bill
  20. If I had to wager a guess, it's Courtney Taylor... Lot going around about her being possibly released. -Bill
  21. It's not that we CAN'T have more than 50 TV networks... It's just a nice round number that I would prefer to have as much of the data in as possible, simply for updating reasons. If there was a way to constantly overhaul the networks, I wouldn't have as much problem with adding more. The thing is, the network file gets updated MAYBE once a year and, to be honest, with all of the other stuff I do on the updates, it's usually one of the last things I worry about updating at all, unless there is a major problem with it that really needs attention. Here's my questions... When's the last time you saw wrestling on Showtime or HBO? Has there ever been wrestling on Comedy Central? Disney? VH1? Nickelodeon? Granted, there has never been wrestling on CBS or ABC to my knowledge either, but the point is, how many of these networks are really likely homes for a wrestling show? On top of that, is it physically possible to get a TV deal from all of the 50 stations in the game at this time? Meaning, are all of the audiences and risks on each network actually capable of getting a show? Can you get an offer from, say, the Disney Channel, with their maximum risk at any time slot being 25%? If it's not possible to get a TV show on each and every network in each and every timeslot (not saying with the same promotion, just possible in one way or another) then we either need to tweak it so you CAN get a show, or else what is the purpose of having it in there at all? Those really were the main reasons for limiting it to 50 networks. Of course, as always, if someone wants to work on this portion of the update and give some feedback, I'm not 100% against adding more networks... I just want to make sure that all of the networks we have in the game actually work. Probably for this month, I'll switch BSE to Maximum Pro Wrestling, remove the workers we know aren't in and see where the data stands from there. If we're still missing 20 workers, though, it probably would be a good idea to look at another promotion. -Bill
  22. Just at a qucik glance, there seem to be a LOT of Maximum Pro Wrestling Roster members not in the game (about 20, if my count is correct?). That's a lot of missing workers... Perhaps we should consider removing the promotion altogether and going with another promotion that has a good chunk of the roster on the game? Also, just to update, I've done a lot of work on the Wrestlicious promotion and seem to be getting new (or at least confirmed) info on the promotion on a daily basis. With Adding Wrestlicious, we almost have to add MavTV to the TV networks, meaning we'll have to delete one currently in the game to stay at 50. Any ideas on which to delete? Also, any ideas on the sort of audience and risk the network should get? On top of that, any suggestions on the promotion info itself, such as image, risk, production, ads, merchandise, etc? I have some initial thoughts, but wanted to hear if anyone else had any ideas as well. I'm still working on compiling some information and I'm sure it won't be 100% perfect the first time out, but it hopefully will be a pretty good start. -Bill
  23. I see this asked a lot, especially lately. Here's the thing... I've been updating since January of 2007 (I actually started in May 2006, just prepping the data and info for 6 months before ever releasing anything). Most months, I add pics and obviously, over the course of 3 years (36 updates) the pic total has really added up. When I first started, I didn't want to keep releasing the exact same pic of a person every month, so I devised the format that I use now. The way to get every pic I've ever included in any given update is to simply download all the updates, as the updates were designed for people that planned on downloading every update and following things every month. Obviously, some (probably most) people have lives and don't do that. So, whatever month they end up downloading, the new and updated pics for that month are the ones they get. Obviously, this leaves holes in spots for some. Really, the only other alternative would be to do what I don't want to do and release every pic every month. That would take up a lot of space very quickly and make the downloading of the zip files a very long process. I want to minimize that as much as possible. What I have done in the past is upload my working folder from time to time. What this would include is every picture I use in my personal game. Since my copy is essentially the "Master," the problem of a worker not having a pic would be eliminated. The negative to that is, the pic you would get for a given worker might not be the one you want. For example, the pic I have of Trish Stratus in my game is an older WWE shot with her wearing a silver cowboy hat and having blonde hair... My Serena Deeb pic also has hair, etc. You might prefer a different shot, or one which is more updated that the one I have. But, doing it this way, at least you'd have a pic for every worker and staff member that I have a pic for. You'd simply have to replace the pics you didn't want with your own preferred versions. Also, if you like a background, like KYKY, you'd have to replace them all, as I don't use any backgrounds. But again, using this pic pac as a starting point would fill any holes that you would have. If you have a sizeable collection of pics and just want to fill holes that you don't have pics of workers/staff for, you could download it and just drag every pic into your current pic folder, saying "No" when it asks you to replace a pic of the same name and that should fill the holes. Just explaining why I do things the way I do and a possible way to help out if people are just looking to fill some of the holes. Hope this makes sense. -Bill
  24. Before I forget, 4 workers I want to add for certain are the 4 Japanese women debuting at Shimmer next weekend. I wanted to get them into the game this month, so that Shimmer would have more accurate of a roster, but I simply ran out of time and saw no stats for them anywhere. If anyone wants to help out, based on anything they have seen from these four, it would be greatly appreciated: AYUMI KURIHARA, HIROYO MATSUMOTO, MISAKI OHATA, TOMOKA NAKAGAWA Card position, etc should work itself out, based on who they face next weekend. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to Shimmer this time around, so I won't be able to see them in person. I was holding out hope that I could possibly pull the trip off, but just too much other stuff going on to make it happen, unfortunately. Got some more research done on Wrestlicious, so getting closer with having that project become a reality. I still need to go through all of my info and dig deeper on some things, but hopefully, I can have a more manageable list of things to look for within the next day or so. Right now, I'm working with a list of about 66 people involved with the promotion and am probably missing a couple here and there. I'm rying to think of a way to possibly release this as some sort of "supplemental" pic pack, since there is just SO much stuff and I'm sure some will want pics of the workers in their Wrestlicious gimmicks. Like I said, I'm hoping to know even more in a couple of days. -Bill
  25. Yeah, I have all sorts of notes on Wrestlicious and have had for some time actually. Most of this is accurate, I would disagree with two items on this list (One I'm pretty sure is wrong and the other is a minor error if wrong). I'll be going through all of my info extensively and taking notes while watching the available episodes to piece together as much as possible. -Bill
