  1. Does anyone watch Fringe? I struggled through the first couple of episodes but basically hated it. Can see similarities to Lost, but it just seemed so unremarkable.
  2. Do you have a dodgy version? That's supposedly one of the things that happens with it. I think SI released a version of the game onto torrent sites themselves with a few flaws. If you look for another version it might be better.
  3. Over-rated is the most over-used phrase in all of the internets.
  4. They're not over-rated, they're just liked by the people that determine the Oscars. It's not their fault the Oscars have become by far the most prestigious awards. They have a certain opinion on films and they have certain preferences and that's what the Oscars are all about. If you don't like it, then fine, but what more do you expect from a bunch of sappy octogenarian film industry professionals?
  5. Just seen exactly how the CL qualification is changing from next season: There's no indication of seeding for the final qualifying round, so it's highly unlikely that all 5 of the teams that enter that round will qualify. This makes the difference between 3rd and 4th in the league far, far more important that the difference between 2nd and 3rd in previous years.
  6. Villa definitely seems like he's set his sights on a guaranteed starting spot at Real or Barcelona. He's rejected offers from both of them recently because with the likes of Eto'o and Raul still hanging around he's not going to get the opportunity to be the first choice striker. If he's rejecting offers from those two then he's not likely to go to another country to a team that until this season wasn't seriously challenging for the title. Of course, Liverpool have more Spanish players than Barce/Real...
  7. Solskjaer never left, he's been in charge of the reserves for the last couple of seasons.
  8. They were both in the UEFA Cup IIRC - that's the only way you're allowed to transfer over, from one competition to the other. Teams can take one player who's played in the CL and register them for the UEFA or vice versa.
  9. Who was it that was charged with stealing toilet seats as a joke (or something?)
  10. Ebbsfleet are actually doing amazingly well since the takeover. They won the FA Trophy last season, almost got to the playoffs and they're looking to build a new stadium. The Internet > Women
  11. I've played cricket at Lord's, that trumps the fact that I've been to hardly any famous stadiums
  12. Yup, I reckon that's true for most teams and it's especially true for Villa. Their squad is tiny compared to almost everyone else in the league and with the possibility of a European run and an attempt to qualify for the Champion's League I wouldn't have blamed MON for ignoring the domestic cups completely.
  13. Here you go Goes in "Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\data\updates\update-910\db\910\lnc\all" or, if you're using steam: "Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2009\data\updates\update-910\db\910\lnc\all"
  14. Clearly the best sports are Pro Paintball and whatever the woodsman competition is called. Chainsaw Masters is what it should be, anyway.
  15. 16. Yeah, I forgot about golf, I hate it. But I love Tiger Woods, very strange.
  17. I really want to read that, but I can't quite be bothered at the moment. Still, the solution is clear - suck it up and share a ground with Everton because you're both fucked otherwise. The Milanese clubs manage it and fucking Fluminense and Flamengo manage it, there's no way Everton and Liverpool can't handle it. The credit crisis is only going to make things worse and we can't all rely on Arabs (or Clarke ) for our future
  18. Pretty self-explanatory. I'd be hard pressed to really pick a favourite sport, I seem to enjoy quite a lot nowadays. Football's the one I know most about and that I watch most regularly, but tennis is probably the one that interests me most on a match-by-match basis. Rugby union is the one I enjoyed playing most before injury made that impossible and I'm starting to get into NFL a bit more. On the other side of the coin, I really hate motorsports. I can maybe handle rally driving, but F1, or NASCAR-type stuff in particular, is unbearable for me. I couldn't watch darts either without the fucking stupid music and semi-retarded Sid Waddell. Despite loving MMA I cannot stand boxing at all and never watch it. Even during the Olympics I'd rather watch sailing or something rather than boxing. Even though it's not the most boring, Rugby League infuriates me. I was raised on Union and League seems like a training game with all the colour and variation taken out of it with no kicking and just two lines of people running into each other British Bulldog-style.
  19. They're also constantly subsidised by the Spanish government. They sold their training ground to them for an absolutely ludicrous amount of money and then had it leased back to the immediately.
  20. Azura's Star is incredibly useful as well - it's one of the Daedric Relics and you'll come across it quite quickly during the main quest. You'll be prompted to sacrifice it, but you can actually use any of the other artifacts as well. One of the useless staffs will probably be better to trade in if you've come across them.
  21. Clarke's our next manager, they can have Zola.
  22. It's relatively easy to succeed when you're at a club that has a fantastic ethos, world-class players and you only have half a season to fuck things up. Chelsea was a ship set on auto-pilot for success and Grant allegedly did almost nothing during his time at the club. He didn't take training and he let Steve Clark and the players take team talks. I'd like to see how well he did with a team whose confidence is low, whose players are ageing and that's been shorn of their best asset (Steve Clark.) Seriously, Clark has the makings of one of the best managers in the game. What he's done at West Ham is miraculous and I attribute the vast bulk of our success and Chelsea's shortcomings to him.
  23. Yeah, probably. All the Chelsea players will be jetting off to other places, why can't he? I think it's an ideal situation for Chelsea - they can't get a top class manager now (Ancelotti, Mourinho etc.) and it's hard to imagine a Rijkaard or Mancini taking the job for 4 months. Grant simply isn't good enough for the job. Hiddink taking the job part-time is the only way they'll get a great manager mid-season that they can get let go in the summer.
