  1. What makes you think people won't be trying to win within a minute anymore? The World Wide Web Championship is on the line afterall.
  2. Just listened to the CD the whole way through for the first time, and "Pinocchio Story" is amazing. That is all.
  3. If I'm to believe the hundreds of replies to those topics, yea, I'd say it's complete bullshit.
  4. Yea I dl'ed it. Pretty much what you'd expect considering everyone has the same moveset. But it is good being able to use Petey. He's got the 'Middleweight' moveset (where he does a springboard back elbow.)
  5. And I'm sold. Seeing as that's my main reason for never playing online. Media 2.0 Console - Xbox 360 Gamertag - ZhaneStyles Superstar - MVP
  6. That must mean you skipped 08? As after the initial change, it feels incredibly natural. Using a face button was fine when you could only run in 8 directions, and tapping it automatically made you run, but with having ultimate control over where you run (which IMO is better) it makes more sense for it to be a top button. Imagine under the current scheme trying to run with Y, and then do an attack with X. Or better yet, trying to grapple with the right stick. Now that, doesn't feel right. I imagine most who hadn't tried the new control system will adjust pretty quickly.
  7. Not that anyone cares anymore...but I've read Curryman, Petey Williams, and Mike Tenay are supposed to be available tomorrow for 100 MS points.
  8. Now, I am a huge Miz fan (Hell, since Real World) and I even like the Reality Check, but what the heck is up with people and this move1? I don't think I've seen a finisher talked about more on any forums at all. Now even though I like it, I've always felt sort of meh, about it as finisher as I see it as pretty much a neckbreaker. But I've seen 20+ posts of people saying it was going to be their finisher, as well as many more requesting for people who got it early to post what it looked like a few days ago. I don't know, it's just sort of weird, this high demand for the move.
  9. Ok, I was ready to start this post with "Fuck them" when I saw that damn Christmas attire. But they more then made for it with Bourne!, Haas, and Dibiase. Real question is, how much are they going to cost?
  10. Yea, I was about to point out, even if you use VATS, to say shoot someone in the face, point blank, it doesn't take everyone out. There was a supermutant earlier, where it took me 3 VATS shots to the face to end him. Also, in case anyone doesn't know (which I didn't before I got it) you can only use VATS a limited amount of times. It takes up AP points to use it. Although is does regenerate at a fairly decent speed, you'll have moments where you go to use it, only to see the "Low AP" message, and you can't...which when you're being swarmed, is not a good thing. But I think I made the mistake of going to far, to early, considering I was facing swarms of supermutants and raiders, and I'm barely level 3. Yea, I quickly chose to fast travel back to Megaton lol.

    Fable 2

Don't have the game, but I believe that just comes from being evil.
  12. I figured there was a secret mission from the notice board with the newspaper clipping but have not yet figure out how to get to it? I'd appreciate the heads up if possible Spoiler: Click here to viewIt's inside the Police Station in Troy's office, at the very south of the Saint's Row district.
  13. If they're wearing purple, they're your gang. There are bums in the basement of your crib that you can do all the beating you want to though.
  14. Currently using preppy, or whatever it's called. We're dressed to impressed as we kill you. And yea it's definitely a plus you don't have to use a certain weapon. Although, some of those fuckers have bodyguards. I did one yesterday where I had to kill the guy who hangs at the tattoo shop, and he had a bodyguard, as well as a doppelganger with his on bodyguard...I guess it was a glitch or something, but I had to kill both of them before the Hitman registered. Unless that was just supposed to be a decoy or something.
  15. Yea, and I also thought it was hinted at that Joker already knew who it was. But like you said, he didn't care because his only focus was on Batman, and Bruce Wayne was just a regular guy to him. Can't remember what issue it was about, but I remember reading on another forum that Joker and Bruce Wayne exchanged glances in a few panels, like he knew, but then Joker went on his way ignoring him. If anything, I'd be more pissed about the other 10,000 people that now know Bruce is Batman. I mean come on, the Metal Men? (Even though I think Superman/Batman is out of continuity for the most part) Anyways, I've enjoyed R.I.P. Although I will admit I've enjoyed the tie-ins more. More specifically Robin. But I didn't see what was wrong with the issue, and I've found the story interesting. Quite different from the Batman figures out everything in the first 3 pages, and then takes out the bad guys we get majority of the time. Plus, the pre-crisis references are a nice tough. Even though like others I had to go back and read up on some stuff to figure out what the hell was going on.
  16. How so? In fact, it sounds like it would make for some excellent spots. I can picture now jumping from the second story of a building (Which hopefully with the new walking feature there'll be some kind of way to climb, or at the very least, lots and lots of stairs so you can go everywhere) and grinding all the way down a fallen girder at a construction site. While the 'story' may not be the greatest, really...was there even one in Skate.? Which consisted of do tricks to get in magazines. So as long as there are fun spots to skate, I'm game.
  17. They did such a horrible job with the pictures this year. And the bad thing is those are what appear for match up screens. Half of them look like botch up photoshop jobs, where they just put the superstars face on the character model. And the ones they somewhat got right, are just screwed up pictures, like BDV's face there. It'd be a lot better if they just did like the TNA game, or SYM, and used real pictures. Or at the very least use the actual character models.
  18. Roster. http://s247.photobucket.com/albums/gg136/d...3/svr09%20pics/ And most likely that's the complete roster. I doubt there will be legends. With there soon to be a Legends game of their own. Although Tazz seems to be included.
  19. It all depends on your strategy. Some moves are unblockable. So if you tend to use the hip toss, DDT, etc. it'll be a lot easier for you to avoid reversals and damage your opponents. If you keep attempting something like a DVD, or Fireman's Carry (Which as mentioned, seems to be the easiest position to reverse) then you're going to have a lot tougher time getting the job done. Plus of course, it depends on what difficulty you're on. And contrary to what some other forums might have said Backyard=Easy, Pro=Hard. (Before I got the game, saw a couple places say the reverse was right, which just isn't true at all.)
  20. Having never heard it before, I actually like it. It works with the heel character more then his current one, IMO.
  21. So I already know then who I am playing as on my first career mode.......i think last time around. You'll be able to play him in the story mode right? although he's not really on the mic that much? Wrong. You'll only be able to play six different stories. Punk, Jericho, HHH, Undertaker, Cena, Batista/Mysterio. So no go on Kofi in storymode. Unless this 'mystery mode' that has yet to be revealed is some kind of story mode for other characters.
  22. I obviously haven't been the biggest supporter of this game, but I don't think it should be judged by the PS2 version, bought from the store. As I'm positive both graphics, and gameplay speed are greatly enhanced by the 360.
  23. Um.... Full entrances cut in half... are half entrances... You cant take a full glass of water, pour half of it out, and then go "it's still a full glass of water" just because the glass is fully intact. Full entrances are ramp to ring, not just coming out with music, video, pyro, and showing the audience in the shot on the stage. That is HALF an entrance. Not that it's a big deal, though. I couldnt really care if the entrances are full or not since there are bigger things to look at, but that comment was really... Wow. I'll give you that SD!1 didnt have matches like HIAC and whatnot, and Impact has Ultimate X, Monsters Ball, and Full Metal Mayhem (which really isnt that much better when you take into consideration what year THIS is and what year SD! was made in, and the fact that there is only one weapon in the entire game I believe). SD!1 didnt have full/true entrances and Impact is closer to that. And again, it seems like you are saying, "Well SD! 1 a decade ago didnt have much when SD! 2 fixed that problem, so its okay that Impact doesnt have much because the second one will." which is TOTALLY the wrong thing to be thinking. This isn't 1999. It isn't like features are a new thing to wrestling games. SD! 1 also didnt have to live up to another game series expectations or anything like Impact does here. We are in a day and age where SD! has shown what wrestling games are capable of/capable of having in them. Instead of delivering on the first game, Midway didnt put much into it in the end. Whether it was time issues or because they just royally screwed up, who knows. The date could have EASILY been pushed back 6 months for a spring release or something. As far as SD! being THQ's third wrestling game and this being Midways first... Um... So what? SD! was the first wrestling game for the Playstation franchise, so THQ had to start from ground up on that too did they not? If you argue that they had the other two games to go off of, well that is exactly what people have been saying about Midway and having the SD! franchise to look at. EDIT- Wow.... Jay Lethal needs to commentate in this game. That was great. I thought I read somewhere that Ultimate X was the only extra match type? I mean how are they going to have full metal mayhem, with only 1 weapon? A cage, and a bunch of chairs? Same with Monster's Ball. Which I thought was just a four way with weapons anyways.
  24. As someone said, hit an X move first before top rope moves. O moves are meant to get the person standing up groggy, so after a O move, they're more likely to get up/kick out. Only use those when you plan on hitting a standing top rope move. As for the second, you don't have to wait for the person to get up. In fact, it's easier if they don't. Hit the button combo while the person is just laying there, and he will get up groggy automatically, and you will hit the move without having to hit anything else.
  25. You can give up hope for new commentary. They've got a system, they think, works, so they're just going to keep using it. Even when they have to do new commentary, like adding JBL last year, they're still using the same lines. But as I saw someone else say, what else can you really expect from the game commentary? It's not like there's story to talk about. I don't see many other options, other then random lines of commentary that go throughout the match. The only problem is the glitches (Like, chairshot, Stunner!) which need to be fix, but other then that, I'mnot seeing the huge problem. At least we do get the few, new superstar specific comments every year. (Which will usually be overridden if you hit a high impact move though) Plus, at least you can turn it off. although I hate complete silence during a match. Repetitive commentary or not.
