  1. Eh, either way, he was fairly underwhelming as Banner. As usual it was just Ed Norton being Ed Norton, which has gotten fairly boring.

I love Ed Norton's acting and I thought he did a great job as Bruce Banner. I'm still very interested in the movie and I'm sure Ruffalo will be great for the part. If there needed to be a replacement, I think he's a solid choice.

Norton was great. Hell, even Banna was great when he had the role. I've always liked Ruffalo when I've seen him on screen and the Banner character seems perfect for him. Can't wait.

  2. I think what GoGo's getting at is that he'd have rather seen Michael Raymond James' character be a permanent one. That said, I was pretty disappointed when he died because I was hoping that he and the fat guy would become somewhat primary antagonists for the group - but I assume they're going to set up the introduction of a rival group or something.

And though I hated how he died, holy shit that was a pretty awesome scene and kind of makes me wonder what Lori would think if she knew that Rick killed those two guys, what with her reaction to Dale's claim that Shane killed Otis.

They brought up a good point on Talking Dead, Rick is a cop. When things began to esculate, he told them to calm down. He didn't draw until his target went for his gun first. Remove the zombie apocalypse, and Rick was just a cop with a clean kill.

I enjoyed last nights episode. I have a feeling the Lori stuff may lead to her getting kidnapped by the other group. Albeit not in a malicious way but in a "we found the car wreck and took care of her." Atleast at first. Maybe the other camp would ransom her off in exchange for the farm or something.

I'm also calling it now that Hershel's daughter is not in shock, but was bitten or scratched on the arm when her mother grabbed her.

While I think that's where they're heading with that, I want to believe that they are heading towards the whole "airbourne virus" cause.

Also I would have thought if someone broke a fever the first thing they would have checked is for scratches or bites.

  3. On one hand, killing off Michael Raymond-James' character is kind of a ballsy stunt casting decision. On the other hand, it's really, really not reflecting well on the show that a guy comes in, is a way more compelling actor to watch than nearly the entire actual cast, and then is gone ten minutes later.

It's called a cameo. Unless you're saying that it's sad that an actor can be on the show for 10 minutes and be better than the rest of the cast. I tend to disagree with that point but I understand your position.

  4. In unrelated talk (I didn't know where to put this):

I saw this and then realised that my only TPB of Superman falls right in the middle of this story arc, where Superman is in heaven talking to Jon Kent.

Also, I just got The Mask Omnibus Vol. 2 in the mail today. Been waiting for the right time to have some spare cash so I could buy this. Glad it's finally here.

  5. EDIT: I should read the press release before making accusations.

Props can now be disabled during entrances

This makes me happy. It's something really small that I always thought was lacking in the entrance creation. Also, have they fixed the "superstars placed on one brand interfere on another brand" problem?

  6. Just finished World War Z. I don't know how to word this but it is written in a format that I quite enjoy. It has short interviews that go for maybe 3 pages each before moving onto the next one and they all intersect with each other. It also allows me to read fiction in a way that favours my bias towards non-fiction works.

I really enjoyed that book as well. Hopefully the movie is as good as the book, but I doubt it. :(

The issue with translating WWZ into a movie is that you lose the personal stories which is the crux of the novel. Unless it's filmed like a documentary then it's bound to lose something along the way.

That's been the talk, are they going to be able to keep what makes the book so good? From what I've read they decided to go in a different direction because making the movie the way the books written was difficult and even after they wrote it they didn't think it would transition well to the big screen . Instead they're going to go into some type of gradious zombie epic that'll probably be

a trilogy. I guess if the book inspires an epic zombie movie then I can't complain.

I guess if they string out the chapters into chronological order and focus on the core events that are mentioned as turning point in the book, then it should still be alright.

  8. Saw Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows today. Wasn't really anything amazing. Maybe I enjoyed the first one more because I hadn't seen the Moffat version yet but this one just showed how glaring bad this interpretation is. I also didn't like that they basically made Holmes a psychic more than just observant.
